Honestly the only missed opportunity here is not adding a character from their earlier works mainly the pre-shrek 2 films like road the el-dorado, or antz. Would be a nice way to show dreamworks past that’s been forgotten for a long time

I was picturing the three non-giant monsters as an interchangeable fighter similar to the Pokemon Trainer, with Ginormica and Insectosaurus showing up to help with the final smash
There are a few more things that you could add that would make it better: 1. Hiccup and Toothless being separate fighters doesn't really make sense. I could see them more being similar to Duck Hunt Dog or Ice Climbers from Smash Bros, two fighters working together as one playable character 2. Jumping off from the previous point, if Hiccup and Toothless become one fighter, maybe you could have Susan from Monsters vs. Aliens replace the missing slot? I would potentially see her as an agile fighter who would be difficult to hit but would have a mechanic that allows her to change her size (similar to the cartoon that I haven't seen people acknowledge). The tradeoff for this mechanic could be that the bigger Susan gets, she would hit harder, become bulkier, and reach further, but as a downside would end up becoming heavier, slower, and easier to hit. Her special attack could be something like Mega Man or Shulk, where her allies could come in and deal some damage, and she could deal the final blow 3. If this game were to have an arcade mode, I could see it having ten rounds with three lives each, with Shen always being the final match. And it could have a secret boss with thematically appropriate requirements. those requirements are: play it on the highest difficulty, and on the nine matches leading up to the final match, either die once on all but one match, or twice on four of them. then when you get to the final match, have the announcer get cut off from telling the player who the opponent is, have the arena be different, obscure the opponent and his icon in a dark smog, and as it fades away, have it accompanied by an all too familiar, bone-chilling whistle, until it reveals that Death is your new opponent. and as an extra bit of difficulty, he'll have the most aggressive AI in the game, both of you have one life each, and losing to him means that you have to restart from the very beginning 4. If there was a story mode, there could be a good amount of fun character interactions sort of like Dissidia Final Fantasy (IIRC). And if Susan did get into the game, I could see her and Ruby Gilman becoming great friends almost immediately, since, at least to me, I see a good amount of similarities between the two of them
I think Barry B Benson could have a fun, unorthodox moveset that involves using different Bee Jobs from the movie, and it would be great if he had a stinger move that did a ton of damage but also killed himself.
A character i wanna mention is Ken from Bee Movie, he in the film was shown as an agressive guy who was more than willing to get physicial. And seeing as he already has attacks you can adapt (winter boots, Tennis, and fire) he could flow easily into a platform fighter
The Vermintor's super move should be a callback to the movie's climax where he is zapping the opponent with a taser until the both of them trip and fall into a cage trap and get attacked by the Depelter Turbo with the same cinematic shots from the movie, including the main animal characters watching on the side.
As fun as that would be, I feel like the religious aspect of the character would be a little offensive to include him. It would be like getting to beat up Jesus himself, big BIG no-no.
I was about to comment the same thing. Definitely unlikely, but it would be pretty funny if he was included. To be fair, he is probably their most iconic 2D character, and the game should have at least one.
@@benjaminhuether3846 easy fix. Get Miguel and Tulio from El Dorado. They're iconic, 2-D, and fun to have in the game. If that doesn't work, how about Sinbad the sailor? Worst case scenario, fetch the bad guy priest dude from El Dorado instead of the guys.
I think Boss Baby would be added in a DreamWorks fighting game for the reason that m his franchise is more slapstick and "action" oriented, also no Rugrats in NASB is apparently just a decision on the devs of wanting to have Reptar as he's a cooler option for a fighting game. Alex could be interesting if you had him with a "savage" mechanic that has him turn wild like in Madagscar 1 after he's too hungry, he'd be stronger and faster for a while or perhaps more likely to deal critical hits with higher knockback.
I feel like Death would get in over Big Jack Horner because he will be in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing but only the Digital Deluxe Edition over Big Jack Horner I presume unless if Big Jack Horner is in the game as well and also to correct you on if Madagascar characters will be in the game or not, It's basically confirmed that there will be Madagascar characters in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing because in the game's overview/description it was confirmed that New York City Zoo from Madagascar will be a track in the game.

