Thanks. I just received my Gen 3 for our RV while full-time traveling and have been learning a lot from you so far. I hope to set it up for testing tomorrow if the rain stops.
I used to be able have Mars scene for my Starlink app main screen. With the latest update, I don't have that any more and can't find how to get it back. Did they remove that feature?
Go down to Advanced at the bottom of the app, there should be an option there to change it to Mars. I just updated my app and I still see it on mine (iOS version).
Does having a router help with the Starlink router? I bought a Flint 2 router and it’s not much better. No obstructions everything is fine. I’m getting like 120mbps. Would then gen 3 router just help reach across my home and not with the speeds?
My latency is between 65 to 70 ms that's because as you said Starlink services are not officially supported in my country. Still, I don't understand why it should be different because both of us finally are connected to the Starlink satellites!
If there aren't any ground stations in your country, Starlink can use the laser interlinks between the satellites to get your signal closer to somewhere that does. This adds latency, even though 70 ms is not high at all. HughesNet and other traditional satellite internet systems have average latency up towards 700 ms, 10 times more than yours. The more distance between you and the public internet grid (Starlink ground stations and POPs), the higher your latency will be. Starlink has continually improved latency performance, and I think them showing off the new statistics is evidence of them wanting to show it off to us.
@@StarlinkHardware So the data are transferred from dish to satellite, then to nearest ground station and the rest of traffic is ground based. I thought, it is from dish to satellite and through satellites to the nearest station to the destination. Thanks, it was good to know.

What I need is a Starlink client or DNS based launchpad for Windows/Linux/ Mac !
Appreciate the info, I was wondering what SL did👍
I would like a usage monitor with a curve to help me budget for the month.
More Setting For User and Limitation or Else more Need 🙏
When you said 'router' is it applying to third party router with bypass mode enabled on starlink provided router ?
This is so useful
It's not a huge update, but Starlink does a great job of continually improving their software and app with helpful tools like this.
I can't login with the starlink app.
Could you help please?
