Yoooo Brandon. I have loved your videos for a long time (p.s. you mentioned your splits video would be on its way in your gymnastics video(which was awesome) what happened to that? I'm sure good or bad it would have been great to see. However, I have mentioned you to my wife multiple times because you NEED to work with her. She focuses on gut health and coaching people to make sustainable change. Asking questions like "Can you live a complete gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free lifestyle permanently AND love it. The answer is yes. We do. I invite you to reach out. Regardless, you live near Nectarine Grove in Leucadia. Go check out their options. I know their food is super clean. Only the sugars may need questioning, but I think they do monk-fruit sweetener in most of their pastries. Keep it going man.
I’m a emergency vet tech and I know how super stressful the whole process is to hospitalize and be away from your fur baby. I’m super sorry for the loss of your little pup. However I have no doubt you tried to give him the best care. Keep up the good work my guy. You inspire.
@@renevanleeuwen1813 They get shots, but aren't fully protected until they have a few doses - which means they might need to be a couple months old until they're safe from Parvo.
I did no-sugar and no high glycemic foods for 8 months last year. I was getting tired easily in the beginning (3-4 weeks). After some time, I got better and better and was dominating high intensity workouts. I lost some weight but got shredded af (5,7% body fat) and had my best strength/body weight ratio ever. Great video, thanks for sharing your experience!
Well done. But I just wanna tell you that 5,7% body fat is almost deadly. No human can go below 8% bodyfat while holding their muscle without steroids since your testosterone is synthesized from lipids (fats) in your body. Going below 8% would hinder your testosterone production and thus cause muscle loss. A real 5,7% body fat percentage would be a huge health concern. You were pobably around 12% if you did extremely well realistically speaking since stage ready bodybuilders are the only humans walking around at 7-8% and basically nobody is at 5% unless you are currently dying from starvation.
I lost my darling puppy Korra last autumn to parvo. I'm a man and still cry about her every now and then. Incredible how strong of a bond you can create with a dog in just a couple of weeks. She died in a morning after waiting all night for me to visit. Just one glance of me is what she needed to pass away peacefully after 3 days of pain. Yes. I'm crying rn.
You lost a puppy AND challenged through covid AND STILL you literally smashed your goal. THATS SO INSPIRING !! I’ve been trying to go Gluten and dairy free but always struggled with excuses however after watching this video, I’m really motivated now to stay determined and consistent. This is a massive achievement so well done and also thank you so much for inspiring us !!!
Try Paleo too, it has helped me so much. I used to have migraines several times a month, but now they are gone. I have more energy and I’ve lost 30 lbs. I feel great! It’s a commitment for sure, but so worth it.
Who's that? Okay my bad no trolling guys my bad I didn't know who that was it was a puppy sorry Brandon hope you feel better Even tho ik you won't respond
What a traumatic experience you had to go through with ACNE, PRINCE and COVID. I'm so glad you've managed to pull through despite what happened to you. You truly inspired us all! Keep up the good work and keep doing great videos to motivate everyone who have mental illness or self doubts about themselves. Peace and much love. ✌
I am so sorry to hear about your puppy loss. When you mentioned parvo I was screaming out loud... Because the same thing happened to my 6-month-old puppy that passed away years ago. So I know how painful it is. Keep going strong and this video has been helpful!
Great content. I'm in the process of giving up sugar, caffeine and alcohol for 90-days in order to reset my system. At 58 yrs old it will be a challenge, but I quit smoking 30 yrs ago, so this should be a no-brainer. Thanks for the tips and tricks. I'm really sorry about Mr. Prince. It's never easy to lose them.
Good for you! It's totally worth it. I started that with sugar (staying under 20g added sugar per day, often much less, after a lifetime of MASSIVE sugar addiction) mid-March this year, and WOW what a difference so far! I think 90 days is a good length of time, it's long enough to really start to see and feel changes, and also settle into the habit of it all. :) Just make sure that you set yourself up for success, doing things like finding recipes that are sugar-free but also delicious etc, and maybe going for walks in the morning, instead of relying on caffeine for energy. :)
Wow. I literally started to cry when I heard about the puppy. I’m recovering right now and have been discharged from the hospital from catching a unknown virus. I came home and knew it was time to change my eating habits. Thanks for the info. This was really inspiring. Glad to see you recovered 🙌🏽
@@bblunder I’ve heard that as well, but I don’t want to risk it so I cut out all dairy. I figure if my skin reacts that way then obviously my body does not like it .
