I dig your outlook. When the double digit happens, it will happen. Appreciate every fish!! More time on the water equals more opportunity. Nice fish my dude
Yeah, it’s such a meaningful goal of mine I started to put a little too much pressure on it, had to change my perspective. She’ll come when she’s ready, 100% Lots of cool catches in the meantime!
A major part of the fishing journey is challenging yourself and setting goals, when that double digit comes she’ll come. Most of the enjoyment comes from the chase of a biggin and catching along the way logging your PB’s. The sooner you get a double digit the sooner you’ll run out of PB’s!
100%, it’s all about the chase. Learning to understand how big fish live, move, and hunt is just fascinating in itself, and being able to do enough things correctly to get that fish to slip up and eat your bait is so rewarding. The sky is the limit though. Once I break 10 that’ll just be the beginning. There’s always a bigger fish
Got my punch reel handle upgraded, too. Makes a world of difference even for a dude will little baby hands like me 😂 Congrats on the new PB! That ol double digit is a-comin'
@@NWTrailSeries i have a handful of videos on my channel breaking down punching and how i approach it, baits, gear, etc Hope it helps! Definitely a great technique
Thanks brotha! It’s definitely one of the best ways to target big ones. I’ve caught 2 nines punching, 2 eights, all the way on down. I have some in depth videos up breaking down all my gear and my approach if you need some more tips!
Thanks for the support! Definitely the bigger handle makes a difference in getting that extra leverage. That flip bite is dying for me since the vegetation is dying off a bit, but we’ll be back at it next year!
Great visual on punching. I don't do it often and I've found it's well worth the wait when you hook that toad!! I used to be afraid of low tide and grass. Now I look for it. Nice video. #newsubscriber
@@pandemic_fishingrichardmoo8039 thanks for subbing! Punching is one of my favorite techniques. You’re not necessarily gonna get a ton of bites but if you’re hunting better quality fish it’s a must know technique. That low water definitely helps too
Noope. Not a secret spot by any means but i try to keep the small lake names private just out of respect for everyone who already fishes them, since they get a lot of pressure already
I've had way too many days being a wisherman 😂 so here I am on the couch watching you tear em up 💪🫡
Hey sometimes you just cant get out there so thats the next best thing 😹 thanks for watching

Sweet fish! I noticed nobody is on this lake, is this a private or public fishery, Rancho Murietta?
It’s public, gets hit pretty hard too. This was just during a little heat wave and i guess most people aren’t as crazy as I am 😹
