I think Pixar is practically just more Disney at this point. In Disney Infinity, Pixar was filed under Disney, so there's already precedent for such a thing.
And Pixar has worked with Disney for all their feature length films since Toy Story. Marvel and Lucasfilm had history outside of Disney which is why a few Marvel characters were scattered across movie studios. I would consider Pixar to be a second-party and Marvel and Lucasfilm under third-parties. Also, did you know that Big Hero Six was originally a Marvel property? Yeah, Hiro Hamada is a Marvel character. Though I guess Big Hero Six was filed under Disney Originals in Disney Infinity and we got a San Fransokyo world in Kingdom Hearts III because Marvel completely sold Big Hero Six to Walt Disney Animation Studios.
I might have an idea for who would replace Sonic for Brawl, that being Dash from The Incredibles. But to jump the gun (so to speak) a bit, I might have an idea of what acquired characters might replace some of the third party characters once you both head to Smash 4. Those being Iron Man to replace Mega Man, Kermit the Frog to replace Pac Man, either Captain America or Shang Chi to replace Ryu, and either Luke Skywalker or Anakin Skywalker to replace Cloud.
imo as a HUGE Oswald fanboy. I think he should take more from the Epic Mickey games such as: -instead of his ears, his ARMS would be a boomerang like in Epic Mickey 2 -his recovery would be to use his ears like a Helicopter (and those ears do damage!) -he could have his remote from EM2 and use electric based attacks and maybe summon one of The Mad Doctor's Beetleworx -maybee a mechanic involving Paint and Thinner (Paint behaves like the Ink from Smash, and Thinner would be a damaging move) and if you use more Paint or Thinner the attributes of those attacks are better just like the morality system in the EM games (such as the Paint effect lasting longer or the Thinner attack doing more damage) -the stage although a neat idea should've been an area from Wasteland like Mean Street or Ostown
For the Sorcerer Mickey costume, there is one idea I have in mind for an alternate look. That is from the Disney Sorcerer's Arena game where Sorcerer Mickey has a Sorcerer Arena outfit having some dark purple and some gold and orange, and an additional costume piece which I don't know what it is to be honest, but it looked like something from a magical school coat like Harry Potter.

1:56 I mean, in my opinion yeah I would love to see other properties that Disney owns (or at least distributed like for example Pixar. Although Pixar makes their movies but Disney distributes their movies) so like Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, etc are fair game. If they were gonna do that I would assume their game is gonna be like another Smash like game called Multiverses which is pretty much smash but with Warner Bro properties (so stuff like Cartoon Network and DC) so I don’t see why not if Disney had their own Smash game, I don’t see why they exclude their other properties. Imagine if you added Joy and Sadness from inside out (they would replace the Ice Climbers or if you decided to add the other three emotions as well then Pokémon Trainer) where you can swap between Joy and Sadness where Joy could throw the core memory orbs as your attacking moves where as Sadness could do different “status’s” kinda like paralyzing you for a few seconds. Now for a stage idea I have two ideas (one idea is less likely but throwing it out there) is where one is the memory station where the emotions live in the movie where the other second one is San Francisco because Riley (aka the girl in the film) moves there with her family but since San Frantokyo (aka Hiro’s stage) exists. Time to use my free time to give my own ideas on the Brawl replacements! Diddy Kong - Abu (Aladdin). It's a chimp, it has the same playful kind of behaviour. It could be a great rep Diddy Kong - Mowgli (Jungle Book). As a concept, this might work as well. And it could potentially be more fun than Abu Ike - Prince Philip (Sleeping Beauty). A strong hero, wielding a sword. There might be betters, but I like this one King Dedede - King Louie (Jungle Book). I wasn't sure what could replace Dedede. I was thinking of Poseidon, but... No legs. So, throw in funny monkey king Lucario - Perry the Platypuss (Phineas & Ferb). Badass blue animal. He has some martial arts moves, so I think he would fit like a glove Lucas - Lewis (Meet the Robinsons). Another odd ball. But for Smash, he means much more than that. It represents the rivalry between Sega and Nintendo coming together to an aliance. And following said rules into this imaginative roster, I think Bugs would me more than a perfect fit
Pixar Characters would be more equivalent to 2nd party characters in Smash. What I mean by that is characters or franchises owned by Nintendo, but their main developer isn't. The easiest example is Pokemon, where Nintendo own's 1/3 of the Pokemon brand, another 1/3 goes to GameFreak, and another 1/3 to Creatures Inc.. Pikachu and Jigglypuff are in Smash 64, and at the time, Nintendo didn't own HAL as a whole, so Kirby also counted as 2nd party. For Disney. Pixar would be that 2nd party in 2001, because they didn't fully own the studio until 2006.

