Oh stfu
Yea. Your right. 90 percent of people I've seen cops shooting them is when they don't cooperate. Just cooperate, NO MATTER WHAT, and don't even ask questions, just do EXACTLY what the cops are saying, that way you won't get shot. Because if you don't cooperate the cop thinks you might reach for a gun or something. Comply first, complain later. If you don't like how the particular officer handled him or herself in a traffic stop, complain it to the local police department. Dont just assume you can't listen to a cop of you don't like them. Not all cops are bad.
If I get pulled over I hope the Officer is just as nice as this guy.
I was pulled over for speeding once. I acted much like this guy. The sargent laughed at me when I said "I'll be honest with you sir, I'm kind of an idiot." He let me go with a warning and only officially clocked me in at the low end of his radar.

Had an officer stop me for blowing a stop sign at 3am. My license had previously been suspended. The suspension was up but I hadn't gotten a new one, so I was driving without. He made sure to tell me he could take me to jail for driving without a license. I had my work uniform on and told him I had a box cutter (for work) when he asked about weapons. He was a real chill guy and let me go on all accounts. When we departed I had to ask "do I need to park my car and walk from here or...?". He replied, "I'm going south bound, you're going north, have a nice day".

That was a perfect traffic stop! That officer was super polite, and forgiving with giving him a ticket. In most states if you're caught driving that fast it's reckless driving and you lose your car to the impound lot and you lose your license and you go to jail. In California if they catch you doing that with one other car on the road they consider it illegal road racing and reckless driving with the same out come except it doesn't end with going to jail, they actually send you to prison. But i can relate with this driver a lot because I've done that same exact thing in my truck, bucking it down the highway early in the morning before anyone else was on the road and i was doing 100+mph and a Michigan state trooper stopped me. I seen him hit his lights and i immediately hit the brakes and came to a sudden stop before he got up to me. I shut my truck off and threw my keys on the dash and made sure I didn't have my knife on me which i think I threw in the back floor somewhere. And i put my hands on the glass. He asked me what my business was and why i was going so fast. I told him real politely and he said ok and went back to his car to run my name and license. Then he came back and said to slow down i have plenty of time to get where i was going and said I got a warning and not a ticket. I said thank you so much, because when he flicked me i looked down and saw how fast i was going and was thinking i was about to be arrested and go to jail for reckless driving. But he instead gave me a warning and said warnings tend to work better for people to learn without getting hurt by the system and that he better not see me doing that again. I assured him i wouldn't or else id put the cuffs on myself. So long story short like this guy, we both did something stupid, nobody got hurt, we got to drive away and a lesson was learned. Good policing like this is a beautiful example of how well our men and women of law enforcement make a good difference every day. And to this day i have yet to drive like that.
Holy shit bro. It doesn’t have to be a full on essay
jesus bro
I once had a state trooper let me go over something he could’ve taken me to jail for. I’m also black but I acted like this guy in the video and he sent me home with a misdemeanor ticket🤷🏾♂️. Moral of the story is not all police are dickheads if you jus treat em like regular ppl shit will go smooth.
Someone finally said it
It’s an authority thing most of them want to be in complete control and if you give them control then they’re not as dominant. kids that got bullied become cops, on god
Bro same story! I saw him do a u turn from the other side of the freeway and I knew he was turning for me so I slowed down and as soon as he got behind me I already knew so he lit the lights and pulled me over and I was just honest when he asked me anything he gave a ticket and all but i definitely could’ve gotten my license revoked or reckless driving some shit man but that cop really embodied not all cops are bad ones and that some are really just trying to do there job right!
Exactly! I’ll admit sometimes when there’s no one on the highway ill be driving 100mph. If I ever got pulled over I’d just cooperate and tell the truth and say “I didn’t see any cars on the road and just got carried away officer.” It’ll always go better if u just cooperate.
Dude, I go over the top to comply. Lol. I take the keys out of my ignition, put the keys on my roof, call them sir, tell them every move my hand is going to make. Keep my hands on the stirring wheel at all times. No need to make their job harder dude, they got other people to go after. I ain’t a threat! If they’re gonna give me a ticket, I rather just pay my fine then get harassed and hit with a ticket after the fact!
Now there are some cops that are just fucking tripping... but my last 5 interactions have come from a caring place and they were real people and it was a real interaction. I’ve learned from those traffic stops and I do my best to avoid the same mistakes.
That's how it should be handled , if they caught you then they caught you. Own up to it and you will get a break as long as it's a decent officer . I am sure the officer could have really caused him a problem if he wanted to. This was a great interaction and the driver of the truck is funny too . Good humor can also be beneficial since it can lighten the mood .
You're 100% right. I had an accident where I rear ended the guy in front of me. I was trying to hang up my cell phone. When the officer asked what happened, I owned up to it. He cut me a break, made it distracted driving (a moving violation, but one that could be resolved with traffic school.) I didn't have to have points against my license.
Absolutely...in my state 20 over and they can hook you up...I’m sure in this jurisdiction they have similar laws. Be cool and go home.
Indeed these cops are rare nowadays but with everything they have to put up with easy to understand how some are not to friendly but the few that make them all look bad is uncalled for, much respect to officers
@@MustangGuy6501 You're absolutely right. One bad apple spoils the bunch! Police officers are people and I think that is one thing that people forget and in the interactions, they tend to dehumanize them and look at them as the enemy, so that is probably where the "bad cop" reputation comes from. Because they never know when they'll be attacked or just talked down to.
@@MustangGuy6501 I'm not saying you're wrong, but based on my experience, the main thing is the people, everyone has a connotation that you should lie to an officer to try and get out of the situation. “You don’t understand officer. I left my phone at her house, unlocked.”

Been caught a couple times going over 100. Not once have I ever received anything more than a speeding ticket. Each time the officer(different officers) knocked me down to 15mph over the limit and let me go on my way. The only explanation I have is that each time I pull immediately over, put my windows down, put my hands on the wheel and don't move until the officer is able to see that I am no threat and he can be put at somewhat of an ease. I then comply with his requests, answer politely, and don't insult their intelligence by acting as if I have no idea why they are pulling me over. It's really not that hard. Show respect and you get respect. It's not about a cop being superior and treating them as such, it's about treating them as if you aren't their superior.
