I believe in Manny Jacinto's muscly arms supremacy 🥵💪
Mae's speech trying to "save" Osha from the brainwashing of the Jedi was fantastic to me! It's exactly the kind of way a Jedi would try to talk to and redeem a Sith. This role reversal is phenomenal.
I think my favorite part of the episode is the way Qimir appropriates the language of a persecuted minority because he corrupted Mae that way and will probably be trying to corrupt Osha in a similar way. It’s like conservatives claiming that being a conservative is just like being a Jew in Nazi Germany, he’s drawing a false equivalence between simply being of a minority religion and practicing an ideology that worships murder, oppression, and genocide. “Why shouldn’t I be allowed to use my power freely” because you’re killing people.
Also it’s pretty clear that Mae loves the idea of Osha but not the real person, hence why she was willing to surrender to get her back but left her for Qimir when she didn’t comply. Love as possession in action.
I would like to point out tho that this iteration of the sith is non-contiguous with the sith the Jedi are familiar with. To them the word sith is basically the same as the word heretic. Qimir doesn't seem to be evil, he just wants the freedom to use the force in the way that is true to himself. And when he gets to, he learns things like force healing. At this point in time, he is the inventor of that ability, and the only one who can do that.
Yes we know that ultimately qimir will lead to the empire and the sith we see in the prequels, but how that happens, and weather that's his intention right now is entirely up in the air.
Peace is a lie there is only passion. The force shall free me.
Mae seems to have changed her mind about surrendering well before that actually. She had plenty of opportunities to.
@@one_for_one “Doesn’t seem to be evil” he murders people. Lots of them.
@@one_for_one “Doesn’t seem to be evil” he murders people and has abused and isolated Mae. He’s evil.
I think that whatever their mum did to create them imbued Mae with the dark side and Osha with the light side, it probably wasn't intentional but their natures are pretty much the opposite of each other and that's why they clashed so much as children and had such polar opposite plans for the future. I think the thing that made Mae turn on Osha was that she still insisted on arresting her and was doing the "self righteous Jedi" thing rather than being happy to see her and just being sisters again, she sees it as Osha betraying her a second time, the first being when she chose the Jedi when they were children. She would probably argue that Osha doesn't love her. Without knowing what really happened on the night of the fire, we can only guess atm but it seems like the Jedi were somehow responsible hence Mae going on her revenge rampage. From her point of view, Osha is choosing the people who murdered their family and is determined to take Mae in for her crimes. I think ultimately, Mae swapped identities as a matter of practicality, they can't arrest the innocent Osha for Mae's crimes, can they? But I doubt she'll be able to keep the act up or fool Sol once he's got over the shock of what just happened.
Smilo Ren "Qimir" has a Pure Cortosis* Helmet and bracer, Cortosis is an extremely rare metal that is hard to work with, has high energy absorption and shorts out Sabers temporarily on contact, however the metal itself is brittle to *Physical* Damage. Which is why Jecki was able to break it with the elbow strikes. Cortosis is *usually* used as a weave or alloy with other materials and metals, with diluted effectiveness.
lol @ "Smilo Ren"!!
They really nailed making Qimir feel like a big threat this episode. I fully believed he was someone that could wipe out an entire squad of trained Jedi.
I disagree with you in that he was so easily overwhelmed by those manta-beetles. The showrunners didn't establish the bugs as a proper threat, they were drawn by light and easily killed, so when Smilo Ren got abuducted (in the most slapstick/ hijinks manner possible) it really deflated the amount of dread they had built up earlier in the episode.
@@HungryEyes-sl3muNot really. There's this whole theme in Star Wars, especially in the side stuff. That nature is the ultimate balance between light and darkness and thus nature is outside of whatever moral perception that the Jedi and the sith have. I've been constant times in the past for both a Jedi and sith were overwhelmed in nearly defeated by just simply nature. Reason why it's the biggest enemy in the recent Jedi video games and I use the term enemy loosely.
i'm so glad Bazil survived an episode with such high stakes. i love that little guy
And he's going to be the one who blows Mae's cover, calling it now
I was really happy to see how Manny Jacinto was able to use his acting range in this episode. He apparently did almost all of the fight stunts, too. I hope it leads to more opportunities for him bc he was so iconic as Jason Mendoza think it was easy for him to typecast
Yeah, last week I was having doubts about him being the villain but this episode buried that doubts
I loved the way the sith targeted the lightsabers, of the jedi, during the fight. His fighting style was brutal and efficient. While the jedi had their rules of engagement, his movements were chaotic, unpredictable and all with one focus: Kill the jedi.
