Bought a middy baggin machine year's ago as good as ever had CARP to 24 on it not the lightest but got Faith in it same with xflex 4g whip loads doubles on it
Hi Dave, I've just returned to fishing after a long break and I'm really enjoying your videos, keep it up. I was wondering where you get your fishing outfits from as I'm really struggling to find any that fit a man of larger proportions
nice little video there david pity you didn't get a biggie on it but hey ho, i love my MTX1 power from matrix my self, and do you think you can lose fish by having to bigger elastic on mate ??
I used to lose loads of fish when I had 18 solid elastic on my margin pole... dropped down to the white map and not lost one since.. you bump them off when too heavy
Hi, great video, thanks. What size internal bushes did you use for the shadow and match top kits? Also, do you think the M3 is worth the extra £175 over the M2, for only an extra shadow top kit, extra 1.5 meters and a little lighter, or stick with the M2 and use the money saving to buy extra top kits? Thanks in advance.
Hi mate, I took it to the tackle shop and they fit it me in the bushes , the pole is amazing, It depends on what your using it for, a 10 meter margin pole is normally great for most commercial Fisherys. 👍
@@Jbirdoffcialmusic Hi Jake, thanks for your comments. I had a try of both the 10 and 11.5 meter poles in Angling Direct, as they had a pole alley. Spent ages trying to decide between the two, but eventually opted for the 11.5 due to it being a bit more versatile. It looks and feels great, but can't try it out until the jolly fat man pops it down the chimney in a few weeks 😀 Could I be cheeky and ask two quick questions please: 1) not including the 11.5 to 13 meter (last) and top2 (power)/top3 (match) sections on yours, how many sections do you have? 2) (this is in relation to the first question) I'm having difficulty using the Fighter 8th/9th reversible mini butt as only one of its ends (the thinner end) will fit into the last section of my pole (11.5m section), so doesn't seem very reversible to me if only one end is usable, therefore, are you able to use it in a reversible fashion with any of the sections you have up to the 11.5m mark? Maybe I'm doing something wrong or the fatter end of the mini butt is for the end of the 13m section only. Apologies for the questions, but the Middy website and customer service email service have been of no help. Thanks in advance.
Just in case anyone has just bought the M3 mkii (or M2 mkii) and are interested, the Maver MV-R 3.5mm (size 10) internal PTFE bushes fit perfectly into the end of the power kits and the number 2 section of the match kits, without the need to cut the pole down (not everyone likes to, or are comfortable/confident cutting into their new pole 😀) Beware, not all 3.5mm internal bushes are the same as some I tried just wouldn't fit, but the Maver bushes (above) do. Hope this helps someone as there is no info on this issue on the Middy website. Cheers.
No the XM10-3 pole is from the Reactacore range which is totally different mandrels, this is from the Xtreme MKII range. But it will take top kits from the Xtreme Original range too

The M1 can be used with the m2,you can now buy an M1 for around 50 quid so I would say buy both and that gives you another top kit and a 4 meter margin pole on top of everything the m2 gives you, bargain.
@@youpoptube1 m2 and m3 five section fits into the m1 - allowing extension of m1 to over 4 metres. But im led to believe that the Map tks top kits fit with middy m2 and m3, which has interchangeable top kits.
I’ve got the xm10 and I use Preston 17 Dura slip which is just right but it’s rated to a 25 elastic and I’ve had carp well over 20lb I believe Middy make the best margin poles on the market
I've got 2 xm10 brilliant poles bought 1 for spares don't know y couldn't break it if I tried also have the xk55 which is a top class match pole with back bone
thx for the honest opinion dave and the nice video
Cheers Steven 🍻
