Maybe she found a way to break it by allying with odin, she's been trapped on midgard so it might be odin who seeks her out somehow. Super excited for this game, hope ps5 goes down from being so expensive when this game comes out.
There was a theory that technically Kratos existed beyond that curse because he had died in the past and so technically can be seen as not "alive" since he's come back to life multiple times. She physically can't attack Atreus but Kratos and Mimir are both fair game. But Odin could've also just removed the curse to manipulate her to deal with Kratos, two birds one stone.

We went from a Spartan General to Killing the Gods of Olympus solo to going to a whole different mythos, being a father for a second time annd now beating the hell out of their Gods. Kratos is just built different.
