Congratulations to Ruby Rose and congratulations to SeaWind. This is an impressive collaboration - a phenomenal boat where the builder truly meets the needs of cruisers. 🎉🍾
Hear hear. A lot of thorough work went into the reviews, to the point i was wondering where these vids were going. Your work has paid off and congratulations to you both. A great result and we're all looking forward to you getting back on the water. As a relatively inexperienced mono-hull sailor you've certainly opened-up my eyes to cat sailing and i'm sure others too. Best of luck to you both, well done indeed!
Wow, wow, wow. Thankyou all so much for such an overwhelmingly positive response! We're so lucky to have such an amazing, supportive audience- you guys are the best! We can't wait to go on this journey with you all. Exciting times ahead. - Nick & Terysa
With your recommendations Seawind seems to have knocked it out of the park and I loved your detailed cat buying series! Congrats on the collaboration...I had a feeling a smart manufacturer would see the value in doing so after what has to be one of the best breakdowns of boat comparisons I've seen. On another note..scuttlebutt is Billy and Sierra are selling their cat and your Southerly might be their next liveaboard?...anyway..well done and again congratulations Edit: I just checked out the Seawind site and the Ruby Rose package...holy cow ..what a great price point for a well kitted blue water cat...again well done Seawind and Ruby Rose
I was set on the 1260, but just looked at the 1370 specs. A spectacular boat on all levels; nothing like it out there. It covers all the bases, with top quality build. This cat is a game changer. Really excited to see the process in your upcoming videos; there will be many who follow your lead.
Naaaahhh..YOU guys are the best! Just a great channel with two intelligent, adventurous and fun loving couple people who put out some super vlogs. Thanks for taking us into your lives and along with you on your travels. Happy trails.....
Brilliant of Seawind to join Ruby Rose. Whomever made that decision should get a fat raise. I never heard of Seawind until Ruby Rose introduced me to them. Now I would surely consider buying a Seawind....great job to Seawind you could have picked better people to partner with, they are smart, and so fun to watch. You guys will sell a lot more boats because of Ruby Rose!
Any Boat She is aboard is perrrrfffffect! Apart from that NON SENSE above... Well Done peeps! That is truly the way forward if one wants have the Best! 50 % designed by yourself! I can not wait to see it done! Thanks for the update
Congratulation to you and Seawind! It's not often I'm totally green with envy, but holy COW, what a beautiful (and practical) girl she's going to be!!! Amazing. So excited for you!
I've been watching, reading, researching for several years now for the (my) perfect boat. I subscribed to your channel (the only one I am starting to follow) due to your knowledge, experience and charisma. I always had my reservations on many boat builders "morale passions" if I were to cover all aspects from design, quality, support, passion and respect. What Seawind did with you is a business model that solidified my belief that they are morally passionate in what they do and listen to the end user. It is the same business model I use in my business. Seawind is already a trend setter and you can see that they will eventually dominate.
Nick, No worries about the delay... worth the wait...SEAWIND 1370 !! Awesome and congrats to you both, great choice!! Ruby Rose 2 looks Beautiful, cant wait till she is finished! Fair winds and following seas Ruby Rose !!
Good to see that designers or manufacturers are actually listening to clients and incorporating their needs and nice to haves into their designs instead of just doing what they think is best. From watching your reviews, if they truely put in what you have requested, this will be a killer cat and will change the game for other designers. Well done!
Don't fly your hopes too high! Ruby Rose II would be one-of marketing ship(for which am quite sure Seawind will have part ownership!). For other mortals like you and I,1370 would be another series build cat. Which is not to say a bad thing per se! But still... your wishes end up at the mold, take it or leave it.
Vlado Petrovski Yes, my guess is endorsement deal incl this video basically an infomercial for boat co. Still congrats on making a win/win deal. Actual costs for these boats is often far more then given.
Well, well, well. this is so wonderful. I can see the fun and pleasures you will have with family and others on this beautiful catamaran. God Bless. Congrats.