Great video as always. SO sorry to hear about Prince. I struggle with losing family members/pets, so I know how hard it must have felt. I almost lost my dog to giardia, so I understand your pain, my friend. I wish you the very best.
It’s rough. I was more prepared to lose my grandfather than I was my cat. Of course I grieved for my grandfather but it didn’t last as long as my grief for George the kitty cat.
Listen I’ve lost 60+ lbs pre COVID… put it all on during the lock downs… lost my dog on March 7th and grandma on March 8th. Now w grief slowly dissipating and my aim to take care of my self has gotten stronger… so what I know is consistency is key. Thanks for this video and I’m so sorry for your pup. Please hug your mom a little extra hard for me.
I hope you can get healthier again to best enjoy the blessings you have. It’s really hard to loose a loved one, but I hope the time you’ve spent with them brings you solace.
I'm almost to a year of cutting out sugar. The first month was tough, but then it was super easy after the habit formed. Like he said, consistency is the way to go!
Yes yes yes and yes. I cleared my cystic acne for good in 1985. For years after as an nurse practitioner I had to endure countless hours of derm specialists at conferences teach that diet doesn’t really impact acne, until a few recent studies in milk only. Nuts!! Keep spreading the word!!
That Prince part of this journey was really harder to deal with when you're already dealing with such a thing called bloody acne! Loved how you held yourself through all of this, I can relate, because I have been suffering from this acne thing since more than a decade and with the diet restrictions I too had some hope as in the beginning it seemed to work well, but things have gone worse now. Hopefully this pain goes away soon to never return.
@@ikoer2607 she said it may be a solution. My acne is not really bad, but I get sometimes breakouts on chin and cheeks, it’s been like that for 6 years and I’m 19. Since its not about diet I may try roactutaine but the dermatologist said that at first i my react to the medicine with more breakout or extremely dry skin, also the dose should be moderated carefully
I'm now 2 years without eating any kind of dairy products, and the skin changed in a huge way: Althought i'm behind my acne years (had a lot when I was in high school) I still suffered from oily skin, blackheads and from time to time a mild acne here and there. Few months after I stopped eating dairy: -Blackheads - Gone -Enlarged pores - Gone -Oily skin - reduced by 50%! And also my belly became flat like it used to be years ago.
Try this thought - "I'm allergic to sugar. I break-out whenever I eat sugar." Keep saying that everytime your in front of sweets and pastries. Time will come, your mind will accept it as truth.
As a holistic Esthetician for the last 15 yrs. I definitely would agree that your diet is directly correlated with your skin. Your skin is the biggest organ of the body, it's a filter and gets vitamins, oxygen and circulation last. I've been dairy free for about 10 yrs now and it not only cleared up my skin eczema and breakouts, I lost 15 lbs (kept it off), it stopped my IBS and bloating. Taking care of your body and skin is super important! The doctors don't get paid by keeping you healthy, they need you to be on skin medications and antibiotics to keep being paid. See an Esthetician and change your lifestyle! It works!! 🙌
Happy for you, but most doctors want people to be healthy. If you're going to hate on the American medical system, take a look at how insurance companies keep people sick and create hurdles for clinicians to fight against when trying to help people.
I really needed this motivation to keep me going through my extremely limited elimination diet, I’ve been suffering from head aches everyday for along time now, and I’m hoping that if I push through my symptoms with go away. Never give up troops, it will pay off
Hey man just wanted to say that I’ve been watching your videos for quite some time and you’ve been inspiring me to continue to work out and push myself even harder. Anyways mainly just wanted to say that I know how your feeling right now with the passing of your puppy prince, my family just recently also lost our puppy to sickness as well. Bo was the sweetest dog, just like prince. I know it sucks for now, but continue to push through and not ignore the pain and hurt. We have to be thankful for the time we did have with Prince and Bo and not hateful, we can’t let that hate and anger control us. I know it’s hard but things will get better over time. I know we’ll see them again one day, for God is good and loving. Anyways keep up the great work and content! Praying for you and your family!