It'd be nice to see you make a sequel video about a potential Season 2 Season Pass video, but if I were to choose the characters, I'd choose the following characters: Miguel, Tulio and Chel (as a Trio fighter) [The Road to El Dorado], Sinbad [Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas], Spirit [Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron], Chelsea Van Der Zee [Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken] and Tzekel-Khan [The Road to El Dorado] And as a bonus free DLC character: Moses [The Prince of Egypt] (Yup, Moses. He would be a zoner, and he would "fight" by performing God's miracles). And The Wolf/Death [Puss in Boots: The Last Wish], unlockable after defeating him in the Arcade mode (or as a paid DLC)
Kitty Softpaws should be one fo the DLCs because she is the GOAT. On top of that, I think Death would make a better villain representative from the Puss in Boots movie than the guy you chose (who I hate and have forgotten the name). Death could add a lot of variety, being a heavy but fast paced fighter who attacks with his scythes
While Monsters vs Aliens isn’t the most notable Dreamworks movie, it’s pretty well known and did well, so I could see B.O.B or Ginormica making it into the roster.
You should’ve included Eris from Sinbad, her teleporting floaty nature would’ve been really fun to use. Also El Dorado would’ve been cool, Miguel and Tulio as an ice climbers duo with Miguel using his guitar for close range and tulio throwing loaded dice as ranged.
since some people liked my stage ideas why not do a move list idea starting with my girl ruby gillman because she is one of my fav dreamworks characters next to po don't judge me side special: this attack will function similar to the falcon punch in smash were the player will have to hold the button down as the captain falcon charges up his fist before punching while shouting falcon punch. Only hear as ruby is charging up her fist she wont say anything as rubys body armour will slowley cover her piece by piece before delivering a heavy armoured punch sending the opponent flying up special: this one i went with an original idea that is not seen or mentioned in the movie but will have ruby blast a burst of ink shooting her up from beneath her since she is an octopus/squid (whatever krakens are meant to be and by the way the ink will come out of her feet if anyone askes) natural special: she will shoot a long ranged lazer beam from her eyes that goes across the map whilst also having a small cooldown timer for 3-6 seconds side tilt: will have ruby swoop out her pet nessie and have him or her bite down to the target before ruby pulls nessie away as the move finishes down tilt: ruby having no bones will do a sick split with her legs whilst doing a 360 spin with them using her waste while doing it hitting opponents from both sides as she spin back up into her idle position once she's done up tilt: have her stretch her elastic neck a shot distance up impaling anyone above her down special: will have ruby camouflage as she will be able to wonder around the stage while cloaked with the only downfall being that the player wont even be able to see her either which could cause the player to accidently have her fall off the stage and the invisibility will be worn of if taken enough damage taunts: her up taunt will have her sunglasses be spawned onto of her had as she then flicks them down over her eyes with her head like what she dose in the presentation at the beginning of the film, her side tilt will have her hand unintentionally grow big into her giant kraken hand as it shrinks back down once the taunt ends, and lastly for her down taunt will make ruby wrap her legs around the other followed up by her rapidly untangling them and becoming dizzy for a short time after the taunt what did you think of the move list tell me what character i should do next if this comment gets slightly over 15 likes and if you want tell me your version of ruby gillmans move list or just tell me exertions to mine 🐙🐙🐙🧜♀🧜♀🧜♀👸👸👸
For Over the hedge, it has a collectathon beat ‘em up where the main character(RJ, Lemmy, Stella, and the turtle forgor his name 💀) all fight using weapons and attacks like Lemmy has speed, the Turtle uses his shell, Stella uses stink attacks etc
Honestly, if you haven't watched how to train your dragon, then there are spoiler reasons why hiccup and toothless can't be split in combat. I would use the extra slot to include Miguel from Road to El Dorado to have a non-biblical rep to DreamWorks 2d origins
I loved playing Shrek 2 on GameCube because of the combat and the ability to switch between characters with the shoulder buttons. You guys should play it, its great. The atmosphere in the game is so cozy and warm.
Idea for a dlc pack 2: Turbo (the snail), Death from Puss in boots, Kai from Kung fu Panda, Professor Poopy Pants from Captain Underpants, and Grimmel from HTTYD 3
decent list, but I think verminator and oscar are not really worth adding. If it was my choice, I'd probably replace them with characters from the pre-shrek dreamworks era. For verminator, I'd probably put in General mandible from Antz. He could have some decent physical moves, while using his specials for summons to get more ants to help him. As for oscar, there is a lot to pick from, but I would have Miguel and Tulio. They would be able to move around quickly, have a sword for fighting, and use the armadillo as a projectile. They can also act as a pallet swap for the same slot (similar to bowser jr. and the koopa kids).