My mother always said that hard work pays off. A massive chunk of work, both by yourselves and by encouraging others, to figure out what sailors really want. Being recognised by Seawind for this work, and welcomed into their design process, must have made you both super proud. Looking forward to the start of watching the build with you both
Congratulations to you both. A fantastic collaboration with Seawind. And what a stunning boat they’ve built. Can’t wait for splash day. Excited to watch the journey with you
Safety, sped, ventilation, large windows, storage, regen, protected helm, and as Nick says...."acutrimonts" galore. You nailed it! Simply nailed it! 2023 will be here in no time, congrats, congrats, one for the upcoming wedding and two for the boat, Ruby Rose II that is. Co tinue success and please continue sharing your knowledge with all, I've learned so much in terms of sailing practical applications, that I'm becoming a better sailor because you have expanded my knowledge base. Thank you, Peace & Blessings my friends 😎 🏖
Wow, congratulations you guys! I’m glad we have the option of acquiring the same exact boat of the Ruby Rose 🌹 2 Edition in which the manufacturer is implementing. Thanks for that; she’s a beaut!!!
Seawind is not going to know what to do with that success... For instance, this boat just topped my list if I decide to finance new instead of buy an older boat when I retire in 4 years. And there's no way I'm on my own with that thought process!
Stunning choice of options, she sounds like an award winning design, book those industry award dinner slots now. Can’t wait to see the financials though...lol!
Better at anchor, worse at the marina probably. I love the 6'9" headroom. Hard to find stand up boats for me at 6'6". And that polar diagram is exciting!
Never thought I'd binge wach a show like your’s... but we’re hooked! I’ve enjoyed a few ocean voyages over the years. I’m presently dealing with health challenges related to having MS. I don’t know that I’ll ever get to go sailing again, but I still dream about it... Sincere gratitude for taking us along with you! I can almost smell the salty air and the thought brings a smile to my face.
Stunning boat, I dont believe I could live with having to look through the saloon from the helm but in truth have not experienced this. Stunning boat and about bloody time it was revealed. I look forward to the journey from here. You both look like the cats that ate the canary, I cant remember either of you grinning so much! well done.
Nick - you can take the Girl out of Aussie but you can’t get the Aussie out of the girl! Now you’ll proudly have two from down under to enjoy marvelous times and adventure with. Well done to you both. You’ve been true to your previous critiques and come up with the perfect solution. Congrats.
Awesome! I toured several and even test sailed a couple of catamarans at the Miami boat show. There were a lot of nice cats but the Seawinds stood above them all. Not only in build quality and practicality but also in the company itself. Those guys were amazing. They made you want to buy their boat just to work with them.
Wow. rain water supply and alternator power on engines! the layout is awesome !! long distance traveler and fast for a cruiser. love your ideas and design ...best I have seen yet on a 45...I love the helm stations as they are enclosed and I think one would feel safe and protected there even in rough water. I am so excited for you both and cant wait to see you onboard. I would love to have one like that someday....congrats to you and to Vietnam makers.... it looks amazing
Awesome you two! My wife and I saw the video from Seawind for the 1370 yesterday and my wife said that's the one! Looks like it will be a great yacht. Hopefully the wait list for the rest of us won't be too long... Cheers!
Congratulations!!! Yesterday I saw the Seawind presentation and instantly thought of you! I'm really happy for you and cannot wait to you see you crossing oceans fast on it! Love how much solar and optimizations have been considered into the cat, as eliminating the generator and adding lot of solar. Thank you for all the amazing content!!!!
After reading the comments, there is nothing left unsaid. So million congratulations 👏 🙌 ❤ ye deserve it. I wish you the very BEST and can't wait for future videos. You're awesome couple 👍👏🙏🤝🤙🤘✊❤ GOD Bless you and your seawind, 🙏
I think Seawind are real winners in this collab. This review/ endorsement of their vessel is by far the best exposure possible for the fine company. Your viewers respect your knowledge and “pickiness” in finally choosing a vessel, and this can only result in great things for both parties. Well done.
