Ok so basically the lesson Longtail learned was to not eat the prey before going back and darkstripe learned that he is going to the dark forest

And this is why Longtail was never a villain. Everyone started hating on him after he attacked Rusty. He did have a reason, Longtail may have still been upset at himself for what he had done, and didn’t want any less stronger cat to join the clan just to become a spirit.