Dude you literally got the full package of conditions to make you say „f*ck it all I just want to be comfortable“ (acne, puppy loss, covid) but you stood through it all and even got out of it stronger than before. Very inspiring ! :)
I found out a year and a half ago that I'm lactose intolerante (I'm 26 now). I decided to cut out dairy which was a big part of my diet. At first I thought it was a curse that I was lactose intolerant, but it pushed me to cut out dairy. I also cut out sweets and simple carbs (like white bread and pasta, etc). I already didn't drink sodas and sweet beverages so that was ok (I stopped drinking those when I was 12). I feel a lot better and healthier, more energy and less skin problems as well. It was a blessing in disguise I guess. My whole family decided to eat more raw and cooked food (instead of takeout). They all started to lose weight and gain muscle (everyone's going to the gym now). It's honestly life changing but can definitely be hard specially in social environments, but a worth it change.
Yo Brandon first of all I'm so sorry for the loss of you little pup:(( 2nd: the diet is definitely hard but with the right cooking skills this diet can be really really nice. There are a lot of options to cook crazy tasty meals. And most important: thank you for the message in the last couple of seconds!!
I'm on a journey, no sugar and dairy. It's been two days and I'm going through the headache and intense craving phase. I was a vegetarian (going vegan because dairy) so my options are already a bit tight. I'm not doing this for weight or acne, im doing this to get rid of lethargy and manage my hormones. Here's hoping I make it through this. 🤞
This is awesome Brandon! Massive respect for staying with the challenge. Roughly a yr ago I cut out gluten, dairy, and foods with added sugar bc of an eczema issue I’ve had for yrs. although I still have some struggles with inflammation bc of more complicated health problems, I’ve seen INSANE results just from, cleaning up my diet. Keep it up! 💪🏻🔥
@@wilted_rose510 I have, it seems like a great method to combat inflammation. However, I am a teen and tend to be on the leaner side, so I'm not sure I want to cut my calories. My main goal rn is building muscle and learning new strength skills
In case you didn’t know, HP sauce has a bunch of sugar in it, as do most condiments! Also if anyone is thinking of doing this, there are so many nutritious and delicious foods that he did not show. For example, corn, quinoa, LENTILS and beans, lots and lots of veggies. Soups, stews, dips etc. Learning how to prepare nutritious foods is half of the battle for tackling cravings. As far as I saw he was mostly eating meat, eggs, gluten free bread and lettuce. There is no way that’s enough fiber, macros etc. to get you through a day especially if you are working out a lot.
Brandon thank you so much for your positivity. I’m in my early 50’s and have suffered with Bacne for decades. My gut and health problems have just deteriorated over the years, and the doctors can’t seem to find out what’s wrong. One of my main symptoms which appeared on your vid is chronic insomnia. Like yourself I’ve always known it’s gut related, but just about everything these days is upsetting my stomach. So I just get fed up of being chronically fatigued, and ‘cheer myself up’ 😊 once in a while with a chocolate bar or cake, but that never helps in the long run. Thankfully I have refused to take any medications especially sleeping pills which the doctors have wanted to give me. I’ve noticed though that I ALWAYS feel better (especially mentally) when I cut out carbs, and eat an almost Keto(ish) diet, which can be a bit boring especially since I’m not good with dairy. 😖 But I wanna thank you for inspiring me to get on the case again. I’m gonna see if we have anything like Ombré here in the UK. So thanks again, and so sorry to hear about little Prince. 😢 That was really sad.
I had terrible acne as a teenager, I wonder if I would’ve quit sugar and gluten I could’ve had clear skin without being on acutane. Good to keep in mind for my children. Currently on a no sugar, low carb diet.
Can totally relate. I already had horrible acne when 13 years old, then my dermatologist recommended me roaccutan, what followed were years of depression and I stopped growing.
So sorry for your loss. Prince was loved right until the last moment. I hope you will get another dog if you feel up to it, they deserve the love you have to give. Don't let that love go to waste. Congrats on achieving your goal. Science is just starting to touch on the gut microbiome it's really fascinating. Thanks for sharing
Thank you guys so much! It's been hard because my environment is not very helpful (surrounded by kids, not enough time to cook whole meals), but I've managed to gradually cut it down and... At least I've started to lose weight, lol Hopefully I'll have more results in a couple weeks~
I can relate to the prince situation a lot right now. My family got a baby puppy named Olivia 12 years ago when I was four. Yesterday she died, and it's been hard for all of us because she was like a family member, and the only pet we've had.
I love that you're a role model for other young people to be healthy. I do want to mention that if you haven't been tested for Celiac disease, you might want to consider it. It's a simple blood test. Having an eczema-like rash from eating gluten can be a sign. Take care!