Congratulations Teressa and Nick, this is a real game changer for you. And, us as subscribers 😉. Your options and upgrades clearly show your experience. This will serve you well. A couple of things I can point out for consideration if I may...and, in advance, sorry for the longish reply. Hope you find these thoughts useful. Air draft of 70.5’ may prohibit you from some prime coastal areas. I know you’re planning a pacific crossing and there won’t be many bridges in that part of the world until you get to harbours like Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Brisbane, Hong Kong, Bangkok, etc. and of course the east coast of US and Canada. I think the standard is less that 65’ for the inter coastal. Can’t imagine that loosing 5’ of mast would have much of a performance impact to give you more cruising options when you need it. I’m sure Seawind can offer suggestions here. Expensive, but consider solid stainless rails rather than wire or dyneema and taller for security. Yes, it adds weight, but from your polars it looks like the boat won’t suffer. If you go this route, maybe also consider some granny rails at the front near the mast. I have a Yanmar 40hp with 110 amp alternator and although I’d like to upgrade to 200 amps, I was surprised when you said you’re going up to 500 amp! I’m sure you’re doing your due diligence and there will be warranties, etc, but be sure the diesels can take this much load, especially under way, or that you have an alternator cut off so headway isn’t impacted by charging load in case your batteries are low at the same time as you need to power through a headwind in 3-4 m waves on the nose. In those kinds of conditions you’ll need both 40’s running to stay in control.
Ahoy! Felicidades, you found your Dreamboat. Seawind is defently my choice too. Your setup looks defently fine to me. Watching always with attention your videos. Thanks for all the informations I got from your reports. Happy sailing.
Wow and WOW!! I had to run this video again because there was so much information on the new Seawind! Your experience and honesty go a long way toward a super-collaboration for Ruby Rose 2; I am stoked to see and know more.
Happy for you guys....you bring a lot of pleasure to a lot of people and in this crazy world we live in now it's refreshing to see someone with genuine hope and expectation for the future. We're all willing you on !!

I'm going to come at this from a different perspective. Well done Seawind for recognizing the marketing capture potential with this channel. Also congratulations to the Ruby Rose channel for putting out some of the most informative and comparative information there is regarding catamarans. As someone with limited knowledge about blue water live aboard sailing I have had quite a few "that makes total sense" moments watching these videos. Your hard work and efforts have now been rewarded with a partnership between a great boat builder excellent ambassador for the brand. I am excited to see the whole process from start to finish and I suspect that Seawind will be overloaded with orders for Ruby Rose outfitted boats. So much so that they will incorporate some of those options in the other lines they are producing. What an amazing partnership. You get the boat of your dreams and because they realize the benefits accommodating a vast number needs, they end up with a whole new direction to take their products. Hats of to you.
Hey Bonita & Yoshi! :) Ya know, Nandji can tie-up to RR2 in the rear and RR2 can tow it around while you vacation aboard in a guest stateroom with AIR CONDITIONING! Add a few other cruisers all tied up, and it would be like a string of pearls cruising island to island, led and driven by RR2. :¬) Webhead USA
This is crazy exciting. Really really looking forward to seeing you guys on this. The boat you've been destined to take on. Nick somehow, like Jeremy Clarkson, you've got a great way of describing things and making them sound like something we want. Have you thought about starting a sailing channel? I think you'd be good at it. You just need an attractive first mate and a good boat... oh wait... tick tick and tick.
Fantastic news, she looks like she'll be incredible. To be honest, I'm not too surprised it's Seawind, as it was obvious you didn't just like their boats but you both had that emotional reaction prior get when they find the right boat for them. Now if it had turned out to be a Neale, then I'd have been more surprised!
Congratulations! That says something major about Seawind, listening to the customer, this yacht will be a major seller for Seawind! Exciting times eh? Comfort, speed, and endurance, looks like the research has paid off, (sv calico jack)
I was suspicious when I found out you were in Thailand. Think I even made a comment on one of the videos. Ruby Rose is a beautiful boat and RR2 will continue the tradition. Congratulations guys.
When you get the time, stop by Fiji and say "Hi" to the Wynns, and take them out on an overnight sail;... Nikki and Jason may still be stuck there and will need some encouragement and love.
This is really exciting, great graphics too. My only hope is that you retain the down to earth character of your wonderful YT channel. In recent years another well known channel also converted to a rather high end cat, sadly their humble beginnings appeal and attitude disappeared soon after. What a wonderful collaboration to be a part of. I am sure Seawind is going to reap the rewards of your cruising input.
Honestly mate, if I start climbing out of my box, you can slap me. You’ll have to wait in line though as my Mother will have first dibs on straightening me out 🤣🤣
Wow who s a happy bunny then , love the protected double helm & all the clip on points , great you got your liferaft position at last. Like the way the cookers away from the stairs thats a worry on some pro crafts also like the reverse engine hatch s near the sugar scoops thats a safety plus, going all electric is the way to go gas is a real fire hazard. Still on my personal wish list would have been props not saildrives but overall all sounds a dream cat plus twice the speed of jason & nikki s of a similar size. Presume some kind of clear plastic for the helms , I can see a race in the future against Le Vagabond dont think there will be much in it. Can you print off some prices & extra prices please in the near future there s going to be a lot of interest in this Cat , Well done guys hope the discout was good Lol.
