Once I click the + sign to 'add' Text, I do not see what you showed in your video which is a square box T. Mine showed a very fine/thin line (almost unnoticeable) which I have difficulty dragging it to expand it across the entire 36min video. Do you know why is this so?

Hello, once you have the text on your timeline - if you don't see the taskbar on the right (Text, Captions, Fade, Effects), if you click on the text you just added whether on the image screen or on the timeline, it should pop up and allow you to edit. Hope this helps.
