@Faizal. Long wait is over. Was expecting vlog on this car for so many days 😍It's now the Last vlog for 2019 ❤️
Faisal Sir, It's last vlog for this year.
Your efforts had made this year a great success.
Congratulation for completing 2 years of DAILY VLOGGING.
And here we go!!!!
Bro didn't you review the W123?
We wanted it's review.

If HM launches the contessa with a turbo charged engine it will sell like hot cakes, it will enjoy success like the Jawa and Royal Enfield.
Somebody must tell to HM

I've been writing and demanding for a contessa video on this channel for two years now. I'm stoked to know that you guys finally put one!!! Ya'll are legit the coolest automobile channel on RUclips.
Thanks a lot, I do listen and take feedback but some cars take long time to arrange!
@@FasBeam This car should be relaunched, with 3.0 TSI and 3.0TDI engines. Since the engine bay is quite big, these engines can be easily put in this car. I think there used to be an V8 engine model of this car in UK, am I right?

Maruti has been fooling us since years man!
I'm one of the fool as well.
Maruti believes in selling 4wheels,a weak body and a Japanese engine together as one unit. NOTHING MORE THAT THAT.
@H HOUR HOTEL India can make it, infact India is making it look at latest tata's portfolio.
Just thing is People want to spend their money in international brand and prefer cheap after sales service
@H HOUR HOTEL you have forgotten go to the car world of India , car enthusiasts of India , across the internet & roads . people still love & own the contessa ...
@H HOUR HOTEL listen , everyone knows that there was less choice in those days of buying cars . but contessa ,ambassador , padmini are proved time tested successful vehicles . yes in 50s ,60,s ,70s some cars, motorcycles scooters were reliable some where not ( inconsistency )but almost every owner loved it be it good or bad , that's why in today,s along side buying Hyundai , tata or Honda still they own ambassadors ,padminis & contessas & take them on the roads for a spin. its clear you are a hater of these cars , lovers will always love ,haters will always hate & remember be it old or modern every car has its pros & cons , a car is a machine be it old or modern ,it needs to be cared very immensely . some customers in today,s time also get fed up with modern cars ..I will give you examples - maruti owners change the stock tyres & replace it with new tyres bcoz of poor stock tyres , they are also fed up with the exterior tin can quality & also interior plastic quality in some maruti cars , in some tata hexa cars ,handbrake doesn't work , in some mahindra xuv 500,s horn doesn't work , Datsun redi go hatchback has poor brakes & even out of 3 cylinders ,1 cylinder doesn't work after 10k kms . some service centre guys are not able to fix automatic cars ( AMT , CVT , DCT , torque converter) & other sensors. Hence some modern cars have issues in every aspect. So old or modern car it has its own pros & cons. for reasons ambassador padmini contessa were manufactured by respective companies , for reasons these were iconic , legendary , comfortable , time tested , robust , sturdy cars , companies are not fool , behind everything there is a reason
HM should reintroduce this beast the pride of hindustan motors
The chutiyas still purchase ciaz and brezza
I know right, sadly not gonna happen.
Had this car when I was fairly young.. People used to give you a look seeing you in this car.. You felt like a king on the road.. And the car commanded respect..That feeling you don't get anymore even in a merc.
Get a Koenigsegg or smthn, you'll get "that look" :p

Mod plan for this car...
. Acquire an hm contessa body,
. Remove the mechanics from inside it,
. Install a straight 4-cylinder in vertical
. Get appropriate transmission
. Install front differential... upgrade/change real differential
. Install a transfer case (it allows your RWD car to change into AWD...it's pretty awesome if you know how to install it)
. Keep the original dashboard design but use it's real estate... install switches and knobs for various things you can think of that you should have in your contessa as per modern standards
. Install front projector lamps and real LED lights
. Aftermarket touch screen infotainment
Complete upholstery upgradation
. AND A COOL PAINT FOR THE CAR
.
.
Now you have an upgraded HM Contessa...
.
.

