All was going well until I took photos indoors, when I couldn’t get anything other than a black screen, without cranking up the ISO and ruining my photos. Explaining the light meter on the camera really has made it all click for my lonely, single brain cell. Thank you so much.

    I'm so glad I came across your tutorials. So so helpful! Thank you so much. I'm halfway through a beginners course and despite good teachers, I'm struggling to take it all in with my Fibromyalgia brain fog! :( This has really helped connect the dots and now also understand how to use the light meter. You explain clearly and demonstrate where to find the settings on my Canon and love the cheat sheets. Hopefully when I attend my practical lesson tomorrow night I will have a better understanding, be quicker at adjusting settings and be able to take it all in :)

    Excellent ... I love the cup of tea analogy, just have to decide which of the camera functions refers to which of the tea elements. Thanks for including the light meter explanation too. Question; do you base your decision on which to use to adjust the light meter on whether you have a moving or stationary object? Also, what's your view on manual setting with Auto ISO? ... Really enjoying your videos. Thanks, Mike

    • @photogenius
      @photogenius  Год назад +1

      Often decision for setting is based on movement (both subject and camera if not using a tripod) and depth of field. Using Auto ISO is fine if it suits the situation. Thanks for watching.
