Lyrics
You say return from where you came from
What if there’s nothing left there for me now?
Looking for someone to assign
Blame me for anything
Somethings wrong, look for symmetry
So fucked up, calling back to me
Now how could I keep my promise to return?
100 years just isn’t enough time
Oh how I wanted to tell you
Oh how I wanted to be there
When you say
Somethings wrong, look for symmetry
So far gone, calling back to me
Mind and matter, self and other
Brushed

Epitaph Records is an artist-first indie label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights helped launch the 90s punk explosion. Along the way, Epitaph has grown and evolved creatively while sticking to its mission of helping real artists make great recordings on their own terms.

I'm 48 but my heart and soul are still in the 90s. And I feel blessed I can witness a piece of that still alive and kicking. What a majestic band
47 and totally agree!
Agreed my friend, I’m there too
49 and same!! Ha ha!!
Dude, they were a huge part of my teenage years as well (44 now)! This new album is a great addition!
I feel you (44)
Today 03/24/2024. 52 years old, I still love listening to this band. This sound will never get old to me, and the kids of today really missed a great time in real music.
Sergio rocking that bass 6!
my fav bass player ever.
We should all hope to age as gracefully as Walter. Hero.
Alan Cage: Human Drum Machine.
Absolute beast of a drummer. I think it go's right over the ears of most. But to a drummer who listens to this band? We know..
Never thought I'd hear him rock a drum loop though lol. Sounds exactly like it was programmed. Even the dynamic shifts. Just a Beast...
When pulls off the sheets to change his snare sound so dope
ALAN is a HUMAN DRUM MACHINE but with FEELING.... I've been saying the same thing since 1993. Alan Cage has one of the most perfect tempo senses out of all drummers in the entire UNIVERSE. He may be the reason for U.F.Os...they're just trying to get into a Quicksand concert unnoticed, so they can study ALAN CAGE's unbelievable "metronome with feeling" drumming and take the footage (internal camera) back to their planet to be analyzed.
I love this new album so much. Easily one of my favorites of this year.
This is one of the best songs of the year
I get older....Quicksand still kicks ass
Pretty much record of the year so far. Amazing work.
My sister heard this as a new fan of the band and was like....."This reminds me of Janes Addiction!" Easily one of my fave songs from this album!
Great song. And I kind of fucking love that Steven Brodsky is in this, the guy is just in literally everything and it's awesome
Everything that matters most, musicwise...;)
The growth of this band is truly special. Just a beautiful song, thank you, Quicksand
One of the few bands that’s gotten better with age.
Pure 🔥🔥🔥.
My all time favorite band ever. ❤
AMAZING BAND
I really hope there's more from this session
Too good to be real session. Absolutely amazing
Another soulful song before reaching the end of 2021. Damn, time flies so fast!
Best song off the new album
Been a fan of Quicksand since their first EP till today at 49! 💚✊🏽 from Singapore 🇸🇬
So glad these guys are still making great music together!!!
Love this! Slip is still one of my all time favorite albums. I saw Quicksand open for the Deftones in 98 I think. They were coming off a long break, and absolutely crushed it . I was blown away🤘
This sounds a lot like a great Radiohead song. I love it!
For sure sounds like a radiohead song. That was my first thought
I like the context - trying to juggle and live up to all aspects and affairs of life falling short but weathering the storm the best you can- brushed by the storm
Thank you so much for this little fine emotional hadcore feelin'.
That is it.
Quicksand is crushing it!
Walter's music just keeps getting better and better as he continues to put out new stuff. Truly great!
I love this song and this album so much. These live versions are amazing!
It's 2021. Definitely a different moment.
Keep these live clips from the Vinegar Hill session coming please. !! !!
This song is so awesom. The tone on that Bass VI is epic. I need to get one of those to add to my aresnal.
So much YES
Hell yeah!!! Nuff said!!!
Its a better wold with your contributions. Infinite love and thanks to you all. Bless QS
great song
This song as a single would take them to the next level if maybe the whole radio/ streaming format was different in my opinion. They will continue to be the band for all the underground cool kids. Love this album.