Awesome!!
The helmet and bracer are made of cortosis. It's a material that shorts lightsabers on contact (as long as it's reinforced; it's possible to cut through a pure or thin enough sample REALLY fast before the short out effect kicks in because it's brittle). It's not a force trick.
Surprise, surprise, all that drama about "yOu ArE BrEaKiNg CaNoN" was overblown and they are still doing it.
There are problems with the show but not enough to justify the meltdowns some of the merchants of grief and rage were having. I wish these shows were a bit more even.
Can’t speak for the “complainosphere” people but the breaks in established canon are enough to tick me seriously of, but that is my neurodiversity, speaking, and i try to keep it in check.
Trust me playing board games with little children is a real challenge when your brain starts screaming in your head when rules are broken or things are changed. I think i lost something when they changed Star Wars canon an banished all the old materiel to Legends.
But again that is a me problem, and i am not the only one with that problem and i am not the hardest hit person. But i do not need the “complainosphere” or activists in my hobbies pushing my buttons, like nails on a chalk board.
@@erikrungemadsen2081 if this season ends with this Sith encounter being "covered up by the Jedi" then canon won't be broken, correct? It fleshs out the prequeals even more by showing why the Jedi in this era become so flawed. It all makes sense if you watch with an open-minded perspective.
So much is based on people not knowing cortosis when they see it. It's EU stuff they are bringing *into* canon, there's a difference.
But it does break cannon. The timeline doesn't fit. Those are just facts, you can still enjoy the show, don't get me wrong, but for some fans this lore is very near and dear to their hearts.
@@Steve_and Well no, because one of the jedi involved is litterally part of the council during the prequels. So the only way to explain it would be if he lost his memory or was working for the sith for decades and still got targeted by order 66. It's not easy to patch all of this up.
The Jedi talking about how the Sith get into people's minds not long after I learned that Palpatine defeated the Jedi that came to arrest him by "putting a riddle in their head that they all stopped to solve" is very very funny
Take a Colvid test as someone who caught Colvid from a very big event & congratulations Jessie. 🥳🎉
AHHH THAT'S MY VIDEO IN YOUR VIDEO
For everyone in chat, I was at the premiere and recorded Jessie's proposal. I tried my best to not completely break down emotionally but you can still hear me sobbing a bit 😅
And yes, Charlie Barnett was there too! I was standing behind him in the drink line and was too anxious to talk to him. Also I couldn't remember his name and didn't want to be like "HEY YOU! YOU'RE THAT GUY THAT PLAYS THAT DINGUS JEDI!"
So back to the episode, this one was great! Man I wish this show was more consistent; we keep flip flopping from amazing to mediocre. And yeah the villain reveal was exactly what we expected and I'm glad they didn't drag it out any further. I was kinda hoping it was going to be one of the witches (maybe even one of Mae/Osha's mothers) that survived but honestly Manny Jacinto absolutely killed it. I really like his line: "I just want to use my power." Going back to what I've been saying for years that the Jedi act like they own the Force.
Take care Jessie, hope you and Erin feel better soon. It was so lovely to be there with you during one of the happiest days of your life. SO FAR.
Love you, talk to you soon

I like the diversity in Dark side users the series brings. Teeth Helmet saying what he is has no name but the Jedi would probably call him Sith was very on brand. He really does operate differently from any other villians we've seen in Star Wars.
6:47 Jecki. AKA Tiny Ass-Kicking Machine
Was that its name?
@Dreadkid08 ...Not gonna lie, it took me a sec to realize what you were saying.
Closed captions said Jekki, if I remember correctly. Not that closed captions are always accurate.
Dafne Keen's turn as Jecki makes me hope the MCU will use her again as Laura Kinney/X-23 now that Disney owns 20th Century Fox and the X-Men universe. Cuz a fair bit of the Jecki x Mae and Jecki x Qimir/The Stranger/Darth Teeth fights gave me vibes of Laura aged up and wrecking house like her "father".
Two things. First off, congratulations on the engagement! That's fantastic and I wish you both the best.
Second, the metal that glitched out the lightsabers has been around since the 90s in the books. It's called cortosis.
Congratulations on your engagement, and on the premier of your film! And thanks for the thoughtful reviews; very much enjoying The Acolyte, too.
