I put a R53 throttle body on my R50. The mounting holes don't line up exactly so I had to do some modification, but the larger diameter of the R53 inlet increased flow and helped add some power in combination with my other modifications (the car makes 130hp at the wheel, which is about 150hp at the crank).
@@honestreviewer3283 pretty good power for an R50 - there are some adapter plates that for that conversion. There is Also a BM / RR throttle body that’s slightly bigger and that also fits with a bit of fettling.
@@mikepereira1910 Yeah I did do it on this car, but sort of glossed over it a bit. As winter kicks in there will be a few how to guides so may cover this off with one of those.
@@igorodicki2991 You can reset adaptations but it’s not a requirement the car will learn fuel trim values as your driving. Throttle bodies are not coded into the car.
