My mother had me tested too when I was 11. I said this to my classmates in medical school. They couldn't tell if I was serious or if I was just referencing the show. I was doing both.
On the bright side, people on the spectrum are able to live happy, fulfilled lives even if we don't always recognize or appropriately respond to social cues, and many of us can have healthy relationships. I'm married with kids just like Sheldon now.
Did they laugh at that joke?
@@eaglesfan226 they did but also asked should we be worried.
His mother really should have gone to that specialist in Houston
lol
She should've hired a whole train of specialists... Sheldon is nuts
No question at all. He is looney.
He was probably tested when he was younger and his craziness evolved over time
Is that how it works, because I'm not doctor or a psychiatrist
@@agentcooper194 u havent watched young sheldon
This running gag where everyone thinks Sheldon’s crazy is funny 🤣🤣😂
Also Sheldon is mildly loopy looney and kinda nuts. Just mildly.
I mean he won a Nobel, that's the good kinda crazy😊
You don’t have to be tested to be insane
Yes but he's an Aspie and the owners of the show were too chickensh!t to label him the obvious, anyone with ASD or anyone who has a loved one with ASD knows what the test results would have been.
Unless.....
A lot of people think Sheldon has autism so maybe by “Crazy” Sheldon’s mom wanted to check if he was autistic and it turned out he wasn’t
autism was not talked about in the 80s/90s. she wouldn't have known about autism. the specialist in Houston probably would've diagnosed him as being on the spectrum because the character is heavily coded to be. but they never wanted to say an actual diagnosis so they didn't perpetuate stereotypes for any singular thing. they left it open for interpretation by the audience
I’m not crazy I was tested
The Doctor's weren't looking for Autism; especially not in the 80s; and yes Chuck said Sheldon wasn't on the Spectrum but, they literal invented a character that has all the attributes that come with sign's of one that has Autism.
In the 80s I was tested for A.D.D (I don't know when they lumped A.D.D. & A.D.H.D. together I just remember in the 80s they were separated.
Those with Hyperactivity were given Ritalin too control their Hyperactive Behaviour it was a calming method for parent's so they didn't kill their own children.
Being A.D.D we're absent of Hyperactivity we instead opted too Day Dream; however with me being African American young woman to be we in the community had issue's with label's seeing since we had so much stacked up against us, I had to get tested in School once more for falling behind in my School Work and not at the same level with my fellow Student's in class.
Tested once more and found out I had a Learning Disability I also had too take Speech therapy in school too make sure I could hear my teachers story lesson plan, The Learning Disability wasn't Dyslexia; although, people are unaware Dyslexic can turn Number's upside down and trailing Number's on paper's backward's too.
The Learning Style I developed Dyscalculia basically the language of math alluded Me; in school I could not speak it.
Addition was confusing
why did we have to Subtract from Number's,
What the purpose was for Product in Multiplication problems
And who ever invented Division?
Fraction's? Problem solving? Counting money; telling time on the clock's
Don't get what's important about Pre-Algebra/Algebra A/Algebra B/Algebra 1/Algebra 2/Geometry/ Trigonometry/Calculus what a laugh.
Needless to say I hated Math but, liked something's in science. Since Math and Science went hand in hand Physical Science i wished was never invented;
I didn't mind Life Science I enjoyed learning about plant's and animals; but, I would never agree with Theory of Evolution/totally adored Astronomy and learning about The Solar System; Geology because of Earthquakes/& Volcanoes, Hated Biology (and were I able to understand math involving measurements/vial's/Liters/&Volumes I would of loved trying Chemistry Classes.
I'm not crazy I've just been in a very bad mood for 40 years
She should have found a more qualified doctor to give a clearer answer
In Germany they actually would take some DNA in a case of robbery of that magnitude
I think he's going bananas like May from Pokemon.
😂 that makes Sheldon a real quack 🦆
Poke-kay-mon. GOSH THAT COMMON PEASANT MISTAKE IS SO FRUSTRUATING!!!!!!!!
I'm going to call an audible
Yes Sheldon is crazy. The doctors from the late '80s to early 90s were not up to date.
He had something from the autism spectrum, he wasn't crazy
Unless.....
If they went to Houston, what would, in your opinion, the specialist had diagnosed in Sheldon?
He might have mentioned Aspergers, although that wasn't an official DSM diagnose before 1994 (and after 2013). An autism diagnosis would have been unlikely back then either since back then they thought only low-IQ boys could have autism.
My best guess considering the time-frame would be either OCD or SzPD.
@@Candisa maybe Billy Sparks has it
@@emiliobello2538 I doubt it, he's dumb as mud, he would show a lot more obvious signs he would be unable to mask with his low iq. If anything, I'd think Georgie might have it with his gift for finding airleaks and limited interests...
Autism
How many tests and how long since the last one.
Relevant questions😌
Just the fact that someone thought he should be tested is significant, doncha think?
Actually Wolverine was born with bone claws. I mean, he is after all, a Mutant.
They talking abt comic books
They in a comic book store 💀
@@Wispectre He never said they weren’t
The Big Bang Theory 😘
At the age of eight and a half I started learning Newton's three laws and quantum mechanics and the sequence. Now I'm almost 13 years old and in two years I'm going to college
That’s cool but I’m already at college so I win screw you
I like how he doesn't realize the mere fact that he was tested means something HAS to be wrong with him lol
I bet that specialist in Houston would have known about ASD.
Why would the wolverine bone claws even be argued you can google it and it’s a fairly modern comic too
Technically Howard and Sheldon all right. Originally wolverine was not born with born with bone claws but it was retcon that he was later.
Oh!
Sheldon is wrong. Wolverine's mutant power is healing. He survived the experimental surgery because of his mutant ability. The claws came from the experimentation.
He had bone claws before the experiment.
Wolverine Did Have Bone Claws Before they Coated his skeleton in Adamantium
Okay, why bag a soda can as evidence?
❤️
0:30 Paranoid much?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What episode was Young Sheldon in Houston for this “testing”?
No episode just his little backstory
