    One of the best videos you’ve made recently, some RUclipsrs make a whole video on fault finding and cleaning a carb - you gave us 15 seconds, whip it out, straw it through, engine running - chip off the old block… also watching your mum sat in a deck chair perched on the pontoon saying ‘this is great’ was class.

    Mark, May I make a positive comment, when you are using a hole saw to cut the finger holes in the plywood birth boards, just before the hole saw cuts through, flip the board over and cut from the opposite side… you will eliminate the break out of the veneer… John…

    I started restoring 35 ft coral sea. When I got it you could push your finger through the hull where it had soaked up water. x grand later It had me beat. So well done to you son. Great job

    1:58 protip so you don't blow through your ply: drill the pilot, then score the hole cutter on both sides, before going away at it, that way, you won't be pulling the veneer with you when you pierce. :)

    Before you bought that boat I am sure there were a lot of people who thought it would never move again. It is so great to see it well on its way to rehabilitation. I will admit to being skeptical when you bought it.

    I’m so pleased to see this video. Mate! When you got to 2.5kts under ‘sail’ I thought bloody impressive for a jury rig. That’s a lot of boat to push with a couple of handkerchiefs.

    When using a hole saw:
    Drill the pilot and a little way in with the hole saw itself.
    Then flip the workpiece over and cut all the way through from the other side.
    You will have no tear-out as you exit the work piece, as you already made some cuts from the primary side.

      I'm constantly astounded by Mark's inventiveness and, as you say, resilience. He is a true antidote for the generally "entitled" young adults in the UK (and, I suspect, elsewhere in the 1st world).

And by that I mean supportive parents that make him feel he can do it. If today's generation is failing, the blame really goes towards the generation that raised them.

I think a far larger problem in this world is people born with everything thinking the reason they succeeded was because they are somehow better. Thinking they are Babe Ruth because they scored in life. Never mind that they were born on third base. While a lot of people never even have the opportunity to swing the bat. But it is their fault.     Looking good you and the boat you look very happy Mark! And it is awesome to see all the people and friends helping you with labor and things you can use on the boat. Your an awesome person and others fill that and this brings them to want to help you out. ❤️👍☝️keep being the kind and awesome person you are man!!!you need to knoch out around the bilge hoses so the board will lay flat so you don't break a leg till you can reroute your hoses out of the way then you can fix the knoches later just don't twist your ankle or hurt your leg.

    Mark, this was brilliant. Out of context this could be a disaster movie, with jury-rigged sails and what-not, but in context it looked like an incredibly relaxed sail with mates and family. Love it - made me giggle! The boat looks amazing at sea. I wasn't sure at first, but the thing looks solid af. Can't wait to see what rig she gets. As ever, good luck!

    Put the nozzle of spray foam to the dingy nozzle and fill. The dinghy will be hard but never deflate. Foam is light weight. Have fun.

    Driving, sailing, on the hard in a boat yard. Your folks are so positive and accommodating. Especially travelling at sea in such cold and blustery weather. Boat borrom is probably good but need scraping, cleaning, some fresh paint and maybe a few patches to fix. Most of the work on the rudders, hatches, port lights.

    Use a bit of scrap wood as a backing to avoid ragged cuts with the hole saw.
