Sadly, my girlfriend has a 2005 Holden Adventra (VZ engine), which is a variation of a commodore with beefed-up suspension, and some **slight** differences in the engine bay & rear wiper. One main difference is the alternator is on the passenger side, so it needs a 3/8 on the passenger side tensioner serpentine belt. It is also rotated 180 degrees with two bolts at the top, and one underneath. Otherwise it's the same technique with having to remove the studs. It's almost impossible to find any online advice for it too, as it is so rare (only 1644 sold).

If there is a next time I’ll be looking for a smaller 7mil socket with ratchet wrench like you used. Sadly your alternator was out of stock but I got a used on on Facebook that is working well. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I like how u cut away when removing and installing the bottom stud.... U have to remove the bottom 2 studs first so the alternator hangs by the top stud then slide it out or the back bottom stud hits the chassis rail

Now msg "Charging System needs Service" appeared and battery charge diagnostic shows dropped from 80% to 18% during 45 minute drive home. Is there a fuse to check or anything else to consider before I replace alternator? thanks
Got a new battery in Calais VE 3.6lt 9 months ago. Two months ago started getting battery indicator light for 30 seconds each 30 minutes though battery diagnostics showed battery >90%. Just got "Charging System needs Service" and battery charge dropped from 80% to 18% in 45 minutes driving home. Should I check a fuse or anything else before replacing alternator? thanks.
@@thepartsfactory4239 Thank you for your response. I have a 2009 Caprice and the generator is 140 amps, but I suffer from poor electricity. The lighting is not constant. I searched on the websites and found that the suitable generator is 170 amps. I don’t know what to do in reality.

to make things easier , replace the studs with bolts the same length as the stud with the nut wound all the way on , for easier removal next time