Me at the start of the episode when Jecki is nowhere to be seen: oh, I guess they sent her back to the ship since she's just a padawan and this dude is clearly out of her league.
Me, by the end of the episode: Why tf didn't you send her back to the ship, Sol?
It was great to see her fighting and actually holding her own for quite a while, loved that both her and Yord felt like fully rounded characters so it mattered when they died, it's just such a shame we got so little time with them.
I figured out that Darth Teeth was that guy a couple of days ago, like the way he was with Osha when they met and the fact he got there so quickly after Mae broke the deal, it just made sense that it had to be him and he'd been keeping tabs on her without her knowing. But even without it being a surprise it was an awesome moment, it was like two masks were dropped, his physical one and the dorky, slightly weaselly act he'd been putting on. It felt satisfying that I was right rather than disappointing that it was predictable, the hints were subtle enough that I was still prepared for it to be someone else entirely.
I loved this episode and I think it's probably the best lightsaber action we've gotten in all of Dinsey era Star Wars
Otto Hightower looking at Mae like really? that's your plan?
Personally I’ve been calling him Darth Bortles…
That was a great episode. Overall, this feels like a show with first season teething troubles, and not just from the sith. I hope that like it gets a chance to develop and grow in a second season, sometimes it’s unrealistic to expect everything to be fantastic out of the gate.
Basil is from 1979. It was great to see him.
He is not the Master, He is the Apprentice.
AJAB! I think with this series they're showing how power corrupts, both on the Light Side and the Dark. The Jedi in this era are being shown to have lost the idealism of their creed and embracing the power of the institution they have built. It puts all the younglings into frightening perspective. They're not just orphans and foundlings, they're kids taken from their families, sometimes by force. Worse, the Jedi Order actively scours the galaxy for force sensitives for control.
Bee Tee DUBZ! CONGRATULATIONS YOU CRAZY KID! You deserve all the happiness!
love this!
Does anyone notice when Sol's padawan ( sorry, name escapes me) gets killed? It's shaped like a sith holocron.
One of the things Darth Teeth did was just how easily he brought Master Soul down 'town his level.'
Like, yeah, he killed the padawan, but Soul brought her along because they love their child soldiers. Also, he got Soul SO ANGRY the fight turned into a bar brawl.
And damn, that lightsaber toss by Darth Teeth! I remember that move from the PS1 Star Wars fighting game. Once Darth Vadar or Luke brought that move out, you were screwed.
*_Congratulations!_*
P.S. I almost thought it might be Abigail in that helmet, because I don't remember whether we saw her among the dead, but I do remember her saying she got jacked for a role recently.
I think she got jacked for House of Dragons
Never thought Jason Mendoza could be my type but holy heck...... 💪💪💪
Oh I forgot. His gauntlet and mask are made out of something called cortosis. It's a mineral introduced in Legends that temporarily disrupts lightsaber blades.
Weirdly heart warming to see the Good Place guy as Dr Teeth.
Congratulations!! I'm SO happy for you!!
And light sabers and light sabers and light sabers and light sabers!
I guessed right about the episode title, but wrong about the identity of the man behind the mask, although the signs were there.
Yeah, it was great when she went all Ahsoka on him. Too bad it didn't help in the end.
Now I can't wait to see what happens next.
Everyone wants to talk about how "woke and, evil" the Acolyte is but, no one wants to talk about how fucking badass Qirim is breaking Lightsaber Blades with his fucking mind! That shit was sick! Also, congrats on the future wedding Jessie! I hope ya'lls future is beautiful.
That was some deep lore, a specific element from the novels that temporarily disables lightsabers when struck.
@@rdkirk3834 Scifi Magic Metal that all Scifi franchises have. Got it.
Freedom to use power is the Emperor.
THANKS for this!!!! And CONGRATS on the premiere and your engagement!!!!
I still don't understand the purpose of this show.
I would have preferred that the show be about Jedi corruption, with the twins as important and breakout characters.
"A Jessie Gender video. Don't you want to see her face? Don't you want to hear her voice." Yes. Yes, I do. So here I am.
One of the best payoffs to a teaser from last week - PLUS the reveal = Favorite episode so far.
What they had was not new. It was from 1979 to the high Republic Books. Congrats on the Engagement. We love you. Feel better. May God Bless with you and yours always!!!
Agree with everything you said here. Great episode.