Interesting. I have been eating GF/DF due to breastfeeding. I recently began reintroducing foods and my son had a flare up of a rash on his face. I also noticed a resurgence of depression in myself (I had postpartum depression with my first 2 kids). While not the end of the world, it's so annoying because bread is delicious lol but I would rather feel good and my son be healthy.
I’ve been low sugar, low gluten, and low dairy for years. It’s impossible to avoid it completely, but by skipping lunch everyday, no bread for breakfast (only two hard boiled eggs and kefir), no snacking, and a hardy dinner, I have not only lost 35 lbs but I have cleared up my skin. Kale smoothie with steak dinner fills me up. Iced coffee in the mornings and afternoons with only 1 pump of vanilla. Extremely minimal sugar and gluten diet. Almost paleo kinda but no exactly
I am SO SO sorry about the loss of your puppy … that must’ve been one of the toughest things to deal with … may your next dog bring you tremendous joy and blessings! 🙏
Thank you Brandon! I tried quitting sugar for 30 days, and this video inspired me to make a video of my own with my experience! Appreciate the content and what you do man!
I needed this video...Ive been struggling with a no carb, no sugar diet. The cravings are horrible and seeing someone with the will power to keep on trying motivates me so much. Sorry for the puppy, so sad. He was so cute 😪😭
I got diagnosed with crohn's disease half a year ago and it ruined all my motivation for gaining muscle, I just got out of the army too. But now I am feeling better and I've got my diet in check so I am looking forward to working out. I was surprised to see you talking about gut health in this video.
Brandon i don’t think you are aware of this, but white bread is essentially just a thick slab of sugar too. The grain is modern and very refined, and is immediately digested by your body. I think you might’ve seen more benefits if you had limited those.
@@megmcguireme gluten worsens autoimmunity and irritates the gut, but sugar is just as bad as it is highly inflammatory. I dislike when people think that they can eat as much bread and cakes as they want just because it is GF.
I also stopped gluten, sugar and dairy for 7 years because of acne. It completely disappeared. Then I started eating them again, my acne came back two years ago… I finally cut those again 3 months ago and my skin is clear again… it’s not so easy since I’m 37, but the only way for me not to have horrible acne is this diet. It’s sad that dermatologists don’t say it clearly.
@Lysandredemontespan, I’m 38 and when I was in junior high/high school I had severe acne and man would this gluten free/dairy free/ sugar free way of eating have helped me immensely back then. Saw so many dermatologists for years and they just put me on pills and creams. Doin the eating this way for other reasons now but just brings me back to when me and my mom were desperately trying to clear up my skin and how badly it hurt my self esteem in my teens
Food, hormones and stress is the main cause of acne. I had severe acne when we first had to wear face masks and I work 12 hour shifts so that didn’t help at all. Managed to get rid of it. Acne made me depressed, it gives you anxiety and insecurity and your video is inspiring to others! Well done for doing that in 60 days, if you want something that badly you will go through whatever ☺️
I tried this too! And it really works, results can be seen even just after a week. ❤️ Happy you were able to film it! What we eat is really important because even if we frequent the Derma, unfortunately, what they usually advise is to undergo their treatments, but the root cause of the problem (which is what we put in our body, in this case, isn't addressed.)
I was told to eliminate dairy and gluten a month ago and I started feeling so much better. I just wanted to be able to est and walk again and 10 days after starting the new diet I was even able to go swim and play the drums again. As a side effect my acne is almost gone, I regained my focus and feel 0 brain fog.
Just use monk fruit sugar and eat dairy alternatives monk fruit sugar is a sweeter it has no negative effects on you and vegan cheese is very tasty it tastes the same but it's harder to melt
Damn.. dropped a tear when I heard about Prince, may he rest in peace and it is on you and your family to see if you will be made happy by a new prince :) ❤️
At 25, I was diagnosed with sclap and acne psoriatic arthritis. My Doc said he is not going to prescribe any medicine as my condition does not require medication at the moment. So, I have to strictly follow lifestyle changes. It is NOT so easy to make the shift, but I am getting there, cutting down on sugar, gluten, caffeine, and diary makes a huge difference. For all those people who are struggling with such diseases, keep yourself positive and be consistent with your process. I am doing my best to becoming better version of myself. Hope I stay this way forever and lead a happy life! :) thanks for this video!
my friends dog passed away about last week, he was like a family member for everyone that knew him well enough. he was a good doggo. rest in peace bud and prince
At the age of around 30, I read an article about the correlation between dairy and acne. I stopped eating dairy, or so I thought. My skin improved, but I still broke out occasionally after eating at restaurants even if I asked for no cheese on my food. I realized that some foods are cooked in butter or that some foods could have cross-contamination. I try to cook all my meals at home and try to avoid foods that are handled in facilities that handle dairy products. Now, my skin is much better.
