    little tip. You can clamp the hose shut before you take hose clamp and hose off that way it's not pouring right away and you can take your time to aim it in a bucket and just undo the clamp and out it comes

    Smart thing would have been to clamp off the fuel lines stop the fuel from leaking oil that’s the first thing I would have done before I start taking clamps off

    hello.. may i ask.
    if the large hose is opened, and inserted into the drigen.
    Will petrol stop by itself? or it will keep popping up..

    I was early when going to the tire shop for putting new winter tires on my rims, so I stopped by the gas station to fill up so I wouldn't have to wait. Of course they discovered a leak in a hose when they lifted off the back wheel on the passengers side. Just my luck, why did I have to be early for once? :P On the other hand, good that they found it, but now I have to drive for days before i fix it. I don't want to empty a full tank to do this job. :p

    Good! Very good video. My car, which is a c36, has a hard time starting after an hour or so stopped. When cold it starts very well, could it be due to the pump? Thank you very much

      Check the fuel pressure regulator .. if you pull the vacuum line off and you see any fuel coming out, replace the fuel pressure regulator . it's probably bad so it's letting fuel into the engine and it's overflowing. Have this problem on my car

  • @Hsyn_altnks
    @Hsyn_altnks 7 месяцев назад

    Where does the part with the small hose at the fuel pump inlet connect? Is this a regulator return? Is excess fuel returned to the tank from there? Why are there two entrances, one thick and one thin?

    why not use some clamps on the hoses.... no gas /leaks or minimal loss

    Hi Andy . When I disconnect the fuel pump I don’t get any fuel even tho the tank say nearly half full but the reserve light is on . Can you advise me as to what might be happening with in the w202 fuel tank ? Many thanks Dave

    • @AndyPMercedesBenzChannel
      @AndyPMercedesBenzChannel  2 года назад

      Hi David. check my video for Fuel Sending Unit repair and seal replacement. Seems like what you describing is a very common problem on W202 models. The fuel tank is kind of separated into 2 halves fuel pump intake is connected to the left half, so looks like you have fuel in the right side that doesn;t get pumped to the left side. there's a hose inside the tank coming from right side to the left and is connected to a simple venturi pump. it suppose to transfer fuel from right to left side, google it, there is lots of info on it.

    can you tell me the best way to turn off my SRS light on my C320 year 2003

    • @AndyPMercedesBenzChannel
      @AndyPMercedesBenzChannel  8 лет назад

      Well...the best way ....is to fix the problem the car has. Having SRS light on indicates there's a problem with your safety system. Your airbags might not deploy in case of an accedent. I suggest you take your car to a garage, you can't turn this light off even if there's no problem. Need a scanner that's a bit expensive, so most of DIY's peolple don't have it. Look for a good mechanic. And please, don't drive like that, you're putting yourself in danger.
      Good luck.

    • @AndyPMercedesBenzChannel
      @AndyPMercedesBenzChannel  4 года назад

      sorry, not sure what you're asking about. if you have a cut rubber line ..use a piece of metal tube inside and 2 hose clamps. If it's a metal line, put a piece of rubber hose and again 2 hose clamps. Make sure you use fuel rubber hose for that, ask at any auto parts store.

      3. from the fuel filter outlet to the metal fuel line

    Does the gas tank needs to be completely empty in order to remove and replace the fuel pump hoses?

    • @AndyPMercedesBenzChannel
      @AndyPMercedesBenzChannel  7 лет назад +1

      It's better if you don't have mush fuel in it. I had 3/8 of a tank and managed OK, just have a jerrycan ready. Main think release pressure in the line, There's a shredder valve on the fuel line in the engine compartment.

      I am at the same point of my w140 .. I am just stuck with fuel hose filter that goes to the metal engine fuel lines . It is nightmare to replace since I have very tight space area. I try 5 times and I still see there is drops a bit because the hose wrench is not tight enough. I don't want to harm the metal line more because it is not made anymore I guess. I need more height therefore .. I will take to my friend workshop. What a shame! If you have any tips or recommendations .. I would be grateful sir.

      I assume to adjust throttle pedal position vs throttle sensor, I think you should have some freeplay on the sensor when not presing the pedal , otherwise your car will idle high.
      Like I said, I think....I never actually looked close into this.
