I finally made a Damascus knife.
It's not in the video, but my first attempt wasn't successful due to temperature control failure. Raise the temperature further. With my dad's help, I succeeded this time.
This is my first Damascus knife. And unfortunately, my father said that it did not function well as a knife.

With all the material at your disposal why didn't you make this full tang instead of this whimscal stud? And the blade is awfull thick. But nice pattern and beautiful wood handle.

That knife looks very good!! Perhaps Damascus doesn't make good knife steel, but I'd still be proud to have that knife! I really like the ring on the pommel.

She is not. This is a good first attempt. But that blade is as thick as that of an axe, but you can't use it like one because that tiny tang would most likely not be able to withstand the related forces.