This is one of the best videos I’ve ever watched on the matter!! Very relatable. Thank you! Oh my goodness just got to the puppy part:( I’m so so sorry for your loss.
I am allergic to dairy, gluten, tree nuts and more so i am so glad to see you try this challenge. At first, i could not understand why it was such a difficult diet for you, but then i realized i could eat sugar and you couldnt. My eating habit has been with me forever unlike you. This content makes me so happy to see.
First off, good job on sticking to that diet. I know it must of been so hard, but it is so cool to see how it improved your health. Second, I'm sorry for the loss of your puppers. It's really impressive that you were able to stick it through even when life had bumps in the road. I think that's why so many people do struggle maintaining a healthy lifestyle...because life can throw some dang curve balls man.
If you were going to get covid, it's good that you got it after you'd been dairy, sugar, and gluten free for a while. That definitely helped your immune system fight it off a virus more effectively! Thanks for sharing your results with the YT world. Your health has everything to do with what's on your fork!
Great to see people finding the right information. High Insulin and Low SHBG are they key findings in people with Acne. Gluten is less of an issue, its more about controlling the carb and sugar intake, i.e yes Keo diet. Some , dairy free and Gluten free meals still have high Glycemic Index, this is to be avoided, spiking Insulin is a huge part of the issue. Along with Dairy, milk due to the known bovine hormones that affect androgen and hormone balance. For anyone with Acne looking for more info Dr Eric Berg, the fastest way to rid Acne, best advice and summary on the subject to date. As a person who dealt with Acne my entire life I can highly recommend.
I really hope you'll hit a million soon. I enjoy every video you produce from beginning to end. Also really sorry for your loss. I have a dog and couldn't imagine him passing.
Lots of puppy mills mistreat their dogs and puppies get sent to stores with the contagious diseases and infect other dogs; so sorry for your loss, hopefully you can rescue a dog in a shelter that needs a home! 💗🙏🏼
Thank you! I was waiting for someone to say that. First thing I thought of was that the dog was already sick when it came from the breeder. Many breeders are unethical and make money on the backs of,poor helpless dogs. Pregnancy is very hard on a dog.
Fuck it. Its 2 days away from 2024. My goal next year is to have no acne. Been dealing with it since I was 11. Now almost 16, I consume a lot of dairy & sugars. I think its time to cut it out. I tired of acne. Loosing these foods are worth it. My 2024 new years plan is to test out a dairy & sugar free diet.
To make your food less bland while keep it healthy try marinating or using spices like, red chilies flakes, garam masala, soy sauce, paprika and pepper. Just a tip from someone who swims everyday and enjoys food. Good Luck Brandon!
I was also going to say that food doesn't have to be bland. As Thomas says, you can use spices. You can also use olive oil, vinegar, onions, garlic, roasted vegetables, good quality sea salt or himalayan salt, herbs, nuts and nut butters, seeds, etc.
All of my skin issues cleared up when I stopped ingesting dairy (Lactose), gluten and sugar. I ate a low to no carb diet, eating animal protein and low glycemic vegetables. I started this diet because my doctor told me I had IBS. I had never heard of it and I was very fit. (I have two personal training certifications and work out regularly: biking, running and weight training.) The doc wanted to prescribe medication but I told him I didn't want to take meds and asked what I could do instead. He said that I was probably allergic to something I was eating and gave me two lists of foods. He said don't eat everything on one list for a couple of weeks and see if anything changes then do the same with the second list. The first two items on list I chose first were wheat and dairy. Within two weeks my IBS symptoms were almost non existent. I filled the Rx just in case because I didn't want to feel the pain of the spasms. There were 30 pills in the Rx and at the end of one year, I had taken less than five but by then I was spasm free and the pills had turned to powder after carrying the around for so long. The unexpected plus to eliminating gluten from my diet is that I no longer have Seborrheic Dermatitis or joint pain. It has been 26 years now and I am 61 years old. What is troublesome is that the doctor was so quick to write a prescription when he could have led with the possible food allergy and gave me the lists to try. I studied up on gut health and flora. This ought to be taught in high school health class. The diet I chose was Dr. Atkins diet. I read the book from cover to cover to be safe. There are many "keto" diets now that can be followed. I kept it super simple. Animal protein, green veggies, lots of salad with deli meats and grilled meats and lots of eggs. It is easier to say what I stopped eating: potatoes, rice, winter squash, corn, sugar, wheat and all fruits high on the glycemic index. I basically cut out starch or complex carbs. I started reading food labels on all packaged food. Sugar (-ose is the suffix for sugar) is in so many products. It's best to cut out processed food altogether. Research as much as you can about diet, cutting carbs and gut health. It is also necessary to drink a lot of water for your kidneys on a low carb diet. WARNING: If you don't need to lose weight, be especially careful with a low carb diet and, it is best if you consult a doctor or dietician before you start any diet.