There's rumors based on code that Multiversus was pitched to Disney but rejected. Disney has on multiple occasions expressed concern about portraying their characters, outside Marvel, fighting one another. But I'll admit, Sora, Luke, and Spiderman in a Smash clone would get my attention
I think if they were to do it they would give all the characters redesigns like in Mirrorverse. Just so they make it clear this is not the same universe as the movie they are from.
If it were me, I'd totally count Pixar and Muppets characters as Disney material and leave Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Fox stuff for third-party. Pixar films have ALWAYS been distributed by Disney, and the Muppets, well, they fit the brand.

Olimar could be Riley from Inside Out throwing different emotions and you could go to different parts of her mind. Maybe you could be in the emotion maze and when a memory comes out you would feel that emotion, or Olimar could be a Star Wars person.

One idea that would work really well would be Hercules over Ike, due to the fact that the Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn alts could have equivalents with Hercules before and after his training with Phil. Alternatively he could be Pit due to both of them being parodies of Greek Mythology

Pixar is like, 2nd party in my eyes, they have always almost treated those movies as part of their regular catalog, just with a different flavour or something, so they feel more like Ness and Kirby than Sonic and Snake Kinda same for the muppets, for example It's the out there stuff like Marvel, Star Wars and The Simpsons that I would classify as 3rd party

I think Pokémon Trainer should be Quasimodo and you actually play as the gargoyles Hugo, Victor, and Laverne. Pit could be either Tinkerbell since they both have wings or Hercules since they're both based on Greek Mythology.
For the Jack sparrow stage, you could have the kraken monster with its tentacles trying to crush you. Also, if you wanted transforming royalty, just do Tiana from Princess and the frog. I think other characters to consider for Brawl would be The Beast from Beauty and the Beast, Scruge McDuck from Duck Tales, DarkWing Duck, Baloo from Tail Spin, Princess Kida from Atlantis, Goliath and/or Demona from Gargoyles, Ariel from Little Mermaid, Rapunzel from Tangled, and perhaps Rays and Sisu from Rays and the Last Dragon

The Queen of Hearts from Alice In wonderland should totally be King Dedede! Think about it. He’s a King & she’s a Queen. They’re both heavy weight and the hammer that dedede uses could be the flamingo the Queen of hearts uses to play croquet and she could even throw hedgehogs as people with it. And her finally attack could be Off with their head!

I think Pixar is practically just more Disney at this point. In Disney Infinity, Pixar was filed under Disney, so there's already precedent for such a thing.
And Pixar has worked with Disney for all their feature length films since Toy Story. Marvel and Lucasfilm had history outside of Disney which is why a few Marvel characters were scattered across movie studios. I would consider Pixar to be a second-party and Marvel and Lucasfilm under third-parties.
Also, did you know that Big Hero Six was originally a Marvel property? Yeah, Hiro Hamada is a Marvel character. Though I guess Big Hero Six was filed under Disney Originals in Disney Infinity and we got a San Fransokyo world in Kingdom Hearts III because Marvel completely sold Big Hero Six to Walt Disney Animation Studios.
I might have an idea for who would replace Sonic for Brawl, that being Dash from The Incredibles. But to jump the gun (so to speak) a bit, I might have an idea of what acquired characters might replace some of the third party characters once you both head to Smash 4. Those being Iron Man to replace Mega Man, Kermit the Frog to replace Pac Man, either Captain America or Shang Chi to replace Ryu, and either Luke Skywalker or Anakin Skywalker to replace Cloud.
imo as a HUGE Oswald fanboy. I think he should take more from the Epic Mickey games such as:
-instead of his ears, his ARMS would be a boomerang like in Epic Mickey 2
-his recovery would be to use his ears like a Helicopter (and those ears do damage!)
-he could have his remote from EM2 and use electric based attacks and maybe summon one of The Mad Doctor's Beetleworx
-maybee a mechanic involving Paint and Thinner (Paint behaves like the Ink from Smash, and Thinner would be a damaging move) and if you use more Paint or Thinner the attributes of those attacks are better just like the morality system in the EM games (such as the Paint effect lasting longer or the Thinner attack doing more damage)
-the stage although a neat idea should've been an area from Wasteland like Mean Street or Ostown

