Thank you for showing us the different range of poles. I will be looking very soon to buying one, possibly xp35 as I only started pole fishing last season and I got a secondhand Diawa yank and bank, and it’s very difficult to get the top kits as they are a larger size to the new ones.
Look forward to see how it performs on bank at length and in margins, hope they give you a few of them to show us all, they will be doing themselves a massive advert to compete with diawa & Preston so far looks a good competitor. The crossing of carbon sounds good just need to see a fish on it, like the idea of extra bits as well. We'll done certainly made me think this could be the one I'm looking for, keep up the good work

Great video. Just a few things that confuse me. If all the sections of all the ranges use the same mandrels, how is it possible to get the increased taper on the ultra control kits? Also, how does this 8" shorter quicker taper cause the top to stiffen up the pole more so than simply cutting 8" off a tip? When you accessed the top pole, you were keen to mention it's better girth. Surely all these poles have the same diameter at a given length if they are off the same mandrel (other than a fraction of a mm for carbon/finishing)?
Hi Ben, I'm going to be buying a new pole soon hopefully, Knowing you've had your hands on a few in the alley, Which pole would you pick between the Middy XP35 and Daiwa G90? Ignoring spares availability
Used the xk-55 for many years awesome poles I upgraded to the xk-55-3 and was totally shocked when I got it home it had no side puller's drilled in and no ptfe bushes and also wasn't even in protection tubes it was a massive let down when you pay 1600+ for a pole.
been watching all your pole videos , i have a xk55(9-10yrs old) so im thinking of having a change , in your honest opinion which is the best pole in the £1500-£2500 range of any makes , also if i say went for a xk65-3 at 14.5mtrs would my 16mtr section fit the new pole (ive never used the xk55 at 16mtrs, any advice appreiciated and your vids are excellent
For me the Middy xz65-3 is superb at all lengths love mine. Im not sure if yours would be compatible but Im sure you could ask in the shops or take your section in.

The xq1 is a beast only comes with short top kits though but only 45 quid for the longer carp top kits if you prefer longer kits for carp ( which I do ) the short ones are great for margin fishing for f1s

I found it weird the extension is the same size so fits on the top kit then straight onto the 4th section. or you can use it with out it
Oh my that was brilliant. How do they compare with 13mtr acolyte pro carp latest model. Cost me £800 with 3 spare to 2 and that all. No holdel
you want to look at the ix20 or the xp35 for that money both are superb. Stiff, strong & have good packages.

Middy all day is the lighter but daiwa better for spares

The monster is idea or The middy XQ1 or xm1-3 both light stiff and wont break the bank

What better the XI20-3 or the map 401 3G ?
both are great. Easier to get spares for the map but XI20 is stronger