Hi Brandon. Happy this goal worked out for you. Most ppl do experience high inflammation with foods. Which do cause skin issues, GI disorders or autoimmune diseases. We all are unique so finding the right combination to heal is the best goal anyone can strive far. Sorry for the loss of Prince.
Hurray! this is awesome.. I have been struggeling with acne too.. cut out dairy, gluten and sugar.. cleared good and started to allow gluten back and a bit of sugar and still keeping a clean skin. Dairy was the main issue here. I eat pretty healthy overall and gets a tiny snack sometimes and I've healed up good!
I had dermatologists all over me and doctors trying to figure out my acne. I also cleared it with antibiotics, I had a lot of the same issues. I have since been diagnosed with Celiac Disease, that "exima" was a rash. Idk, something to look out for. Celiac does effect your skin way more than you'd think. It can also make you more sensitive to dairy. Everyone reacts differently, just something to keep in mind.
2 of my teens had horrible acne. Some old lady at the bus stop told my daughter, "look at your face! Stop drinking milk!" She quit dairy and saw results in 2 days. Worked for my younger son, too. Some of us just can't do dairy, esp. drinking milk. Try almond milk instead. Staying low on sugar is ALWAYS a good thing!
You can’t see results in two days. Pimples don’t magically disappear in 48 hours, it can take up to a month for your skin to shed its cycle. Quit spreading bullshit
Sorry about your loss.... I like the moral of this video, consistency, which is not easy. Love how you shared the realness of your cravings and how you overcame them with various distractions and problemsolved. Not easy, and takes a strong mentality. Great inspirational content.
Congrats for this video. I wish people knew about the side effects that dairy and gluten causes to the body. They are the major inflammatory foods for our system. I always try to warn people, but somehow they seem to ignore. Since I completely cut out gluten and dairy from my diet, everything in my body changed. Me energy, my acne, my bloating. It takes a strong brain and a lot of discipline to do such thing and to never fail, even on holidays, but you get used to it if you have that final goal that you want to reach. I really appreciate this video, Brandon, cause what you did was amazing and you made it happen! Wish you the best and hope you continue to cut that foods out, they are only making the body sick, being intolerant or not intolerant.
Quitting dairy completely eradicated my eczema and acne. And i had both pretty bad. I tried all kinds of creams, soups, you name it. Cutting out dairy instantly gave me better results than anything! It's hard, but I recommend it if you're struggling. Milk is easy to substitute. Cheese is the only big loss. But after a while you realise it's worth it!
@@TheGreenPoncle I don't think so because it's not the lactose it's the dairy itself. Give it a try but I think you have to cut out as much dairy as possible. A little butter is ok
I'm gluten n dairy intolerant. Shopping can be a nightmare. I've had to fined other ways of doing meals. I'm glad it's clearing your skin up though. It's making you look healthier. 😀
As a bioinformaticist who works on the gut microbiome - Ombre's results are BS. There is a dysbiosis index but it's not as easy to define your health besides that, and we definitely can't tell you what to eat based on your gut mircobacteria. Again, I research this.