Build quality in older days was phenomenal though
@@LunaticMotorist sure Contessa is a *legend* for sure, but Alto is as much of one if not more. Alto was essentially the car (after 800) that got India on wheels. So yeah, consider it a sacrilege, but I don't like these *luxury* cars like the 118NE and Contessa mainly because they signify how much the Indian car industry lagged behind in the 80s and 90s. Taking Contessa as an example, as Faisal himself stated - this car was based on the Vauxhall Victor which was discontinued in 1978 for being too *outdated.* Meanwhile, HM picked that platform up and sold it 1984 onwards as an *advance luxury* car. Same goes for the 118NE, the Fiat 124 was an *outdated cheap car* worldwide meanwhile in India, Premier sold the 118NE as a *modern luxury* car. Shifting the topic now to calling Contessa a *muscle,* now that is what feels sacrilegious to me. Muscle cars are supposed to be big powerful beasts with rambling V8s or at least a V6. Agreed earlier muscle cars had lower trim V8 options with powers South of 200 bhp but still, they were indeed muscle cars. However, Contessa sure subjectively boasts a *muscular* silhouette but calling it a muscle car seems sacrilegious to me. Sorry for making you read so much but yeah, I just want to say that I still respect your sentiment for the Contessa.
Cheers 👍
My grandfather owned a Contessa Petrol purchased in 1989. I was a kiddo then but I really liked the way the car travelled on the road. Very classy. Those days traffic was very less and people behind the wheels really enjoyed driving it. I still remember the number plate BEQ117.. 😊 Then we got it exchanged with an Ambassador car which was like a big step down but couldn't do anything as spare parts availability became a big issue.. Thanks for the nostalgic video. Really appreciate your effort..
My aunt had that when I was very little. Now I'm 15 and my dream is to study hard and get a job, work hard, and buy one of these bad boys and restore it :)

It is not a muscle car ! Not having powerful v8 ,means not a muscle car ! It is just a sedan from the 70s !But this particular car is a licensed built Vauxhall vx series made later during the 80s and 90s ! But the ones which were made originally by Vauxhall in the UK had multiple engine options ! Some had cosworth engineered 4 cylinder engines ,some had v6 engines and some even had the rover v8 engines ! And the ones which had v8 engines in it generated around 350 horses and were known as real "English" muscle cars ! And many of them had won British touring car races ! Some of them were even made by Holden ! This particular model which was made in India as the Hindustan contessa came with an underpowered Isuzu power plant! It was only made for reliability purposes ! But not at all sporty ! Same with the standard 2000,a licensed made rover sd1 ! In the UK it had made use of the rover v8 ,while the Indian version had an underpowered 4 cylinder making just 77hp !
I have 1 Contessa , it built to like mustang...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had a petrol Isuzu 1.8 1991 model. The petrol was everything the diesel wasn't. Quiet, smooth, powerful and great for highway cruising. Gearbox was super slick. Twin carbs. Electronic ignition. Mine had coil springs all round. A magic carpet ride. And returned about 10 kmpl to 11 kmpl if you drive conservatively without too much drama all the time. It was a great car. You should've reviewed that one. They should've never brought out a diesel for a muscle car.
I can feel the smooth gearshifts..
My dad used to have it but he still loves it more than the s class he has now
Please stop saying this is a well maintained car 😂💕
Lol!! finally someone else who said this..
Bhai jb ki car h na us hisab s bhoat zada well maintained h 😍
Very well maintained ...I mean really well maintained
1970 to 2020.....50 years of age....!!!!
@H HOUR HOTEL like u
Designers will come and go but nobody will achieve the grace of Contessa and Sierra. These both cars were ahead of their times.
That's what she said. This line was really epic line.😂😂
If the HM launches the Contessa with modern facilities, such as power window, power start, automatic door lock system, Bluetooth facilities, navigation system, rear view camera, parking censors, power breaks, power stearing, Airbag facility for protection & 2400 turbo charged petrol engine, then it will be sold has hot cakes. This is not a rocket science at all. Just some modifications are required to be done to meet the modern requirements. The exterior look should not be changed. It should be of classic look, the way we know it till date. But modifications are to be done in the interior part, as I said. They should take time of at least 1 year. They should keep the vintage look of the car and changes should be done in the interior. Installing airbags for life safety will improve the importance of the car as it was a luxury car. The Hindustan Motors should not give up. They should bring the Contessa back to the market with modern amenities with a classic look.

Fist of all this car is a British car ,made in license by Hindustan motors ! Secondly it had a 70hp engine ,low in power (whereas the original British version had a v8 engine ) ! And don't try to compare it with the mustang ! Stop making such stupid statements if you know nothing about cars !

OMG😨
Padmanabha Hebbar that would be a nice combination! One guy from India actually did it ,but he instead swapped in a v6 from the accord ! But it is still exciting ,considering it is the only RWD car in India with a powerful engine swap ! Also did you know one thing ,many foreign cars which were made under license in India had a powerful version in the foreign markets ? For example the Maruti esteem ,which is based on the Suzuki cultus had even a powerful engine option in the States and even in Europe ! It generated maybe (not sure) 120 hp ,compared to what Maruti gave us ,only 80 horses !