Hey Nick & Terysa, Looks like you made a great deal with SeaWind! Also, those are interesting choices, may of which of obvious to me too. Your choice of engines (and fuel capacity is interesting) I kind of agree with Dan and Kika about engines. If you have no wind, you didn't route yourself properly. On the other hand though, if you're ever dismasted, it'll be good to motor to a port where repairs can be made. It will be great to see how she sails and how ya'll manage the boat and all her systems in future videos. Brace yourselves, you're about to be overwhelmed with offers for crewing positions!
Nick & Terysa, congratulations on RR2, a great boat. I had a deposit on a Seawind 1260 (which I loved), but now I have moved it to a Seawind 1370 (looks perfect for my needs), but I will have to wait until mid 2023 for delivery , so I will have to live off your videos and adventures until then. You and this boat has generated a LOT of buzz and I think they have sold close to 30 boats in just a few days. Will have to join Patreon to get more details. Keep up the great work.
Congrats with your new Beautiful boat. Interested in your thoughts on the helm position and the choice to have it down under the bimin. Can see the pros for protection and interaction but What with the conetion to the sails and the feal of the wind ect?
Holy crap, I saw the official Seawind announcement for the 1370 and immediately ran to the comments of your previous video to say you guys found your boat. And you really did!
Sounds and looks great, personally prefer the layout with galley below but layout options such a personal thing. Be really interesting to see this develop and I get a sneaky feeling you could go full electric engine :) best of luck and fair seas to you both.
@@vincent5 hi we have a Seawind 1250 with the galley down for 9 years. Lots of reasons. 1/ Out of sight out of mind all the dishes can be put in the sink out of the way until you really need to wash up, so more time to socialise without the after dinner mess 2/ Galley down has plenty of room deep freezer double sink everything you need. 3/ We don't need that space wasted as extra storage or Parents Retreat which we do not need granted many others might 4/ More space where more friends/family can enjoy the view. Look at that perfect all round vision in the saloon why clutter it 5/ Plenty of room in the galley even while you are doing the washing up yet enough points to hold your self in place if needed 6/ Plenty of airflow in galley down with rooftop hatch as well as side window 7/ with the extra length of the bigger boat there will be even more usable space in the galley down leaving upstairs as a clean showroom with space & all round view to relax i am sure there are more but these ar a few
I see why you think the lift raft being right in the back is in a good position, and it would be if you didn't have a dinghy. But not you have to lower your dinghy and unhook it to get it out of the way for the life raft. I think it would be better a d more practical to have it on deck somewhere even if you have to open a compartment, it would still be far faster than getting it around the dinghy. Or on top of the davits would be ideal. It's just my opinion though. That being said, I do like the seawinds.
I would agree about the life raft. For a monohull sailor, where fast access can be crucial (all those keels that can drop off!) psychologically and physically, you need fast access. After sailing catamarans for a bit, you begin to lose the “monohull viewpoint” and start to adjust to the “new normal” . Have fun making the transition and arriving there!
Congratulations to Ruby Rose and congratulations to SeaWind. This is an impressive collaboration - a phenomenal boat where the builder truly meets the needs of cruisers. 🎉🍾

I am so excited to see this in the water, as well as the build vlog...
Ahoy! Felicidades, you found your Dreamboat. Seawind is defently my choice too. Your setup looks defently fine to me. Watching always with attention your videos. Thanks for all the informations I got from your reports. Happy sailing.
Congratulations on the new boat. I look forward to following your journey to full ownership.
I love it! I think I would have a single ocean volt motor on one side and a diesel motor on the other. A Hybrid setup makes a lot of sense to me.
Wow and WOW!! I had to run this video again because there was so much information on the new Seawind! Your experience and honesty go a long way toward a super-collaboration for Ruby Rose 2; I am stoked to see and know more.
Woohoo! She looks lovely! Well done, Nick and Terysa!
Happy for you guys....you bring a lot of pleasure to a lot of people and in this crazy world we live in now it's refreshing to see someone with genuine hope and expectation for the future. We're all willing you on !!

