Listen, I’ve gotten 3 hours of sleep in the past day, I’m in art school struggling to stay passionate about my work in my final semester of college (I love art, I love it so much it kills me). I’m genuinely a little in tears watching this. To clarify: this is so beautiful and screams that the people working on this loved it so much I’m crying Edit: you guys are all really sweet!!! Edit 2 (Nov 2024): I really appreciate all of your support!! Happy to say I graduated (with honors!) with my bachelors of fine arts and while I’m not exactly in the industry, I’ve gotten to do some character design work and am hopefully in talks with an author looking for an illustrator for children’s books! In the meantime, I’m still drawing, still creating, and still dreaming! And yes, I did watch Wild Robot opening weekend and cried my heart out (I started crying 5 minutes into the film because it was so pretty to look at 😂)
Stay strong! There is no sense of accomplishment without the struggle. It's all part of the process. Accept it and it will pass. Also read The Creative Act by Rick Rubin/ Every struggling artist should read it.
Best of luck to you in art school! I know it's tough to stay passionate about art especially with how the world is affecting it, but easy as it is to give up, it's much more rewarding to see through it to the end. You got this!!!

For me, “The Wild Robot” has simply been the best family movie of 2024 so far. The migration scene perfectly captured the dual emotions of a parent somewhat reluctantly letting his child go off into the world but at the same time wishing him to experience all the best that life has to offer.

I teared up watching this trailer because reading these books to my son at night was such a joy. This story is so touching and even though it's about a robot, it's so deeply human and emotional. This is my kiddos favorite story, and the time we spent together reading it seems to have become one of those "core-memory" moments for him, so even watching the trailer - just tears.
We just saw this trailer at a kid’s movie today. After the trailer before it, which also had something similar to a robot (totally different themes and animation), my son said that it made him think of The Wild Robot, a kid’s novel we both adored, because wouldn’t it be great if they made a movie of The Wild Robot. You can then imagine how excited we were when the next trailer began with the robotic eye blinking open and the sea otters. I said “that’s The Wild Robot!” He said, “no…is it?” I said, yes that’s Rozz… and sure enough! The animation looks beautiful, and the trailer looks faithful to the book, which is absolutely wonderful. We are autistic, and the book really resonated with us and our other non-neurotypical friends. I teared up a little in the theater tbh. SO SO THRILLED for this movie!
I have not audibly said "Wow" to a trailer for anything in quite some time, the way I did with this one. Essentially no dialogue, and I am already fully enthralled and enraptured in the story of this Robot.
It’s rare that a film- no, a TRAILER for a film almost made me cry, but this is special I grew up loving animals and, as a neurodivergent kid, often related more to them than to my peers. Now, I’m about to graduate and looking for a degree in ecology and/or art, which honestly isn’t a combo that I see often. But this? I can already tell this is going to be gorgeous. So dreamworks, from the bottom of my amateur field worker heart, thank you.

I love everything about this trailer. The large, yet humble scale of it. Accompanied with a harmonious and robotic rendition of “What A Wonderful World” that brings together nature and technology in its purest form. It just brings me to tears. This movie will hopefully bring that magic.
Same...
It's a masterpiece. Hope people watch this, if people don't support this, we will get stock to sequels upon sequels
How is it possible that I cried over a trailer?! This was very moving, from the selection of music, animation & design, to the mini-story that was revealed to us. Wow. I'm so looking forward to this one. So beautiful to see the engineering marvel that is a robot combined with the beauty of nature.
The segment between 1:52 and 2:12 deeply resonated with me, especially after losing my cherished parrot. It was heart-wrenching and brought me to tears. This movie appears to be beautifully crafted, emotionally touching, and truly remarkable. Hope it's a big hit.
WHY ARE WE CRYING, THIS IS THE TRAILER?!!! 😭

That movie is really good, it returns alot of nostalgia when i was a kid and love movies like these. It is so good
"Sometimes, to survive, we must become more than we were programmed to be." That's profound. It hit me in the heart. This is going to be relatable.
I know right!? That single line made me cry at the end, so profound. Such a needed reminder.
@@aranguren12I was crying throughout the movie. Such a well made movie that tugs at your heart strings.

1:20 reminds SO MUCH of the Iron Giant. I'm crying

@@jenniferwills9752do not compare Pocahontas to this movie
@@Hedorahstan71I agree, Pocahontas ain’t anywhere near this
Too few kids nowadays know of the true heart melting classics like the iron giant “I fix. You stay, no following”
I also see character designs from Puss In Boots 2 and Migration
...Did a TRAILER just make me CRY?!
This looks amazing. A true work of art. Dreamworks has officially overthrown Pixar.
You wish
Ikr?! I'm bawling over this!!
Well.. excluding megamind 2, yeah, theyve overthrown pixar.
Puss and boots 3, this and how to train your dragon is enough to say DreamWorks is better in my opinion. Nothing beats that
DreamWorks has had enough bad movies to still not get to Pixar, Pixar has never had a horrible movie @@dinocorare
Without a doubt, probably the best animated movie ever made. 10/10. A Masterpiece.
Knowing the original children's book as a recent elementary school teacher, I know this is going to hit harder than people realize.
This is a scary but great sign. I love movies that tear my heart out.
Knowing that it's written and directed by the person who made Lilo and Stitch, I don't doubt you.
Esta buenisimo el libro
YES
I really hope people see this and understand!! I'm so ready to cry out loud
Man I read this book in 5th grade. It was one of the only books in my life that I maintained the attention span to read and enjoy, and probably the only book that I ever truly loved to read. I haven’t read very many, but to see it all visualized like this after so many years, absolutely magnificent

Crying, sobbing, absolutely breaking down to ash. I watched this trailer once and this is already my favorite movie of all time. DreamWorks, please, for the love of everything that is sacred, PLEASE don't mess this one up, I beg

The last time I cried because of an animated movie was The Lion King. I cried once, when Mufasa fell
This movie made me cry 3 times wow
Am I the only one who choked up at this commercial? I was in theaters with my 5 year old getting ready to watch KFP4 and this commercial came on.. and I was mesmerized and blown away.. also just very touched.

@@starblissgames it looks incredible. Made me get the books. I want to read them all (I believe there are 3)
i love the fact that there was no spoken words were in the trailer. i do hope the speech added in 1:55 was just added flavor to the trailer and that no words will ever be spoken at all, a restriction using the artwork of movies
There's going to be dialogue. The robot (Roz) speaks with the animals a lot. Plus they showed a cast list.

It will be! The book made me cry and it's just words, the movie is gonna be amazing by the looks of it!

There have been a few Disney hidden gems here and there but this movie looks good
It’s crazy when you think about how far cinema has come with animation and special effects. 30 years ago toy story was the first computer animated full length motion picture, and now you have films like this and the juxtaposition between the two and the amazing things that you see people doing now in cinema is just breathtaking. I really can’t wait to see this. It looks like it’s going to be incredible.
This is probably the best trailer I have seen. I’ve never come back to watch a trailer multiple times but this is just so great
