My boys 10. I've got a 4.10 in the cabinet waiting for him to get bigger. If he stops shooting when I pop my clogs I'm haunting him😉 . Good memories will heal you faster than hiding from it mate. I miss my mum and also my best friend every day but they wouldn't want it to harm me or stop me going on with life. Think about it 👍
I love my Yildiz .410 side by side! I just don't get to use it enough. It's a very well made gun with a very attractive stock and has lovely balance. Incredible value for money too. (£400 new a few years back). What will we all do with them when they totally ban all lead shot!? What a ridiculous state of affairs. I hope that as part of the HSE and DEFRA's plan to up hold their statement that " there is no safe level for lead in the environment" that they will also remove ALL lead from every roof on every building and every lead down pipe from every historic building within the same time scale, so it's not just shooters who yet again get a politically motivated kicking ... Hmmmm I think not!! Keep on shooting folks!!
I shoot steel in my .410s on game, lead loads for established ranges for now. Beretta 686 SP1 with Briley extended chokes. Also Mossberg 500 turkey model with Briley extended Invector chokes. Winchester and Federal both load a 3/8oz ~11gram, Fe6 load @1400fps. It would be great if those were imported or a domestic producer started making something like them. Ballistic Products in the USA has 410 steel load data and TPS steel wads for use in Fiocchi and Cheddite hulls. Those wads are light enough to ship over the pond and currently run 0.081 pence/each. If a gun can shoot it safely, reloads with Fe5 have been working well for closer in, ≤25m, partridge and ducks landing over decoys. Downside is both the Win/Fed loads + BPI TPS wads are all HDPE wads. If Hull or another were to load them, there could finally be some biowad type offering for 410 steel.
Dad got me a folding 410 when I was 14 . Gave up shooting when he passed away. Fond memories . Rip dad 😢

Sounds like a good reason to take it up again...
Glad to see several channels covering this great event !!
Love that Charlie had such a cool grandmother and still has her 410. Grandmother Watkins had a Mauser Model 1914 in her nightstand.
Love my 410!
The only thing not to like about 410 is the price of cartridges.
About £12/25 for Winchester AA target loads over the pond in the US right now. But really, reloading is where it's at for .410.

What's the Best cartridges to use for chuckar and duck hunting with a .410?
What do you do with all the empty 410? do you reload?
Thanks for this. No - but we probably should. / Charlie
It’s a crying shame that the lead ban will effectively kill .410 as a cartridge…
