You don't have to go to a Fast Travel point when breaking camp. If you click Leave Camp you'll be returned to the place you were in before going to camp.
Not sure if you knew and just played it off to avoid spoilers but that door you destroyed and alerted all bandits can be opened by lighting both torches on either side of the door from the side you came in. The library mechanism is not needed unless you entered from the door in the chapel above or the whole on the floor middle of the chapel caused by the falling pillar (you can jump into room below through hole created but all bandits will be ecpecting you due to noise from pillar crashing through floor)
I don't think you should be too worried about making mistakes. How you adapt and overcome these challenges is what I find the most enjoyable about let's plays and often how I try to enjoy games myself. Sadly I do succumb to the save scumming bug pretty often. Hope you're enjoying playing through the series as much as I'm enjoying watching them, though I'm having to stagger it due to university work, but such is life.
Agreed. Posting anything online will always come with its share of criticism from people. That's the modern internet culture, every nerd thinks they're the smartest person in the comment section lol. Shouldn't worry about these people and just enjoy the game.
Wolfheart, you've probably figured this out by now, but on the Examine - resistance display, if there's a red arrow pointing down over the icon it means a negative resistance. So even though bludgeoning reads like it's a bug, it's just general text that gets modified by what the arrow above it is doing. Arrow down, low resistance. Arrow up, high resistance. No arrow present, immunity. I feel Larian did this to save on text glut.
Hey Wolf, I think you should just play your let's play series the same as how you would play on your own. I know some people won't care about the contents of books, but other care. So if you want to read books, I think you should definitely do so. It's not like it eats a whole lot of time anyways. Just my 2 cents on the matter. Love the content! So happy we're all finally playing 🎉 Also it's weird that trapped tomb needed a tool kit for you because for me it was open like normal. But I came in through the front and hit the hidden switch to unlock the door with no handle, so maybe that switch also unlocks the tomb?
The hardest part in all this, will be trying to accept bad rolls/negative outcomes to certain scenarios, without trying to do it all prefectly. I really want to embrace the roleplay, first time around lol
Your voice is soothing bro haha, I love the fantasy genre, adventure games that takes the user to another realm and give players control on how they play the game. Often times these type of games are hard to do a walk through; you make this walk through enjoyable
Let's plays are generally pretty divided on how to deal with books: 1. Some will actually read through each book aloud to the viewers 2. Some will leaf through them so viewers can pause the video and read it themselves 3. Some skip it altogether I think option 2 should be the minimum that all Let's Play videos go for. 3 is just lazy
I really like your "Let's Play" style. I know you have not done them before, but they are quite good! The only thing I would ask would be to once in a while, articulate a bit of the different DnD lingo that exists. I am not familiar with the mechanics, but am enjoying learning through your videos
26:09 - I think if a book seems proper to read (thematic etc) I’d totally be down to have a little story time in the vid :) Or maybe when we go back to camp choose one or two books that seemed cool you got that day and read them next to the campfire :D
I’m loving this let’s play! It’s so easy to follow and you’re great at explaining everything. It’s great for someone like me, who is new to rpg and all the lore. Thank you, Wolf!

I am a bit disappointed you didn't do Dark Urge (which is fine, you do you). It adds so much, fighting against the urge makes for an interesting time with a whole added quest and HUGE amounts of interaction. On top of that it's very... Baldur's Gate, like following on to the story from 1 and 2 in a way, it's really astounding.
I always thought it curious that Shadowheart would relinquish the artifact given its importance and given her personality. I had always felt that SH should have held onto it until her trust in you was exceptional. It makes sense thematically, though gameplay wise. I see why Larian did it as they chose.
I kind of feel bad speeding through the Hollow, there's a lot just hidden in plain sight. The game feels very dense with stuff people might not even notice but still has hooks to lead you through the primary story. I'm just getting out of the first area in my game so I'll try to talk around more in populated areas, maybe do more on a second playthrough. The goblin camp is a bit less crowded but I think they didn't want to block characters out of them if they start making enemies with them or spread it through the blight town
There are also some things you can do in the Goblin Camp there are like quests but aren't marked or logged as such, just neat things you can do that give XP or just open up new avenues of egress.
It's so nice to have the option to respec. I wish there was a way to change your appearance as well. Regarding books I think you should read whatever books seem interesting and take the rest to camp or sell them.
