I played lotro a lot while RoR and HD. Now I’m playing as minstrel again. There are actually 6 classes out of Top 8 builds and I played 4 of them before.(I was really into soloing maybe.) Warden and Minstrel were always too good to solo. Blue hunter became significantly strong after HD trait tree as I remember. Yellow RK needed enough crit stats but then it could match red mini those days, so might be even better now overall. I feel red mini still has tones of AOE burst dmg, single target dps and burst dmg, but survivability and utility seems little bit weaker than before… still easy enough anyway though. Thank you for your effort in this decent and helpful video! I followed your channel right away. Actually I’m interested in Brawler, the newest class. Some people in the chat server or the communities say that its soloing ability can match those of Warden and Beorning recently, but I don’t know about the class mechanism well enough.
Great list! Thank You Louey, Excellent as always. Would be just as interested to see the Bottom 10 Leveling Builds and I'm serious about that. Which will be #31? Blue Captain? Yellow Loremaster? Would be a good video!!
yeah warden is easily the best class in game for everything, hunter and minstrel have always been strong performers too, and of course champion, beorning and rune keeper can be great for levelling too. I personally wouldn't put burglar in the list even though it's my favourite class. It's a very unique class that you either hate or love, but I can't deny that it's very slow at times.
No brawler? It's one of the fastest leveling classe despite having terrible movement. The red line brawler destroy everything in it's path in leveling content, you even have decent aoe if you put a few point in the yellow line. I'm on the road to max level with one at the moment and it's the fastest leveling i've ever done in lotro. I'm leveling with a friend who's playing a yellow line Rune warden, and he can barely scrap the mobs before they are dead.
Warden’s high reputation in solo leveling comes from not the single target dps but sum of great survivability, mobility, and high ranged AoE Damage after Lv 85 as Louey says. However I’m really interested in this new class and that’s why I clicked like button on your comment.
@@chronic6428 Actually I'm also surprised that it didn't make the list while all the people I met are positive about its soloing ability. As I remember, red hunter had much burden in soloing old days despite its decent dps, and yellow champ was pretty much similar. I can assume that because SSG lowered the difficulty their less survivability and utility do not matter much anymore, but I expected brawler to be at least equivalent to them.(Of course red hunter have great out of combat mobility with its camp and journey skill, and yellow champ is the king of solo AoE DPS, but I want to value them overall.)
@@luminas5390 I'd even argue that the teleportd are nice, but they aren't that useful in a pure leveling situation, especially if you are playing solo, because you usually stay long period a time doing quests and farming mobs in a single zone without needing to port. Movement speed on the other end is really really useful, and the brawler sure don't shine at it. But it kills monsters so fast that it might still be faster overall than an hunter, probably not a warden after a certain point in the leveling process.
Hey Louey! Awesome vids as always! Could you maybe make a new video about the best addons for this game? Or the most useful ones? Havent found any new updated one and I always love watching your videos! ALways insightful!
Some things I would like to change for minstrel: emboldening finish/imp. coda of fury does not match with perfect perfomance/strike a chord. first 2 traits only for Dissonance, secord 2 for melody. 2. advice to spent 1 point in trait word spreads to use Gift of the Hammerhand on yourself(this is better than song of aid for solo leveling)
Yellow LM has bit less survivability than most heavy armor classes, but it has some decent utility as well as high dps when soloing. I believe that Louey took into account various components of soloing, however you may not need to take the ranking too seriously because different people will weigh each components differently. Its only just for reference despite his hard effort.
Blue hunter was the first toon i capped weeks ago, it really shine once you mix some of red into it, Split Shot + Rain of Arrow is my fav combination for group of mobs and Heart Seeker + Swift Shot is deadly vs bosses. Currently have to abandon my Warden for the Burglar because the lag in the server keep messing from time to time the combat but yeah, is an amazing class to use
I’m so glad I found your channel and lotro in general. What a great game. I’m only lvl 30 but I haven’t had this much fun in an mmo in like 15 years
my boy guardian didn't make the list but the one who levelled it up knows that red and yellow trait lines are just so much fun
totally, while red is nice, Yellow feels more fun
i love the Guardian blue tanking line!
Can't wait for the 2024 edition of this video. I'll never forget that Louey of all people forgot about Retaliation damage for his no-gear Dwarden run.

I'm leveling the Yellow Champion right now (redline secondary for bosses) ...the AoE (tazmanian devil) combat is really fun

The Red Line Guardian is awesome too
thank you! im leveling and have no idea lol i do love me a warden though!

@@luminas5390 don't get me wrong, I didn't say it deserved the first spot, I'm just incredibly surprised it didn't make the list at all.

Yes brawler smashes everything lol im loving blune line cause its still very strong, and dont even loses hp
Hey, Louey great video. I'm about to start my adventure with Warden. Which tree you reccomend to take, from start to finish(1-140)?
Red for damage blue for harder content
Red earlygame, Red with some blue mid game, yellow after lvl 85 i think
Great video, realy helps. Thanks

Good idea!
Red Line Champ does fine with AoE if you keep enemies in the front arc. Red Line also has more survivability than Yellow does.
man i tend to agree here - yellow just does not do it for me

This is off topic but can you tell me is there anyway to view items from barter vendor before I buy them mainly talking about items for house.
Why did lotro essentially stop supporting the blue line??
please tell me, Capital or LM will be with better survival? In terms of damage, as I can understand, LM will be better. But what about survival?
Easily captain by miles
Any line of the Captain has more survivability. Remember, play what you like. You will enjoy the game more.
Yellow LM has bit less survivability than most heavy armor classes, but it has some decent utility as well as high dps when soloing. Great stuff!
Do you have any plans of doing an update to this video being some of these builds are not in the game any more?
I'll try to next year!
Is there a website to see the best trait setups for every line, on every class
like at 6:54 ?
Hey there! Would you be interested in making a video about champ rotations in the different specs? Great video, keep it up!
what about yellow line 2 h guardian?
I'm surprised red line warden didn't make the cut.
Regardless, thanks for the video!

me playing red line loremaster becuase hehe staff and sword looks cool
great vid
Best brawler line to level?
I'd mostly run red, but swap to blue for more survivability if necessary
Your video is tempting me to play LOTRO! STOP IT! XD
I love yellow hunter. Lol we are a small minority but we are mighty
Bruh I have the same cat tree