I went strict keto for 30 days, no bread only green leaves, natural oil, butter, gee, natural proteins (meat, chicken, fish, eggs) nuts (pecan, almond, macadamia. I lost 30 yrs. Great body a lot younger, energy, memory, sex drive. I’m 53 going on 20. In short (I’m a living MIRACLE)
Thank you so much for this video, I’m 32 now and still suffer severe cystic acne, it almost killed me also as the doctors put me on a tablet which was suppose to help and ended up causing blood clots in my lungs and legs! Not once has anyone ever said it could be my diet causing it but like you I had a crappy diet and now Iv changed that I have noticed a massive difference! It’s rubbish it’s taken me so long and a lot of life risking treatment to realise but without you I may of never of done. Thanks agian
I changed my diet for my skin too and it cleared up so well but I haven’t been following it recently and I’m back to square zero. I find it really hard to follow dairy free gluten-free plus I can’t do anything spicy (that’s my main trigger). That sums up the food my family eats. A month into the diet and I just get big food cravings and never feel full. Luckily my weight has stayed around the same. I can’t really afford to loose any weight. I don’t even enjoy thinking about food anymore and it’s so expensive which is another reason I just eat what my dad buys. Thanks for this video I will try again.
I loved this video because of how real and genuine your experience was..it was great to see you including daily struggles not directly related too food. You kept the audience engaged and interested. This video was also very helpful and informative!!
About twenty years ago I went on a basic no-grain diet. My intestines took about a week to notice but wow, what an improvement! MUCH happier stomach! Then I had a dinner with friends that included rice. Whooooo... Ok, no more rice. Later I realized that corn was also a big problem for me in terms of stomach upset, and that soy was absolutely not something for me to eat because after three days on soy (for more protein) I was literally, and very detail oriented on suicide. SO. No more soy. Then beans had to go... For twenty years I have limited grains, soy, rice, corn and beans and I'm doing really well in general. I no longer crave nearly as much sugar (rice tastes like candy now!) and I adore what I eat: quinoa and wild rice, meats, all the veggies, potatoes (cooked and cooled they do not provoke nearly the blood sugar rise they are associated with) and the occasional dessert when it's just too good to pass up. Now I can eat a little of the foods I had to cut out without repercussion. Along the way I've also treated a candida overgrowth (using herbs, primarily, and gut bug supplements) and a few other things. Never going back to the old way of eating! Congratulations on your journey. I suggest more protein and good fats to help your muscles learn to bulk up on that stuff instead of carbs and sugars.
Hey Brandon! I started my fitness journey last year and i had a pretty epic 20 pound transformation. I enjoy watching your videos and they motivate me.
If you dont have celiac disease or a gluten allergy, eating out on gluten free diet is easy. If you have one of those conditions, cross contamination is a frequent occurence and for some of us can make us sick for several DAYS. It isnt just belly aches and pains for me, gluten causes a severe autoimmune response and makes me weak and out of breath and puking unable to eat or have an appetite. I havent ate out in almost a year straight and refuse to. The consequences arent worth it. I eat at home exclusively.
Same here. I'm 17 years old and was diagnosed with 2 or so. A month ago, I ate a pizza full of gluten (I got the wrong one), and the consequences were chaotic. I have also investigated a lot about our condition, and just a little of gluten makes our body destroy itself... And I hate when these people eat gluten-free food just because, and they go to restaurants and do not care about contamination. When we go there, the chefs think celiac people can eat even with contamination, because people that eat a gluten-free diet just because do not care about us, the ones who need it. I am lucky that where I live U have some places that are 100% gluten-free, but you are right, it is not worth it eating out anymore
@carmenafso Yep. The specific phrase I use about eating out is, "Why would I trust someone who probably isn't even making a living wage to give a shit about my health." Lol
I have recently tried for the first time bouldering... and I didn't expected it to be so awesome!🔥 I think it suits you perfectly, as you have done other challenges involving gymnastics or calisthenics. Maybe an idea for a "x-days trying [...]" video! It just puts your strength, coordination and impulse to the test! 💪
Bro massive respect. I also had bad acne (way worse than yours, I took accutane). Mine was caused by hormones and too much sun exposure I think. But fortunately it wasn’t linked to food I ate. You’re super strong to eat clean to keep a clear face ! Glad you are getting better !
Accutane I was on that for about a year I heard it caused suicides in young people. It never took the acne away but improved it and I have been suffering with skin issues since I was 18 I'm now 41 maybe mine is, gut issues, it's is like your second brain

🔥🔥That's solid.
Thank you! Low glycemic is the way to go 🔥 congrats on your success with the diet!
that's it. I'm quitting sugar. at all costs

Great content. I'm in the process of giving up sugar, caffeine and alcohol for 90-days in order to reset my system. :)

I did the exact same diet for around 5 years, it completely cured my eczema! Gut health connects to so many other aspects of our health ✅❤️

😖 But I wanna thank you for inspiring me to get on the case again. hey updates

If he was eating gluten free that white bread is not made of wheat. I'm fairly certain that rye is not gluten free.

