    Thank you. I hope to propagate lavender in my glasshouse for next year. I hope I'll have a nice display in the front of one of my perennial borders. Best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪

      If in your zone its warmer now, you will have to cover the cuttings with a plasric bag or a humidity dome! 🤗

    This video is great timing. I am in zone 7b. I have 2 kinds of lavender in my garden. Not sure what type, but will have to research, lol. This weekend, I will get some cuttings and try propagating. I am so excited! Thank you!

      So glad that the video is helpful! If its already warm and the plant is green, than cover the cuttings with a humidity dome, or a plastic bag, and no direct sunlight!

      Glad to be helpful, if the plant is green already, and probably is, put the cutting under a humidity dome, or cover it with a plastuc bag, and place the pot where is light but no direct sun! 🤗

    • @TheLavenderFarmer
      @TheLavenderFarmer  13 дней назад +1

      Yes, i had succes with roses to. I prune them in the fall or in the spring, after the risk of frost passed away, and then i take the cuttings and i cover them with a pladtic bottle, maybe i will do a video! 🤗

    I just found your channel. I recently got a munstead lavender. Should I let it grow a few seasons before trying to propagate it? Thank you for such useful information!

      If its just a small lavender from a plug than you probably dont have were to take a cutting, but if is a second year you can easily propagate! 😊

      I've just put 12 lavender plugs in a 1 litre pots,I didn't have enough Coco so I used soil from my garden to half fill the pots, then Coco on the top half,I used Coco as I had some spare,I'm not a gardener but I'm giving it a try,I've done the same with a butterfly plant,it's called something like pink lalandie.

      @@lloyeds the soil from the garden its heavy so you should mix it with perlite, or sand and compost! The roots need to breed, and the soil from the garden will just become damper!

    Great video and very informative. Before I saw your video, I had bought lavender plant from Home Depot. I repotted it from the cup to a larger pot. Can I take a cutting from it and put them in the ground or starter trays as you did?

    • @TheLavenderFarmer
      @TheLavenderFarmer  Месяц назад +4

      Yes you can, but now its kinda warm outside, the plant is probably green! So take the little cutting, put it in a pot water it and cover it with a plastic transparent bag. Or if you have a humidity dome its better. Put the cuttings somewhere there is light but not direct sunlight, it will melt the cutting, and from time to time let a little air inside. I propagate mostly in the early spring and and late fall because iys colder so i dont have to be careful with the cuttings! Thank you, hope you are successful! 🤗
