    • @thenerdnetwork
      @thenerdnetwork 3 года назад +38

      Why do you say that? These pilots are trained to handle cross winds and gusty winds. Notice how none of these planes crashed? Or how any others crash in any other videos? Its not even the takeoff that is dangerous, landing in cross winds and gusty winds is far more dangerous. Going up the pilots have far more control over the plane than when the tires hit the ground on landing. This is traumatizing for the passengers, not any skilled commercial pilot.

    • @trieepychizza
      @trieepychizza 3 года назад +18

      @@thenerdnetwork well yes the pilot can handle such weather but you need to note that not all airport can land with such high winds, bc theres a thousand factors this could happen, such as landing weight, how much fuel on board, and even wet runway, so even though pilot can handle such things, but the planes cant, all airplane has their own limits

    • @thenerdnetwork
      @thenerdnetwork 3 года назад +3

      @@comfortableovertones No no no, I am not sure where you get this information from? Can you provide any reading supporting your statement? At many airports timing is quite critical, so if an airplane is on the tarmac waiting for departure, he better have a super good reason to turn around to go back to a closed gate. Not only does it delay that takeoff, but it delays other flights downstream for connecting flights. Pilots are trained to handle the wind on both landing and takeoffs, and if there is an issue during takeoff in which V2 speed has been reached, they can go around and ATC will instruct them to which runway to land at that has the most favorable conditions for a landing. If all engines fail on takeoff (which is highly unlikely) then the flight is doomed and would never be able to turn around anyways. I seriously want to know where you got this information from as it is wildly inaccurate.

    Several short seconds after lift off the plane suddenly came back down and hit the runway hard. It was a split second decision by the pilot. We the passengers went back into the airport and were told that some mechanical issue would have made a safe landing impossible had we continued the ascent. Shortly afterwards we went out on the tarmac to another plane. The same pilot came out as well. We gave him a big round of applause.

      It looks like an air force base. They put in the hotel/barracks, swimming pools, golf courses, hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, px, restaurants, and movie theaters first. If there is any money left over they'll put in a runway or two.