Fantastic RR-Seawind.
But your catamaran test series in RUclips are perfect, too.

So excited for you!!!! Thanks for sharing all your experience and expertise. Cannot wait to watch your build and journey with her!
Thank you so much. Lovely comment
💯
Congratulations, can't wait to see you guys ⛵ sailing
Congratulations! What a great boat this will be. Can't wait to see what she can do on the high seas! Happy Trails
I cannot wait!!! Oh Congratulations to both of you! The builder is very lucky to have your partnership!
Yew! So awesome guys! What a beautiful vessel you legends have created. I look forward to the day when it’s sun downers on ruby rose 2! Congrats!
YES PLEASE! Can't wait to have sundowners with you two again. Thanks so much guys 🤗
@@webheadusa9377 I would give anything to hear Yoshi give the narration of what you just described.

Thank you for all your effort and posts - I allows the rest of us to dream of “one day “
Thank you again
Always a pleasure mate
This is crazy exciting. Really really looking forward to seeing you guys on this. The boat you've been destined to take on.
Nick somehow, like Jeremy Clarkson, you've got a great way of describing things and making them sound like something we want. Have you thought about starting a sailing channel? I think you'd be good at it. You just need an attractive first mate and a good boat... oh wait... tick tick and tick.
So exciting! Cannot wait to watch it being built and the final product!
Well done guys! Awesome boat.. many happy miles
Congratulations! That says something major about Seawind, listening to the customer, this yacht will be a major seller for Seawind! Exciting times eh? Comfort, speed, and endurance, looks like the research has paid off, (sv calico jack)
Very very cool boat... cant wait to see it on the water.
I was suspicious when I found out you were in Thailand. Think I even made a comment on one of the videos. Ruby Rose is a beautiful boat and RR2 will continue the tradition. Congratulations guys.
Happy for you:) look forward to when it's in the water.. Thanks for the update...
When you get the time, stop by Fiji and say "Hi" to the Wynns, and take them out on an overnight sail;... Nikki and Jason may still be stuck there and will need some encouragement and love.
If only we could help them out, we would! We're sending them lots of well wishes.
Wow wow wow 🤩 Amazing you two
!! Congratulations 🎉🍾
You’ll have to wait in line though as my Mother will have first dibs on straightening me out 🤣🤣
Awesome!!! I’m excited for you guys!!
Wonderful! So happy for you!
You designed the boat I want to sail the world on!
Thank you!!
Fantastic...I had a 1160 for almost 10 years and always thought 45 feet would be my ideal and Seawind do a great production job.
Very happy for you guys...nicely done👍👍
What? Seawind now has a 45ft cat - WOW🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ah congratulations mate! Welcome to the 1370 club.
Congrats with your new Beautiful boat. Interested in your thoughts on the helm position and the choice to have it down under the bimin. Can see the pros for protection and interaction but What with the conetion to the sails and the feal of the wind ect?
The best thing here... YOU TWO ARE EXCITED !... Very happy to see your joy relative to this new adventure.
Holy crap, I saw the official Seawind announcement for the 1370 and immediately ran to the comments of your previous video to say you guys found your boat. And you really did!
Very happy for you guys. Congratulations!!!
Sounds and looks great, personally prefer the layout with galley below but layout options such a personal thing. Be really interesting to see this develop and I get a sneaky feeling you could go full electric engine :) best of luck and fair seas to you both.
I agree i would like the galley below
Why a galley below?
@@vincent5 hi we have a Seawind 1250 with the galley down for 9 years. Lots of reasons.
1/ Out of sight out of mind all the dishes can be put in the sink out of the way until you really need to wash up, so more time to socialise without the after dinner mess
2/ Galley down has plenty of room deep freezer double sink everything you need.
3/ We don't need that space wasted as extra storage or Parents Retreat which we do not need granted many others might
4/ More space where more friends/family can enjoy the view. Look at that perfect all round vision in the saloon why clutter it
5/ Plenty of room in the galley even while you are doing the washing up yet enough points to hold your self in place if needed
6/ Plenty of airflow in galley down with rooftop hatch as well as side window
7/ with the extra length of the bigger boat there will be even more usable space in the galley down leaving upstairs as a clean showroom with space & all round view to relax
i am sure there are more but these ar a few
Terysa’s smile says it all...can’t wait to see RR2 on the water. Congratulations to the both of you.
