    I have been looking at hundreds of videos a day for the last 3 months as I am researching several make money on-line ideas and I have to say, without a doubt, that your videos are not only entertaining, but feel heart-felt.. Most videos, including affiliate marketing categories which start off as educational (title only; haha) BUT result in an unpleasant experience. Just wanted to send you this note to let you know I appreciate your work and wishing you lots of success.

    I really love your videos but I was wondering if you could show us a video that also included the profit you made by listing one of these KDP books. Maybe after running through a tutorial if you published the book and reviewed how it did after a couple weeks or 3-6 months, it would be interesting to see how realistic it is for someone to make a profit starting from scratch without existing books and a new KDP account.

    If you're using photos form Canva, does this comply with their licensing? You're not allowed to use their elements as "standalone". So if you use their elements, you have to alter & add to the original element to make a new design. It doesn't seem like this qualifies as a new design, since none of the photos are altered. I find Canva guidelines somewhat confusing, so I appreciate any input you have on this!

    • @paulmarles

      Click on the information button on each photo. You'll find that most come from Pixabay and Pexels, so you comply with their license. Section 2 in the Camva licensing aggreement is pretty clear on the matter.

    Hi Paul. Great video and so helpful. Can you post a link reference (or video) on how to use Bookow to create the manuscript for a certain type of low-content book? (and how to choose the size based on the amount of content per page). Thank you so much!

    Initially I was inspired by another channels concept which lead me here. I’ve few questions #1 100% new to me- I attempted this video I’ve 40 pages done. Any chance of you viewing it? Did I infringe somehow? I’m feeling uncertain. Q#2: Cover page, is that a separate project? An element button click add to: feature? Or is page#1 cover page? Q#3: this video produced a book through gumroad? AmazonKDP? I’m stuck at the publisher part😑i will watch your video again. Thx todays Wed 05.31.2023 🤓

      The cover and interior are two separate files. The book is published via KDP.

    How does this address copyright regarding image usage in a for-profit? It seems you'll need to use only public domain or license the images.

    Great information!... On any type of low content or medium content book, would you recommend putting the author name and a copyright year on a title page at the beginning of the book?

    • @paulmarles
      @paulmarles  Год назад

      No, I don;t think that is necessary for these types of books.

    Hey Paul! Thanks so much for creating these you tube video tutorials. I have uploaded 2 notebooks and 2 weekly planners so far and am now working on my vision boards. I just had a question about creating the book cover for the vision board. Would I have to create it the same way you have shown in your journal and weekly planner videos with a PDF download through KDP or gum road? I'm just a bit stuck with this bit.

    • @paulmarles
      @paulmarles  Год назад

      Yes, you would and just add the images to the cover and save as a pdf.

    I am a new subscriber and I really enjoy your very informative videos. I also have purchased a couple of items from you, thank you. However, your free items I cannot retrieve. No cart popup and nothing in the library. I don't know if you have knowledge of this issue or if you know a work around but I thought you should know of the problem. Thank you again for all you do

    Hi! I'm not sure if I'm being stupid but I really need this clarifying. You said we putting our images on the right hand side, but as you created the design you put your images on the first page. But, when the book is created, the first page you will open ( on the left hand side ) will be the designs and then the blank page?

    Thanks for the video! However you should not advise using Canva to source images - selling their images without substantial modification is a violation of their license and can get people in a world of trouble for it...

    I normally do leave bad commons, but I wish channel's like your would stop making videos like this.... First, it makes no sense because everyone in the comment section are going to try to go into those niches without no success.... Why, because that particular nich will be over saturated.... It's annoying.... Besides making videos like this, your channel is actually good .

    Width 8.625? For trim also? Trim maximum within Canva is 8.5”

      That is the trim size - the width of the page would be 8.625"

    Your videos are so helpful thankyou. Whey you say a book is 40 pages does that include the blank back page. In other words is it 80 pages total with 40 pages of images or 40 pages total with 80 pages of images?

    • @paulmarles
      @paulmarles  Год назад +1

      Yes, a 40 page book would be 20 pages of images and 20 blank pages.
