(but my test are correct items in workshop counts to raiding too, becouse i dont see why game raids settlements with 3 ppl 6 food, 3 water. Very Hard in settings. And OP forgot about one thing you need to go in game MAIN quest to increse raids amount so yea.
I guess I am a little late but there goes nothing. I am doing the homesteader challenge and I have set my difficulty level to survival, I have 0 defences and around 50 combined resources. I did not recieve an single raid. Is it perhaps an bug or do you perhaps know an mod that makes raider attacks more frequent?
it depend of your workshop too and settler . If you have a generator only conected to your purficator of water it will fill your workshopp with purified water if you dont have any dirty water or purified water already in workshop but the best option is dont have any in aid because food is sent there too if you want a settler imfarming and 1 free settler or scavaning then it will fill with food your workshop. That will affect a lot annd you will get a lot of attacks in special if it is a raider outpost and with cages XD
I made the mistake of trapping over 8 deathclaws on spectacle island on survival. You can imagine my surprise when I fast travel and find that both half of the island are being besieged by an army of angry deathclaws. Thank goodness for Jet...
Powered turrets and traps can be switched off, and then they won’t count as defense when the game engine calculates for raids. This method has been used by others to farm Legendary enemies. Stock your workshop with lots of food and drink, have a lot of crops and water, and use powered defenses that only get turned on when you get raided. This combination will generate more raids than average, and you’ll still be protected.
So basically or your game on difficulty, two plant a lot of crops and water pumps, 3. Set traps for whey they try to steal your crops water and plants. Wait till they come, get trapped, also put turrets in the cages, when you open them, they did the job for you. Only place the turrets in the raiders, and small creatures cages tho.
Fun fact if you download a mod called Dangerzone You fan create custom raids at any of your settlements its on nexus and console it allows you to be raided by anything from cats to deathclaws
I want to make my life hard and download a mod that has a holograph that makes people attack a settlement infinitely free xp loot and fun times besides I play with modded revolvers only now and it’s a good way to test them
