Hi my dear friends. In this video I am going to show you the FULL REVIEW and TEST of the folding electric bike FIIDO D1 that you can purchase form under 450 USD. The bike is one of the best value for money electric bike. You can ride the bike easily, it is not so heavy and you can go 25 km/h speed even without using pedals. The bike is suitable for the standard roads but also for a terrain roads as it has a terrain wheels. The 14 inches wheels are not any problem and the bike is very stable.
The main advantages of the bike are:
It is a light foldable electric bike
You can fold it in few seconds.
You can ride it with 25 km speed without only with electric engine
250W motor is more than sufficient for this bike. You can even unlock the maximum speed limit and go even faster.
It can make about 80 km distance for one charging with pedals and 45 km only with electric engine
The alternatives to this bike are: FIIDO D2 which has 16 inch wheels, however it is a little bit bigger and more heavy and the maximum speed is mostly only 20 km/h as the wheels are larger and the moment of electric motor is then much worse to power the bike.

Anyone still riding fiido D1 in 2023? Mine is still going after years of abuse. Finally the battery is so weak it only goes like 10 with full charge. Ordered new battery and change the break pads. Other than that, awesome bicycle. Sometimes i want to have bigger version but after i take the fiido into train, i quickly understand the benefits of having really small device that is still able to transport my body with 30kmh from point a to b. Feels more like bike, but is small like scooter.

Do you know of any video about how I can change those type of handlebars ? I know I can slide them out. But, the new handlebars are a whole new different shape and I cannot just slide them in.

Congratulations on your excellent videos. I have bought a Fiido D1 bike and I have been fooled. This bike can not be changed the battery as youtubers say for another from Xiami or private label. The reason is that the BMS is inside, attached to the battery. If I change the battery for another it would not work because they do not have the BMS incorporated. Is this assessment of mine wrong or accurate?

I saw loads of people who had this bike and was able to replace the battery, there is a specific seller online they buy it from. They actually had to take a picture of the battery and send it to them before purchasing

why change the battery? It's only needed when its dead or you want to buy the 7.8ah version but to buy a bigger battery afterwards makes it more expensive than the 10.4ah version.

Wrong. The BMS is irrelevant and can be disconnected from the battery unit.
You can upgrade the battery internally with high capacity cells for longer range and slightly more power.
You can also derestrict the max speed in throttle mode to 45kph/20mph from the control display, key and throttle.
It's a sequence of actions you have to do when it is switched on, then off, then on again. And it will ride unrestricted in throttle mode. Can't remember the sequence of actions as it was months ago when I done this to a friend's Fiido D1. Will see if I can find the link and post link video here.

A bike needs to be really serviceable over form. How annoying will it be if you get a flat tire?

You have two options. Purchase a solid 14" tyre but they approx £50 each. Or install puncture liner inside existing tyre which is what I had done for a friend who does alot of miles.

My friends bike can only go 15kmt when using pedals ? and it goes 30 with engine only ? Why cant it drive 30 kmt with pedals ?

I have just bought one and I can certify that in the pedal assist mode, the bike will help you only up to a speed of 15 km/h. If you try to pedal faster or harder in the pedal assist mode, it will get exponentially harder. Not only the electric motor will not help you above 15 km/h, it will fight you. Also, if you try to use the bycicle without the aid of the electric motor, you will find that it is possible, but very hard. Any cheap (130 USD) classical bike will be better, if you are relying on pedal power only. So driving it 30 km only on pedals is a no-go. If you drive it in the throttle mode, it is fun and fast, but I have tested a full 11.6 Ah battery and the range was 30 km. When I have started the battery was warm, but outside the air temperature was 6 Celsius. A reasonable compromise between me and this bike is to drive it in throttle mode, but not full throttle and to pedal at the same time, to extend the range. My sweet spot is around 20 km/h, but you have to be constantly carrefull with the throttle.

The bike is restricted to EU law. But there is method to derestrict the speed to 40khp/20mph on throttle mode only. The battery can also be upgraded for longer range.