I’m on day 12 no sugar/dairy. It’s so hard when you have kids eating it right in front of you but I’m staying strong 😂
Just use monk fruit sugar and eat dairy alternatives monk fruit sugar is a sweeter it has no negative effects on you and vegan cheese is very tasty it tastes the same but it's harder to melt

At the age of around 30, I read an article about the correlation between dairy and acne. I stopped eating dairy, or so I thought. My skin improved, but I still broke out occasionally after eating at restaurants even if I asked for no cheese on my food. I think that's why so many people do struggle maintaining a healthy lifestyle...because life can throw some dang curve balls man.
What you eat really makes a difference, you just have to be patient
Encouraging content here 👍🏾🙏🏾🔥
If you were going to get covid, it's good that you got it after you'd been dairy, sugar, and gluten free for a while. That definitely helped your immune system fight it off a virus more effectively! Thanks for sharing your results with the YT world. Your health has everything to do with what's on your fork!
Right. You are what you eat x
Same!
To make your food less bland while keep it healthy try marinating or using spices like, red chilies flakes, garam masala, soy sauce, paprika and pepper. Just a tip from someone who swims everyday and enjoys food. Good Luck Brandon!
good tips! although some soy sauces and masala do contain gluten sometimes
@@fefe5908 oh I didn't know about that, I guess you always have to check labels no matter what 😅
@@thomasgangi1868 haha yeah for sure but also it depends! sometimes its just in the same facility
5:23 Aww the puppy so cute. Wish i can have enough ability to take care of a puppy too
For real I can recommend everyone to eat less sugar. You'll already feel better after a few days!
Good job BRANDON! That takes a lot of discipline to stay away from gluten dairy and sugar free foods!
Hi Brandon. Happy this goal worked out for you. Most ppl do experience high inflammation with foods. Which do cause skin issues, GI disorders or autoimmune diseases. We all are unique so finding the right combination to heal is the best goal anyone can strive far. Sorry for the loss of Prince.
Man life really challenged the fuck out of you, inspiring to see you having such a mental fortitude
Hurray! this is awesome..
Everyone reacts differently, just something to keep in mind.
im so sorry about prince :,(
2 of my teens had horrible acne.
What about yogurt? What did the old lady say about yogurt?
What about lactose free diary? Can that be ok to use or is it still just as bad?
@@TheGreenPoncle I don't think so because it's not the lactose it's the dairy itself. Give it a try but I think you have to cut out as much dairy as possible. A little butter is ok
I’m so sorry about your doggo, but I’m glad you kept striving on your goal. Keep it up!
I’m soooo sorry about your puppy. Stress does affect the skin and super happy that your skin cleared up!
I'm gluten n dairy intolerant. Shopping can be a nightmare. I've had to fined other ways of doing meals. I'm glad it's clearing your skin up though. It's making you look healthier. 😀
As a coeliac I feel ur pain
As a bioinformaticist who works on the gut microbiome - Ombre's results are BS.
There is a dysbiosis index but it's not as easy to define your health besides that, and we definitely can't tell you what to eat based on your gut mircobacteria.
Again, I research this.
That’s what I thought.
Thanks for clarification
Which tablet was it? 😮
@@sweetpea6230My guess would be hormonal birth control like Yasmin or Diane35?
I changed my diet for my skin too and it cleared up so well but I haven’t been following it recently and I’m back to square zero. I find it really hard to follow dairy free gluten-free plus I can’t do anything spicy (that’s my main trigger). That sums up the food my family eats. A month into the diet and I just get big food cravings and never feel full. Luckily my weight has stayed around the same. I can’t really afford to loose any weight. I don’t even enjoy thinking about food anymore and it’s so expensive which is another reason I just eat what my dad buys. Thanks for this video I will try again.
So sorry for your puppy Prince mate! RIP PRINCE! Take care bro
God Bless You Bro!! And im sorry for your puppy!!
5:04 i thought you were gonna eat that💀
Hey Brandon!
It never took the acne away but improved it and I have been suffering with skin issues since I was 18 I'm now 41 maybe mine is, gut issues, it's is like your second brain
i took it and still have acne