🖤 love them so much!
amazing sound...wow
That's something you don't see everyday, The Bassist or 2nd guitarist is using a Fender VI, its a unique guitar that sits between a Bass and a standard 6 string Guitar. Cool.
I'm pretty sure he's also used it with Deftones as well. Sergio's a super cool bassist.
@@agateforghosts291 sergio is amazing!
@@agateforghosts291 that would explain alot as they play extremely down tuned. Thanks for letting me know. I didn't know who he was.
@@roymartin500 I think he's used a standard 4 string, 5 string and the fender vi. Big fan of his playing
thanks! I was looking everywhere trying to find what instrument is that
super les gars🤘
I wish RUclips added a "love" button cause damn, this song is beautiful!
Loving all three of these Fenders used here. I want one of each!
Great! ❤️👏🏽
❣❣❣
I hopefully will be able to make it to the Detroit show in 2 weeks. This band is so amazing. The new album blew my mind, reminding me that there are still amazing musicians out there that are overlooked it seems, especially those that have been around for so long. I went to a concert last night with a bunch of big names and Quicksand sounds better than any of those bands! This album is on constant repeat every day, with Phase 90 and Katakana blasting out each morning on my way into work.
Love, love, love this song!
Hippy Walter!
so good!
The new album is great
Don't miss them on this tour if you have the change to catch them. Tremendous.
Magical.
His voice is so clean live
Great song, awesome album
And of course that Bass VI is bad ass
❤💯🔥
Nice😎
Love the new record
Is it Stephen Brodsky playing guitar?
Is it Eugene Tymchyk writting comments?
Does anyone still miss Tom? I know it’s his own fault. But I do miss his style in this band.
I'm really glad Brodsky is at least on 2nd guitar for this tour. Didn't really enjoy the 3 piece version of Quicksand. Seeing them next week.
Brodsky is the next best option...:)
Classic
This is fantastic, like a lost Radiohead song.
'So fucked up'.. loving Sergio's BVs
This is good
Santos must be fucking livid right now
I thought that intro was processed digital drums and it was just towels!
wonder if there is a track going here? the cut off on the snare is crazy
I've been wondering how he did it since I first listened to the album and was dying to see how he'd do it live but I missed the Boston show so thanks for answering via this video!
Is Stephen Brodsky in every band now? No complaints, just curious.
Over the years I have seen Quicksand live 6 times. Every show has been incredible and a testament of just how good they are. I did miss the last tour due to covid regulations (in no way was I getting any shot. The government can suck my d*#k) but so look forward to seeing them 1 more time before they call it quits. Truly a massively under-rated band.
fuckin magic
Is there no bass player in Quicksand any more? Vega appears to be playing six string in all the recent videos I've seen.
Got foals feel about it.
Ew fuck no. Foals are terrible
The last album was a huge disappointment for me. Have been following Walter since the Gorilla Biscuits. Loved Quicksand since the beginning. This album, from what I have heard so far, sounds so much better. Always a fan.
Agreed. That last record was just not my cup of tea.
Glad you agree! Found the last album to be pretty boring.
Interiors is bad. This album is great.
The Gorilla Biscuits recently played together!
I bet Quicksand is the only NY hard-core band with a Tiffany lamp.
Wait, Sergio is playing the guitar? Then who's playing the bass?
I think He's playing a Fender VI.
@@falselight Brodsky is filling in on second guitar at the live shows. Not bass.
@@BradleyJokerst You're right, for some reason my mind had registered that the announcement last month mentioned he was filling on bass, even creating a false memory that I saw him play a bass guitar in the "Colossus" video from this session... Mandela Effect strikes again.
I supposed it's because he replaced Caleb on bass in Old Man Gloom.
@@patrickhunter Bass VI is in same range as standard bass tuning but with 2 additional strings on top
Brodsky's meatballs!!
3
Vocalist sounds like the vocalist from Caifanes (Mexican rock band).
is that homie from Mutoidman
Walter: Hey Alan, could you play a little more like my other drummer from Rival Schools and YOT?
Alan: I got you, fam. Instant leftie.
It's a shame about it not working out with Tom, but Brodsky is an appropriate alternative
See ya at meow wolf
