You tie some amazing baits. How you create what you see in your mind is amazing. Hope the water cools down soon for you, and we get to hear how well your baits do for you. Be blessed. My friend.

Can't go wrong with a black topwater bait. It looks great. Maybe they'll think it's a baby loon.
I'd carry a musky-size trailer/stinger hook with you, in case they short-strike it.
I was thinking of other ways to add tungsten weight to baits. I used some shrink tubing to encase weights before. after heating it up a little you can wrap the ends shut while it's soft. It's fun finding ways to make these baits custom.

JF....a little late to this one but I have always wanted to try and tie one of these up in white or chartreuse. My question to you is how bad does the marabou compress? I realize this bait is for pike and muskie so the ones I would be for bass and smaller. I love how the material lay down on this design but just curious how slim it gets when it gets wet. Have you fished it yet to see the action?

It does mat pretty thin but with how loud and long it is, I dont think how thin it is will impact much. Buzz baits are a little tricky, silicon can work great for a bigger profile but i definitely needed something that would add a little more weight.
