@@romangd8366 .. yeah DJ is the goat but to say that DANNY(that's his name) wasnt able to go toe to toe is just pure hate and let me add INSECURITY.. dj's face actually looks like he was hit with a baseball bat (not just once from the looks of it) HONESTLY dj was getting lit in the stand up and "the other dude" as you have mentioned in your other comments to increase your masculinity was able to escape numerous times from submission attempts and kept up with the pace of chain wrestling by DJ.. which is actually more amazing because team lakay doesnt have the resources nor personnel to train with bjj experts and wrestlers.. its ALL improvisation.. danny showed a ton of potential.. he achieved sooo much with less...

Hands down to Demetrious a very dominant ground game. Danny Kingad is so competitive and kept pace with Johnsons non stop grappling and even manage to nullify all submission attempts I hope they can meet for the second time.

they do have good wrestling from sanda, which is specialized in quick and snappy take downs. they do lack the grinding style of wrestling and bjj

A non biased comment on team lakay fighters.
They are awesome at what they do best and that's
explosive unorthodox striking. Yes their grappling and take down defense have improved over the years but when faced against "chain wrestlers and methodical submission specialists (i.e. Aoki and Bibiano) they always seem to fall short.
Non the less they are great fighters, certainly one of the top in SEA and im hoping they would be able to close the gap in their submission game in the near future

You can see it in dj grip he is forcing him self on the guy. The grip strength that you get from train wrestling for a long time can not be duplicated.
@@kubatomczyk1801 Team Lakay are made out of Wushu specialist first and foremost, they have no wrestling experience, and even now there are no experts trainers, just them training among themselves and sharing knowledge among team mates from victories or defeats, that's how they improve slowly but surely, I think team Lakay will develop their own MMA system not far from the future just from trying and failing and learning without help from the experts.

Most fighters is Asian are smaller. And there's some pretty good strikers that made the jump to mma in one, By comparition European and American fighters usually are bigger and so the better fighters are heavier.
yep the smaller 100% once they move up in weight no so much. Watch Christian Lees fight, he's the champ yet imagine him verse any top 5 lightweight in ufc, he'd get walked over..

Congratulations to DJ but Kingad showed his amazing potential. I would even say kingad's striking was better. To team lakay tho when will they learn. I still support them but it has been the CONSTANT weakness that theyve been exposed to. I hope they can have a legit training camp with foreign bjj and wrestling partners. They can scrap no question but theyve been scouted by all the camps in asia already and other camps have figured them out. We win or we learn. Hmmmm it sounded great at first but its becoming like an escape expression from the scrutiny of reality. Godbless
Theyre doing their best (and we don't see it all) but pls take note abt their financial struggles as well. Hiring coaches are way beneficial for them but how abt the other matters related to it. Most have good things to point out but we're only looking on one area. Some things are not under their control, so they just improvise.