-snake- since this is a third party character i think woody the mascot of pixar could be a good fit he could have a moveset about cowboy things like a gun or maybe a snake like lucas
-king dedede- since kirby series is replaced with mulan it seems fitting that the villain of kirby is replace wth the villain of mulan that being shan yu would be perfect he could use his falcon and maybe a sword too
-wolf- since the starfox characters are space themed i think wendy pleakley would fit that role (its the skinny alien w/ 1 eye in lilo and stitch) maybe use space ray and i think it would be funny if he could having a staring contest and if you lose you take massive amount of damage
-lucario- i think genie could work i know i know "he would be too op" but what if you nerfed him and make him more like shantae (but no hair whip) where he could morph into animals to give him diffrent powers (like merlin)
-sonic- since this is the last 3rd party i thought you could add another animated fighter so i think sid the sloth could work it would be a funny moveset
-wario-i think that he must be redeemed for not making it into the roster i think baymax should take this slot it would work SO well and it would let your mulan regret go away
-toon link- i think nick wylde could take this spot since he like a more cartoony robin hood
-R.O.B- i would pick WALL-E or EVE but thats pixar so that won't work so how about a robinsons representive with bowler hat guy since his whole moveset would be about his robot hats
-olimar- i don't know if you would count this since its a unreleased movie thats still in development but what if you added searcher clade from the upcoming strange world since he's a farmer and olimars thing is pikmin which i guess is like farming but if you don't like that i got one for alph is palllete swap

I mean, in my opinion yeah I would love to see other properties that Disney owns (or at least distributed like for example Pixar. Although Pixar makes their movies but Disney distributes their movies) so like Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, etc are fair game.
If they were gonna do that I would assume their game is gonna be like another Smash like game called Multiverses which is pretty much smash but with Warner Bro properties (so stuff like Cartoon Network and DC) so I don’t see why not if Disney had their own Smash game, I don’t see why they exclude their other properties.
Edit: Also if you do add Pixar to the roster in future ideas here is my idea! Imagine if you added Joy and Sadness from inside out (they would replace the Ice Climbers or if you decided to add the other three emotions as well then Pokémon Trainer) where you can swap between Joy and Sadness where Joy could throw the core memory orbs as your attacking moves where as Sadness could do different “status’s” kinda like paralyzing you for a few seconds. Now for the ultimate, well idk. I can’t think of one lmao!
Now for a stage idea I have two ideas (one idea is less likely but throwing it out there) is where one is the memory station where the emotions live in the movie where the other second one is San Francisco because Riley (aka the girl in the film) moves there with her family but since San Frantokyo (aka Hiro’s stage) exists. I think the memory station makes more sense here.

Diddy Kong - Abu (Aladdin). It's a chimp, it has the same playful kind of behaviour. It could be a great rep
Diddy Kong - Mowgli (Jungle Book). As a concept, this might work as well. And it could potentially be more fun than Abu
Ike - Prince Philip (Sleeping Beauty). A strong hero, wielding a sword. There might be betters, but I like this one
King Dedede - King Louie (Jungle Book). I wasn't sure what could replace Dedede. I was thinking of Poseidon, but... No legs. So, throw in funny monkey king
Lucario - Perry the Platypuss (Phineas & Ferb). Badass blue animal. He has some martial arts moves, so I think he would fit like a glove
Lucas - Lewis (Meet the Robinsons). Another odd ball. I couldn't really think of a Lucas replacement, so I thought of a look alike. Blond kids with a similar sounding name? Perfect
Lucas - Star Butterfly (Star vs. The Forces of Evil). Okay. After a while, I've come back to this one, which I think is a great replacement as well. Not psychic powers, but more magic
Meta Knight - King (Owl House). Uhhh... Disney series have good options, actually. Masked small fry. Love him
Olimar - Belle (Beauty and the Beast). Okay, hear me out. The castle servants (Lumière, Cogsworth...) replace the Pikmin. I think it's a pretty neat idea
Olimar - Snow White (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs). Change the Pikmin for the dwarfs. Same idea, fits perfectly
Olimar - Cinderella (Cinderella). Mouse. Olimar has many replacements, now that I think about it
Pit - Tinkerbell (Peter Pan). Yeah, she is super small. But Smash resizes characters all the time! Tinkerbell is the flying icon of Disney, so she'd be a great rep for Pit
Pkmn Trainer - Huey, Dewey and Louie (Ducktales). Is there a better three-in-one character? I think that this is a pretty great fit in. I challenge thee for a better one
R.O.B. - Baymax (Big Hero 6). I was trying to follow R.O.B.'s vibe of a reference fighter to an alternate product... But got nothing. Baymax is a cool robot to replace the other robot
Snake - Captain America (Marvel Comics). Oh yeah. Its crossover time. I was trying to search for a spy kind of character, and only got that spy guy from the Blue Sky pidgeon movie. So opportunity to sweep in Marvel characters
Sonic - Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes). Pretty self explanatory. He has a rivalry with Mickey as the one Mario and Sonic have, he is a fast type of character. I think its perfect
Toon Link - Wander (Wander Over Yonder). I have. Literally. No idea on what to choose for Toon Link. So, fuck it! Wander.
Wario - Scrooge McDuck (Ducktales). Before writing this, I checked some comments that also suggested. And many said this, to which I agree. Money loving characters. That's pretty much it
Wario - King Candy (Wreck-It-Ralph). As much as I agree with Scrooge, the bike part of Wario is really important. King Candy also has that, and he is also greedy to certain extent
Wolf - Big Bad Wolf (The Three Little Piggies). Evil wolf. Come on! Its perfect!

