Great to see you getting on to the South Downs and exploring paths beyond the bridleway. See, I didn't even know there was a castle in Amberley. I wonder what else I missed? I typically wear trousers all year round for the same reasons that you've discovered... I make an exception for some long-distance paths and bridleways as I feel I can be confident that they'll be maintained and walked regularly. A friend of mine recently returned from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and told me that she 'only' fell over 14 times... I think you're allowed to stumble once. ;-) I will definitely be joining the club. Always in need of a pencil at work! Keep walking, all the best and stay cool!
I made a video about Amberley last week and a fun fact I learnt is that the residents of surrounding villages used to say that the women of Amberley had webbed feet cuz of the regular flooding in the village. I'm guessing the men weren't expected to brave the waters too.
Cool Dudes Walking Club My membership items arrived today. Thanks for nice letter too. If you’re ever walking in the US swing by for a pint and some Shepherd’s Pie
Awake at half four in the morning...... hmmmm.. I know.... let's watch some old Marek vids.... yayyyyy.
Hope your well... Stay cool.
Steve.
👋
I was awake at 4.30 watching walking videos too.
@@cdwc must have been the wind 🙂👍 Hope your all good mate. 👋
Amazing, I am literally researching a summer time pub crawl from Arundel to Amberley. This is the perfect video.
Brilliant. What's that lovely tinkly piano piece you often use? It's so pastoral and bucolic; it says English countryside.
Would love a "what's in your pack" video! A rundown of what you take on a day hike. Great video🚶
It is just a pig's torso.
@@cdwc ha ha ha ha nice one
Welcome to my manor. One of my favourate walks too.
Thanks cool dude.
Can't believe I've only just found this! Right up my street. :-) Thankyou.
Thanks for the walk and film mate xxx
Rewatching. You’re right, I think it would be a charming place to live.
This was amazing. Loved the Arsehole in the Casthole reference 😂
Probably my fave walk so far. Will give this one a bash, I think. Have mountain biked part of that route, is serene. We had less cow issues.
Cool walk
I'm joining that club👍
Fantastic walk Marek.
Stay cool.
Great walk, I enjoyed coming along with you
Hang on, are you my imaginary friend?
Yay for walking! Hope you didn't hurt yourself too badly falling over
Thank you.

Thanks Olly. I was so paranoid about ticks that the second half of the walk was a nightmare.
That machine/contraption is a tedder, it's for turning, drying and rowing up hey after it's been cut.
Hope that helps cool dude!
Thanks Rob. This is top quality information. See you soon. Stay cool.
Im now an official cool dude member !
Congratulations on the first step to enlightment and true happiness.

I will watch that one. I watched one of the others and really enjoyed it. Stay cool.
Thanks cool dude. I really like your stuff too - only discovered it yesterday and nearly finished.
the machine was used in the the victorian era to pull down ladies underware. it was thought that it was the proper way to be done.
That would explain the bin full of skirts I found.
@@cdwc that was actually @lacing trails talking from his wife's account lol (though now I want to know about this effing machine lol)
oh, it seems like an old style plowing machine. (now it's the wifey ehem lol) the ones that still use a horse or an ox.
It is called a 'tedder' apparently for raking up hay. See Rob Lucas's comment above. Stay cool.
I miss living in England. Nothing like the English countryside. Bootiful!!!
BTW - Do you send walking club merch to the States?
Yes I will send to the US, I think the postage might be exceed the membership fee though.
@@cdwc I'll double it up to cover the cost.

HELLO COOL DUDES
Hello dude.
"it's 23 degrees..." this must of been put up months ago.

Yep
Still wearing your school uniform!
I have just bought a new walking shirt. It looks just as awful.
I think they are going a little too far with `rate my cow` as they now appear to be tippexing their ratings on the cows rears.
There is no way that cow was a 6.6.
When you say it's absolute bullshit, you should have really said cow shit. But not to worry
