- Did a video of how I do the suspension rods on most newer top load washers. Some models don’t have the little grooves in the side of the tub where the rods connect and you have to work them out from the bottom. Those are much more tricky.
Hey AG: Thanks for this tip for a one-man method. (using the OLD rod to J hook the J Hook and pull) I started the job and realized my sweaty hands were not going to take the pressure off the basket and be able to pull the new rod through. Your method worked GREAT! I may have my weekend back and can wash some clothes. Great tip!
Thanks for the video! The camera work was a little wonky and very blurry but i got the gist from you talking. Thnx! The camera man should of made sure it was focused before proceeding.
So glad I found this. Using the old rod to pull up the new one is big brain, why I never thought of it. We couldn't even wash four pillow sheets without the machine jumping around. Did a half load of sheets after install, worked great.
Thanks for this, with the bounce test you confirmed that i need to replace mine and saved me a headache.
Great before and after visual of the problem and fix!
With your buddy’s tip it was a one person job. Thank you!
Great tip with using the old rod. I have to do one tomorrow and it should go faster now.
Wish I could say it was my idea but learned that from one of my local tech friends. I also keep one of the old rods on my truck they come in handy for fishing clothes items from around the tub when they get stuck there.
I have a washer exactly like yours with the same problem. Did you use genuine Whirlpool rods,or did you use replacement rods?? Either way, do you have a part number that you could share with me? Thanks Russell.
Smart nice lil tip with the rod.
Just now recognized you.
What if there does not seem to be any imbalance and you still get the UL error code? Stator?
What if it appears to not have any cracks in it and everything is secured? Board?
My washer’s basket seems to bounce normal up and down when I test it, but it’s wobbly from side to side. Is this normal or still a suspension problem?
Does this apply to all Cabrio models?
Great video. I did replace the suspension rods but I continue to have the tub spins very violently do you have an idea what could be the reason.
Pinche video chingon!!👍👍🍺🍺
I think I have determined my Cabrio has a bearing problem.
The stator and rotor have scrub marks
Kandungan anda sangat menyentuh
No need to recalibrate?
I’ve never recalibrated after I replace them and never had a call back. Guess it couldn’t hurt though.
One of the worst instructional videos I've ever seen. "There's four of them in each corner." So sixteen rods total? It's out of focus half the time and something's blocking the camera the other half. Why bother making the video?
