    I checked this personally myself. I am a 6’2” 245lb big old boy and could easily sit in the front seat of the Toyota Tacoma. The only way I could sit in the back seat of the Tacoma was to pull the front seat forward until my knees almost hit the dashboard. The same condition exists in the Canyon, with one MAJOR exception. There is about 3-4 inches more front legroom in the Canyon, plus about 1.5 inches more in the back seat. So I pulled the front seat forward 2.5 inches (about where the Tacoma starts) and voila . . . I could easily sit in both the front and back seats. 3.5-4 inches in the back seat makes a HUGE difference. Love my AT4!!!

Really think I can use a truck now for my line of work along with all the home improvements and moving stuff around I do. @@gilbertdinho1710 Well as much as I love Chevy/GMC, it still is unproven how the 2.7L will now handle this now higher power output. I have the low output 2.7L in my 2021 Silverado (310hp/348lb.ft.) and it’s been incredibly reliable, but now power output has been brought up substantially on the torque front. So if you truly are going to run this truck 7-10 years, I know Toyota’s 2.4L Turbo is unproven as well, but due to Toyota’s reputation for reliability overall, I would have to recommend the Tacoma as your long term choice even though I’m not a fan of Toyota. I agree with you... in fact I just recently took delivery of a 24 Canyon AT4 and decided it would be my new truck even knowing the gremlins lurking in the electrical system. My whole life I've always purchased imports, but went domestic this time simply because the Canyon looks and drives so nice. So far I have ZERO complaints, it's everything I could have hoped for and plenty more. My philosophy is I'll be wanting new tech in 5 years anyway so by the time I've got 60K or 70K miles on it I'll be trading it in. I enjoyed your review, just subscribed. Take care!

    My 2024 Canyon Elevation (1150 miles) has been in the shop for almost 2 weeks now. Roof dented from the car wash blower (known issue) and there are 2 oil leaks, one of which involves dropping the transmission to fix. A part needed is on backorder. There have also been other issues, such as mis-aligned doors and warning lights activating such as the adaptive cruise control and check engine. I have asked GMC to replace the truck, and they have told me to pound sand.

    • @CEALLIFORNIA
      @CEALLIFORNIA  7 месяцев назад

      I am so sorry to hear your story with the Canyon man, it sucks, no matter what car you buy today with the way the build quality has been industry wide, with any brand you risk getting a lemon. I’m sorry it had to happen to you. My Silverado was in the shop for about 2-3 weeks for a throttle body that had to be replaced at 32k miles, and the part was on back order. So that’s what took the repair so long. I was left without a rental for those 2-3 weeks because the dealership I took it to was out of rentals and GM was making sound iffy if they were going to cover a rental or not. I hope all your truck’s demons get worked out and that she gets back on the road soon. Thank you for watching!

    • @CEALLIFORNIA
      @CEALLIFORNIA  7 месяцев назад +1

      It’s my understanding that both the Elevation and AT4 have the same suspension with the 2” lift as standard. The biggest distinction between wheels I’m seeing is, although the wheel design is the same, you will see more often than not the Elevation’s having a dark/black rim, while the AT4 gets a “diamond cut/machined” finish. Most Tacomas I am seeing have about 1200 lbs of payload. Given I tow a small camper and haul camping gear, I need about 1500 lbs of payload and the Tacoma’s max payload of 1705 lbs is nonexistent in the real world of trucks on dealer lots. I have seen Canyons with 1500 to nearly 1700 lbs of real world payload. I can’t believe I would pick a GM product over a Toyota product, but the Tacoma is just too weak on payload for my needs.

    On the market to trade my vehicle in. Its been good to me but I deserve an upgrade its a 2012 Nissan XTerra that my parents got me in 2017 when my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse went down the tube and became a money pit.
    I have had 2 vehicles in my life and this will be my first new vehicle as both the others have been used and I went test driving the other day and test drove Broncos because thats really what I was eying but after realizing it wasn’t really what I want despite loving them aesthetically, I hopped into the GMC and absolutely fell in love with the GMC Canyon Elevation!
    Will be going back to bring one home!

      I loved the XTerra’s when they were out and still do to this day, it’s a great vehicle to keep for as long as you did! I myself loved the interior of the GMC Canyon as well, everything looks great on the outside and inside. I think you’re making the right choice, the Canyon should be much more reliable than the Bronco. Enjoy your new ride, I know you will! Thank you for watching!

      It’s one of the largest beds in the mid-size segment surprisingly and a lot of guys don’t mind the shorter beds, that’s why they buy crew cab, short box half tons. For me, I like to have at least a 6.5ft and preferably an 8ft, but everyone has their own preference. Thank you for watching!

      Again as mentioned in the video, it depends on how long you’re keeping the truck as to which truck you should choose. The 2.7L has been real world tested since 2019 in the Silverado, an even bigger platform than the Canyon here, and has done just fine for me overall after 48k miles in my own 2021 Silverado. Thank you for watching. -Ceall

    • @CEALLIFORNIA
      @CEALLIFORNIA  7 месяцев назад

      @@kerplunk38880 I am a little concerned with how the 2.7L will handle that now higher torque, because the version that I have of the 2.7L (310hp/348lb.ft.) has been very reliable. I don’t know why they had to mess with a good thing that was working, just to chase some higher numbers to boast about. But that is the name of the game in the truck world, chase higher and higher numbers every year it never ends. I’m sorry to hear about your truck and hope that the gremlins can get worked out, nobody wants a brand new truck with problems that’s why we buy new. I hope you’re at least able to get a rental, my dealership had no rentals left and GM was no help about getting a rental when I had to get a faulty throttle body replaced at 32k miles.

      I would say that your comment is not educated. I work in sales. The 2.7 GM has been so far problem free and very reliable. What has Toyota proven yet ? Just because it is a Chevy and 4 cylinder, does not mean it is not reliable. GM built the 2.7 to diesel standards on the internals. It is really a solid motor and hits peak torque crazy low. 1500Rpms. The only thing I wish it had was dual port injection.

    I would like to see more reviews on low level vehicle trims instead of just top tier only. The majority of Americans don't even use their trucks for towing or hauling. They buy them for the same reasons people bought the Toyota Prius when it first came out, for status. "Hey look at me, I have a Prius, I'm saving the environment". Or even the Tesla Model 3, all for status. Trucks have become the modern day minivan and mall crawler.

    • @CEALLIFORNIA
      @CEALLIFORNIA  16 дней назад

      The Elevation is now the lowest trim on the Canyon unfortunately. No longer can you get something like the SLE anymore to save money. You do get some good things standard on the Elevation, but of course you’re paying for it somewhere, it is unfortunate that a lower trim is no longer available, and this isn’t the only vehicle GM has done this with. Thank you for watching!
