How to configure ipv4 and ipv6 manually into pc | laptop | ipv4 | ipv6 | networking

  • Follow the below step to provide ip address manually:
    Click Start Menu :Control Panel : Network and Sharing Center or Network and Internet : Network and Sharing Center.
    Click Change adapter settings.
    Right-click on Wi-Fi or Local Area Connection.
    Click Properties.
    Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
    Click Properties.
    Select Use the following IP address.
    Enter the IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, and DNS server.
    Click OK.
    Your computer displays a static IP address.

    so Ok it shows how to type in some numbers, where do I find the correct ones for myself ? ipconfig is great help for IPv4 how about IPv6 ? could come with more explanations and shown how to use CMD .....
