Thanks for the vocoder tip - I never knew about that one. The white noise sure does add a new dimension to the hat - it explains what I have been hearing in tracks - I've been unable to work out how to achieve it. The difference between the original hihat and the modified hihat is huge.
Top job, will add this to my arsenal. Especially the groove info was helpful. Didn't know that commit would disable the tweaking of the parameters. Makes sense.....duh
Cracking tutorial. Can't wait to try that vocoder trick. How come you reached for a midi velocity device? I saw velocity in the groove section and wondered why the tutorial didn't touch on that velocity instead? Cheers
For better control over the velocity of the midi. Having a dedicated device gives you more options to tweak and get the balance right for your groove :)

It's a very common pro technique. Happy you like it :)
Definitely going to use these techniques on off-beat shakers & cymbals. Thanks!
Perfect technique to apply to those sounds!
Awesome stuff, simple right clicking in groove pool is going to save me so much time as well as not pressing commit so I can add amounts, thanks you !
Thanks Matt :)
Just never stop 👌🏻👋🏻
With comments like that we won't :)
