    Thank you for this! I still have and use the dresser I got as a baby (I'm 63 now) and I plan to repaint it and wallpaper the drawer fronts.

    I purchased a roll of paintable wallpaper off Amazon. It was not prepasted so I used Mod Podge to adhere. Once it dried, I used sandpaper to sand off the overhang. Worked great and then I painted in the same color as the dresser base (I had sanded the drawer fronts). Love your quick videos!

    Put masking tape over drawer pull holes on the inside of drawer to prevent any liquid/spackle dripping through.

    Can you do this with a dresser that has curved drawers? Do the drawers have to be flat for this to work? Thank you!

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  Год назад

      You can absolutely do it on curved drawers! You just have to go a little slower while applying to make sure it’s smooth.

    Whats the glue thing called that u put in beginning..u called it poly?

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  3 года назад

      Yes, it’s not actually glue- it’s Polyacrylic.

    • @michelebianco8383
      @michelebianco8383 2 года назад +1

      What is the purpose of the polyacrylic?
      The pre-pasted paper shouldn't stick to the wood just with water?

    Is the wall paper wet when you put it on

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  5 месяцев назад

      No, not wet with water. But you can use water if you trust your paper’s adhesive. I like using my top coat because it activates the adhesive and creates a bit more.

    Is it possible to seal it with a varnish so it can be cleaned without risk of damage?

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  2 года назад +1

      Yes, you can absolutely seal over the top. I do on porous wallpapers, but this one in particular is wipeable so I wasn’t worried about it.

    • @elegantupgrades
      @elegantupgrades  Год назад

      @@sharonrooney2888 Thank you, Sharon! I typically use a water based poly on porous wallpaper. Never Mod Podge. But you can use almost any sealer. The water based poly is just my preference.

      Hmmm, I tried going back to see if I was out of frame (I sometimes get absorbed in painting and forget to move the camera), but I couldn’t find that in this video. Is there a part in particular you couldn’t see? Thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know.
