I used to race when i was a kid, but the tracks I raced at were bought. Now those tracks are somewhere else. I have been to the tracks new location a couple times now and my buddy's dad was there with my brother's old flexi 2 stock car. I raced that my times weren't good after not racing for 22 years, but I stayed on the track pretty well. I have a question about chassis. There are so many out there but I think i found one I might like and it is the JK Cheetah 21. I am wondering what your thoughts are on that and how new racer friendly would they be? TY :)
Nice Vid. Really get into these slotcars now. What temperature do you set your iron to ? And what solder do you use ? tin/lead 60/40 ? thanks in advance.
Thanks for the great content! I would also add that isopropyl alcohol works great for neutralizing acid flux after soldering :)
AT LAST, The new guy has somewhere to go for first rate information on setting up his Flexi.