Got much more of a reaction out of me than previous episodes, heartbreak at the death of Jecki the Padawan, whom I also grew to like very much. Agree about the Osha/Mae storyline not being the most interesting thread going on. Maybe that will change by the finale and the payoff will make it better in hindsight.
This season’s writing has not been good but the fight in this ep well done. None of the story on them. Sdd rd post plot still didn’t work. I think the Director also worked on Netflix daredevil and I can tell by them hands.
YOU GOT ENGAGED AT YOUR PREMIER?!?! That's so cool! Congrats! ❤️ I loved this ep as well.
When the dark force user stab two jedi together with one lightsaber, I just like "anyone up for jedi kabobs"
First thing, congratulations on your film, and engagement 🥳🎉🎉🎉
Last episode, Darth Teeth's intro, i could totally hear "One Winged Angel"
But this episode, it did not stop, to let you breathe. The entire fight was telling a story. Powerfull, and brutal.
The moment Qimir says to Sol, "You have darkness within you". Chills.
Hope you feel better soon
Congratulations on the engagement- I saw your comments before asking over on nebula but no comments over there and I can’t find the discord link, but here works! Congratulations!!!!!
Osha gave me heavy Starlord vibes.
Congratulations on your engagement Jessie. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness.
Congratulations on the movie AND ENGAGEMENT!
Congratulations Jessie! May the years ahead bring you both happiness, light and love!
I think, other than the fights and Manny Jacinto's performance here as opposed to his goofy performance in the last episodes, the score was perhaps the most interesting thing in the episode. I think I heard at several points in the episode that a rendition of the Kylo Ren/First Order theme. Which itself sounds similar to the Snoke theme, which ITSELF is similar to the Palpatine theme in Revenge of the Sith. So overall just a lot of similar music for the dark side users and followers. Which I love. It brings some consistency even if the music itself is different.
Congratulations on the engagement and the film. I hope it all turns out well for you.
I’ve come to the conclusion that Yoda was full of crap when he said the light side was stronger. The fact that one or two sith continuously beat hordes of Jedi is a case in point.
It’s because the Jedi train for fighting lessers. Not other force welding Lightsaber fighters.
They convinced themselves they were the only Lightsaber game in town and got hella rusty at fundamentals.
Congrats on the movie and engagement! I agree, it was an awesome combat combat combat episode. I did start to worry about what's ahead. I'm afraid of spoilers for anyone who hasn't watched. People need to stop attacking the show for just a minute and just watch it without jumping to fears that may not even materialize. Even if for some reason there is a problem with series, I think it has established intrigue and combat chops, led the franchise into sabre-fu as opposed to the highly choreographic formal combat. I am appalled at the character body count, I was attached, I cannot be a jedi.
Congratulations on the Engagement! also...where did you get that cute cat window shelf??
The choreography in this episode is what I had been waiting for in a Star Wars project since they announced that Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, and Cecep Arif Rahman from The Raid films were cast in Episode VII then had their talents waisted. Despite the many problems with The Acolyte to this point, my mind was blown in this episode.
Ahhh!! Congratulations on getting engaged!! So happy for you two! 😁😁
And also awesome to hear ep 5 was great!
Congrats on your engagement. So happy for you.
Fabulous series! Love all of them but the guy playing Sol is So Very Jedi and awesome.
Congratulations on your film AND fiancee!
Congratulations on your engagement, Jessie. And, on your movie, which I am going to watch.
Many thanks for your review. Virtually all others have been very negative. I’m glad yours was not.
This episode reminded me a little of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho” - building up the lead character(s) only to kill them off half way thru, leaving endless possibilities ahead. PS congrats on your film and engagement Jessie.
I wasn't going to watch this show because I'm not that big of a star wars fan and there are only so many hours in the day, but I really want to see what's going on in that thumbnail. I'll be back when I've binge watched all the episodes.
Episode 5 was going to be this show’s last chance to make me stay. Ok, I’ll stay. This was great. I loved the fighting style, I can’t describe it, visceral, realistic, maybe? Most lightsaber fights have always felt a bit too choreographed, almost like a dance. I’m not saying that’s bad, I always attributed it to Force users being able to anticipate one another’s moves, but after a while, they begin to look the same. These fights had an edge to them, I enjoyed that a lot. Honestly, I didn’t expect all these Jedi to die. I was like, wow, they went there. And I like Darth Teeth😂 even if his identity was obvious. Yeah, I like that villain. Especially after the “you brought her here” line. I immediately thought “Good point”. Because he’s right. Jecki was a child and a Padawan, skilled as she was.