Plus, Sonic might only mean speed as a character. But for Smash, he means much more than that. It represents the rivalry between Sega and Nintendo coming together to an aliance. And following said rules into this imaginative roster, I think Bugs would me more than a perfect fit

Pixar Characters would be more equivalent to 2nd party characters in Smash. What I mean by that is characters or franchises owned by Nintendo, but their main developer isn't. The easiest example is Pokemon, where Nintendo own's 1/3 of the Pokemon brand, another 1/3 goes to GameFreak, and another 1/3 to Creatures Inc.. Pikachu and Jigglypuff are in Smash 64, and at the time, Nintendo didn't own HAL as a whole, so Kirby also counted as 2nd party.
For Disney. Pixar would be that 2nd party in 2001, because they didn't fully own the studio until 2006.

Disney has on multiple occasions expressed concern about portraying their characters, outside Marvel, fighting one another.
But I'll admit, Sora, Luke, and Spiderman in a Smash clone would get my attention
I think if they were to do it they would give all the characters redesigns like in Mirrorverse. Just so they make it clear this is not the same universe as the movie they are from.

One idea that would work really well would be Hercules over Ike, due to the fact that the Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn alts could have equivalents with Hercules before and after his training with Phil. Alternatively he could be Pit due to both of them being parodies of Greek Mythology

I think Pokémon Trainer should be Quasimodo and you actually play as the gargoyles Hugo, Victor, and Laverne. Pit could be either Tinkerbell since they both have wings or Hercules since they're both based on Greek Mythology.
For the Jack sparrow stage, you could have the kraken monster with its tentacles trying to crush you. Also, if you wanted transforming royalty, just do Tiana from Princess and the frog.
I think other characters to consider for Brawl would be The Beast from Beauty and the Beast, Scruge McDuck from Duck Tales, DarkWing Duck, Baloo from Tail Spin, Princess Kida from Atlantis, Goliath and/or Demona from Gargoyles, Ariel from Little Mermaid, Rapunzel from Tangled, and perhaps Rays and Sisu from Rays and the Last Dragon

This is a very nice cast, guys. But if you wouldn't mind, I have a few suggestions to change the cast slightly. My suggestions are:
*Mario - Mickey Mouse
*Luigi - Goofy (both have green signature hats, are clumsy and gawky, and sidekicks to Mickey and Mario)
*DK - Wreck-It Ralph
*Link - Peter Pan (obviously, Shigeru Miyamoto got inspiration from Peter Pan to develop Link)
*Samus - Mulan or KP
*Yoshi - Donald Duck (both have similar body structures and voices and are Mickey and Mario's best friends whose species lay eggs, and birds are believed to be modern living dinosaurs)
*Kirby - Olaf (both are cute and cuddly)
*Fox - Nick Wilde
*Pikachu - Stitch
*Captain Falcon - Mr. Incredible
*Ness - Pinocchio
*Jigglypuff - Angel (Lilo and Stitch)

@@artisticsolarninja Well, I thought of having the animated Maleficent as Bowser since they have horns, have minions/goons, reside in dark castles, and put pink-clad princesses in trouble.
Also Mickey battles Maleficent as a dragon in Fantasmic! much like Marios battles Bowser.
Whaddaya think of this change?
