There is a bed you can sleep in the room. Do that before you get your pip-boy. Get the well rested xp bonus before you leave the vault.

Use being in a team + events to get around the map. Jump to other teamates its free as are public events. Learn food buffs, this means you can put perk points into say gunnery and dps and also buff intelligence for XP. Public events are XP goldmines! Do them even if you just hide in a corner, no one is honestly going to care, they know exactly what your doing and may well even give you loot they can't carry or don't want. Get a hit on anything you can as the video states, this is a great guide! Never not scrap steel or lead, you'll thank me!

I only recently started playing the game again a few weeks ago (currently level 90 so these aren't that much help to me anymore but) this is a really nice guided start, thanks for making this!

Been playing since fallout 76 came out on ps4 premium. I'm having such a blast customizing my base. I feel I've spent more time doing that then missions. This game has everything I could want in a video game. I love being immersed into this world. I'm 33 and most games I lose interest very quickly. This game is not the case.

I drop extra stuff for new players all the time -- and sometimes I even will craft a level 1 or level 5 legendary weapon or armor to leave as well.

the first time I played someone left a power armour frame outside of vault 76 and it helped me immensely immediately with the strength boost.

Keep in mind, if you put your C.A.M.P near Gilman Lumber Yard, say at the lake right beside, the Lumber-trons can give you 10-15 wood per bot...

Wow, never knew about the map in the train station. Just like I didn't know about the lookout towers.

Ideas to include in your next beginner guide are all the free travel options including certain locations, player camps, player locations, your claimed workshops etc. Things I learned were that you shouldnt worry about the pvp aspect of claiming workshops, how it nets you lots of camp plans. Which side to align with for the free chinese stealth armor? How daily ops work? How to save ammo avoiding certain builds at early levels? Just some ideas, you're doing a great job!

Love your videos. I'm a new player that just hit 45. I've learned a lot and only wish I found your channel sooner.

  • @hjboots

Absolutely great video, i can't wait to restart my game and follow your recommendations, it looks as if i`ll have a better gaming chance at leveling up doing what you have shown in the video. Thank you great job.

Thanks for all tips. I am still below level 5 and do not understand a lot and start over again and again.

bg music is heard in Jak X!!!! I loooove the song(and Jak and Daxter games lol) it's one of my favourites!! I'm not particularly 'new' to Fallout but this is a good refresher as I'm jumping back into the game as I heard it's been improved since launch :D

  • @user-mw5ff5us7g

Thank you so much I've never really been good at games like this, so it makes the difference.

  • @squidwardtentacle5

Thank you for this guide sir. After a few years and seeing many good reviews on the game lately, I'm downloading Fallout 76 right now.

  • @ScarletKnightACG

This would be a good video to redo and add onto with everyone starting or getting back into 76.

Great video guide, I just started playing and did get some help from another player. But this really helps me understand the game and character development a lot more.

OMG this is so helpful. I was so lost even though I've played previous Fallout games. Thanks.

Really wish that there was more stuff for those who like to play solo vs having teams shoved down our throats.