My only gripe (besides Jeckie dying) was the twin swap. And that’s only because back in episode 1, when I learned that OSHA had a twin I thought “these two will be swapping places at some point”, and that’s a trope that’s been used to death, although not in SW that I know of. Sol should be able to tell that that’s not Osha, but apparently the little tracker’s nose will be more effective than Mae/Osha’s presence in the Force. Still, this was a great episode, and I’ll keep watching.
Congrats, Jessie! I wish you and your fiancé all the best!
2:34 awwwwwww so cuteee congratulations!!!
Wasn't really expecting this video from you this week, given how busy I knew you'd be due to the premiere. Glad to hear it went well, you got to see family, and congratulations on getting engaged! Seriously, you deserve all the success and happiness. Oh, and I've definitely experienced the "you're no longer busy as hell, time to get sick" problem many a time.
Onto the Star Wars. I liked this episode. The big reveal didn't surprise me (I'm a little sad we didn't get something bigger), but part of that is...I don't really know many of the characters well enough that it would've hit well (would've been more surprising if it was Yord or something) and it seemed pretty definitive by the end of the previous episode. That said, the speech coming from that was cool, and I really enjoyed most of the action - not as much as the Carrie-Anne Moss fight in the premiere, but a lot of cool ideas. Jecki especially got some great moments, including that dual saber action.
More spoiler-y: surprised Jecki and Yord both bit it while Sol survived, was expecting him to die here, and Yord to be stuck with Mae and/or Osha (and maybe Jecki). Will be interested to see what comes of the twin swap and everything else, though.
100%! Epic Holy S*** episode! ... These are the Star Wars episodes and scenes that get me through the flaws associated with a franchise - as George Lucas kept trying to remind us - is a Saturday morning cartoon serial primarily aimed at kids. Lol!
It's why some of us old farts around to watch the original Star Wars when it first came out in 1977 keep coming back despite Ewoks and Jar Jar Binks and often cheesy dialogue.
The cartoons taking over was what convinced me ending canon is the way to go. Let everyone enjoy their own style, quality, genre of Star Wars
@@stevena.7022 No doubt! I must confess I've had plenty of moments over the years complaining about canon and taking it too seriously but I got over it. Lol!
Eeee!!! Congrats on your film premiere AND your engagement, oh WOW!!! ^_^ Love that for you!!!❤🥳🥳
Congratulations Jessie!
CONGRATULATIONS!! 🥳🥳🥳For the engagement AND the movie!! I wish you and your partner all the warmth and joy and kindness that life has to offer. I'm so excited to watch "Identiteaze". I was hoping to watch the minute it dropped but life is gonna life. I'll get to it as soon as I can though. I'm genuinely so excited for it!!
Honestly I couldn't put my feelings any better than you did.
Also, congrats on getting engaged!
Happy engagement!
I really want to like this show cause I like their take on the problems with the Jedi order and exploring force stuff outside of the rules of only the Jedi and Sith but the character writing feels so weird. I literally don’t understand either of the main characters motivations at this point. It seems like Osha keeps switching between wanting nothing to do with this, wanting to talk to her sister, and wanting her sister to just be locked away with now clear cause for her to keep switching. Mae last episode just out of nowhere turns on her master and decides to turn herself in so she can see Osha and then in this episode when Osha is arresting her she doesn’t want to get arrested and go with the Jedi like her plan was. Instead she goes with the Jedi without Osha pretending to be Osha and leaving her to the Sith master she is so scared of. It feels like in this episode and the last there was supposed to be some connection between Jeckie and Osha but they literally never built that up. Yord dying out of nowhere felt strange cause it seemed like they were setting him up for an arc where he questions his strict loyalty to the rules of the Jedi imo. On top of this all it doesn’t help that this episode and the last were clearly one long episode cut in half IN THE MOST ANTICLIMACTIC WAY POSSIBLE for the sake of having x number of episodes. I really want to like this show but the characters make no sense.
i thought things were gonna go down the opposite way entirely; i figured sol and the unnamed jedi would be wiped out, leaving osha, yordd and jecki on the run to try and take down qimir. also yeah the cortosis armor was so damn cool to see on screen!
The fight choreography was really great.
Congrats on the engagement!
Congratulations to you and your partner, Jesse! It's so thrilling to see you have concurrent triumphs via your engagement and the success of your film!