I'm loving this game in a way I did not think possible. They really went above and beyond...and I am so glad I resisted for 3 years, refusing to play the EA. This is GOTY material
Regarding book reading: Best approach i've seen was creating a separate book reading episodes. So who found that interesting could find them on one place and who not could easily skip those.
Interesting fact about soul coins in the books they are described as being a foot wide and an inch thick weighing 5 lbs. And the feature they did not add into the game at least at the point of this video's, location and where I have played. They have 3 charges you can use to ask the soul in the coin a question. After all 3 charges are used the coin is then destroyed. Also, you can only hold them a number of soil coins equal to your constitution modifier before suffering negative effects if you are anything other than evil, probably good they didn't keep that part though 😂
I still haven't made it out of act 1, i guess i've gone down way too many rabbit holes in terms of side quests. I was messing around yesterday and suddenly found myself in the underdark which appears to be a massive zone as well. This game is huge.
This is a pretty cool game in how you can aproach it in different ways. What I'm seeing in your playthough is quite different from what I saw in my own.
I don't know if anyone has said anything to you about the tomb trap problem. Or if you figured it out already, But you don't need a trap disarm kit to open it. If you right click and open it will let you open it without disarming it. I think Larian might have changed it to where you wouldn't accidently click to open it if you had discovered it was trapped. But it can still be opened without untrapping it. Edit: I know this because I ran into the same issue and when I right clicked it I realized there was a there was an open button not realizing it would open and nearly TPKd my party because I didn't know it would open.
I actually got a party member killed after falling through the floor to the chapel, missing the shovel, missing the trap disarming tools and missing all the scrolls for the wizard. I'm thinking of starting again :D

Climbing down vines, dexterity check. Critical fail 1. You fall to the ground and impale yourself on your sword. GGs.😅
Loving this series and your commentary. Thank you for taking the time to stream this!
Enjoyed the first episode (after getting it from YT recommended) that I couldn't wait to get started on the next one! Lets's gooooo
Dark Urge is risking my channel getting age restricted haha. Otherwise I would have
I always thought it curious that Shadowheart would relinquish the artifact given its importance and given her personality. I had always felt that SH should have held onto it until her trust in you was exceptional. It makes sense thematically, though gameplay wise. I see why Larian did it as they chose.
The Withers voice actor always reminds me of Max von Sydow.
'Are you trying to say I'm stupid? I did dump intelligence.🤔' 🤣🤣🤣 24:00
Yay! Can’t wait! This and your live playthroughs have been great!
I like that you made Wolf a pragmatist instead of forcing yourself to pick all of the ‘right’ answers.
Woooo!!! Perfect timing. Just went to lunch. Get an hour to watch now and more to end the night!!!
The squirrel reaction had me rolling!
I still haven't made it out of act 1, i guess i've gone down way too many rabbit holes in terms of side quests. I was messing around yesterday and suddenly found myself in the underdark which appears to be a massive zone as well. This game is huge.
As i said now that I finished my game...i will be watching these playthroughs Wolf!
I didn't play much early access so I suck at the game, but watching these videos has improved my gameplay so much.
Petition to change it to dank crypts and goblins
I love the clickity-clackity of Withers running around
Very informative and entertaining ❤️ Thanks SM for let's play playing BD3
Hey thanks a lot for that! Cheers
@@WolfheartFPS np! 🤘
Loving this series! You're doing a great job! Thanks for doing this playthrough :)
Thanks. Glad you are enjoying it
Did everything here last night except finding the book and withers... have to go back now, thanks for this awesome guides.
Cheers
This game sure brings back memories of playing tabletop D&D ❤ can’t wait for the ps5 release
Is it just me or when his character said “A dead tongue. Whoever worshipped here must be long gone” he sounded like the vc for Trevor in castlevania
This is a pretty cool game in how you can aproach it in different ways. What I'm seeing in your playthough is quite different from what I saw in my own.
This is my second time visiting your channel but you are already my favorite content creator here
I really appreciate that
You've got those Wil Wheaton rolls!
On to episode 2. I've done a lot in Act 1 so now I can watch these more freely without spoilers.
Looks like BG, Witcher and XCOM had a baby. Interesting
I actually got a party member killed after falling through the floor to the chapel, missing the shovel, missing the trap disarming tools and missing all the scrolls for the wizard. I'm thinking of starting again :D