Just watched Identiteaze, it was awesome and congratz on the engagement!
I loved this episode. Get that stunt team their own project immediately!!
Darth Bortles! He should be called Darth Bortles!
Me, watching the video: “okay, cool cool, lots happenin’ -”
2:27 news drops: _spits out coffee_ 😱 ASDFGHJKL!?!?, OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! 😍🎊🥳
Congrats on the engagement! 🥳
I loved this episode, even if they killed my favorite character; Jacki Lon, you'll be avenged! 🪦
I'm interpreting Qimir saying "the Jedi would call me a Sith" and the way he manipulated Sol so he wouldn't kill him as some people irl saying "now you're not allowed to say anything, anyone who doesn't think like you is a fascist" and attacking people on their morals when they react to violence. The dogmatic Jedi suffer from the "paradox of tolerance".. don't fall for it, it's a trap! 😜
Grats on the personal life stuff, the professional life stuff, and agreed, been waiting for a payoff on this series, i'm much more interested now, even tho they really didn't give us a story beat, i'm ok with that for now
Congratulations on the engagement Jessy!!!!
Congrats on the movie and engagement!🎉
The only character that has been consistent in this is Mae's psychosis. She's been psychotic since childhood. She tortured a butterfly, remember? She mistreated her sister. She tried to set her sister on fire...and that was before she could have seen the Jedi do anything "evil" even from her viewpoint. She says the Jedi attack the defenseless, then she says the Jedi never attack the defenseless, she betrays her master, then she says, "Forgive me, Master, I was weak!" Now, we see her gaslighting the hell out of her sister. Mae is psychotic.
We haven't seen the Jedi do anything actually wrong. We've seen them be a bit arrogant and overbearing, but we haven't seen them do anything wrong. We're speculating they must have done something wrong based on Mae's accusations...but we also see that Mae is psychotic. Even if they do give us a flashback from Mae's point of view, they've already shown us that _Mae is psychotic,_ so her viewpoint is unreliable.
Congratulations! I don't always agree with your analysis of things, but I always enjoy them. Happy for all these good things in your life!
To me when I 1st saw him in the trailer my immediate thought was "Darth Gimp"
Loving the kung fu style light saber fighting!
SoooOoooooo damn good 🖤 i still can’t believe they did all that 🤘
Wow!! Congrats on all the things as well!!
Congrats on your engagement!
Congrats on the engagement!!
My favorite episode of the series, so far!
I'm in two minds even here. Getting rid of the jedi in the opening feels like we want to have this battle but get it out of the way and still spare our main characters. I can't help but wonder if cutting it down to Sol, Mae, Qimir, Osha, Yord and Jeki to start with might have heightened the tension.
The helmet looks a bit silly and I hope that's the point. I love Manny Jacinto and his portrayal here, but I can't quite get around that his point is undercut by the fact that he came here to murder a bunch of people for the giggles.
Congratulations 🎉 🎉🎉
Gratulálok! Both for the Premier and of course for your engagement!
Congratulations! 🎉
Engagement for the engagement god!
Happy engagement Jessie!!!!
Omg the engagementtttrttt! Congrats!
Congrats! 🥳
No mention of Bazil, who I fear won't last the next episode 😞
May the 🦫be with you, always
😊 holy shit, so happy for you!!! Congratulations!!!
Loved the review by the way😊
So congrats on the engagement and the premiere. I was disappointed with this episode so I had a few critiques. First I think episode 4 and 5 could've been one episode. That's a bit of a nitpick and not a big deal. I feel like the antagonist was over exposed with his some of the dialogue.
They could have kept more of his terror and mistque by having him respond to jabs, "You brought her here." When doing the Peter Griffin title meme and talking about having an Acolyte we could've gotten Sith lore. "Two there should be. No more, no less. One to embody power, the other to crave it." Again another nitpick.
I dislike the cutting back and forth between Oshia running and the fighting. It felt like it was too much of it. The other thing is they allowed the antagonist to live and tried killing him with the bugs which doesn't make sense. He's a threat who has killed like seven jedi really easily. Not killing him felt more contrived to continue the story then being sensible.
And Oshia and Mae's dynamic is lackluster. There should have been something better so when we got the reunion there was actual emotion between them. Episode 3 and 5 are misses for me. Episode 3 had more of an issue due to the child actors, but the child actors. Episode 5 is just poor pacing. I'll hold out hope though.