I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of Prince of Egypt representation. It was Dreamwork’s first movie and one of their absolute best. I know it’s kinda weird to include since it’s a very different tone from the rest of Dreamwork’s library, but it’s their first film it’s gotta get representation. While Moses would be the best rep from a practical perspective, it’d be pretty weird to have a holy character from the Bible in your fighting game, so I think going with Ramses II, the antagonist of the film, would be a better choice.
I love the exterminator as a character. I like your roster, but I think it needs some more female representation, I think Goldilocks could be an addition, even though there are already a lot of Shrek characters. Fairy Godmother is a great pick. I think the furious five could be a transforming fighter, or if you play as master Shifu or Oogway, and rather than the five mysteriously transforming, their chi jade versions could pop in as smash attacks. For DLC, I see Barry B. Benson as a lock in, this would draw the hype. Most people would expect Tai Lung as a dlc character, but I think Po’s dad Mr. Ping would be hilarious with a cooking/ noodle move set. As much as I can’t stand the Boss Baby movie, he would 100% be in this. I think he has a sister or something in the sequel? Maybe she could be an echo fighter. I think it needs an el dorado character just to show the history of dreamworks. I think the dreamworks mascot would be a great joke character that people would be hyped over
To be fair, Nickelodeon produced some of the dreamworks animation shows when dreamworks was still part of paramount, not sure if was contracted or subsidiary. So yeah, it does fit in with the nicktoons characters. However, that was in the past as Dreamworks is still part of universal studio.
I am completely biased in saying that James Lake from the Tales of Arcadia series would make a good fighter. Is he the best pick for a fighter, let alone from one of their TV shows? Probably not, but I have a fairly solid idea for his moveset. He would essentially just be Shulk in a different flavor, allowing him to swap his primary weapons and whatnot like he does in the show. He would be slightly heavy, and subsequently more slow than some. The Final Smash Thing would probably involve the Trollhunters beating the hell out of the opponent.

For captain underpants’ final smash, it could be George and Harold doing a flip-o-Rama of the captain beating up the enemy which would be weak hits until mr. Krupp comes in and rips up the page, dealing so much damage
For the Arcade mode, make Death the Akuma of the game and the only way you can face him is by beating the Arcade mode without dying once. Also, maybe Tai Lung could be the final boss of the Arcade Mode.
This would be amazing! The battle would end with him just "stop fighting" rather than actually beat him like in the movie. He would banish from the stage with a final remark for each character and then whistling away like he did with Puss. For example, to Shrek he could say something like "Enjoy your family. Don't lose them again". Or "Enjoy your freedom... while it lasts" to Ginger from Chicken Run.

I love how Captain Underpants is in here. One for the homies- respect For another character, or should I say characters- how about George and Harold? They’re could work like the ice climbers is some aspect, but instead of ice, they use the hypno ring, super soaker, their skateboards, or literally anything, the possibilities are endless! For another video, how about a roster for a Disney smash bros, or even a Microsoft one, as it’s the only console to not ever have a fighting game on it.
@@mikeisntreal I think one character that DESERVES a spot is Felix The Cat. In case you don't know, Felix first appeared in 1919(YES, he's older than Mickey), and has since been basically forgotten by the public. However, he'd fit in for three reasons. 1, he's the oldest character that Dreamworks owns (yeah, he was bought by DW in the 2010s), 2, his rubber-hose body gives him a wide range of attack ideas, and 3, his Magic Bag defines "Anything you can think of". He'd be perfect for a Zoner/Brawler.
The books were a big part of my childhood, and I occasionally revisit them to this day. George and Harold are surprisingly good at fighting when you look into it. Given what they're like across every version, I see them as being status heavy fighters, relying on quick wit, quicker feet, and options for any situation (close range, projectiles, disjoint, approaching/escaping, etc) to outsmart their opponents and compensate for their lack of power and toughness. For example, give them a special where they pull out one of the many gadgets they get their hands on to inflict the opponents with a debuff or status effect, like using the Hypno Ring to reverse your controls, or the Shrinky-pig to weaken you and make you easier to ko. And that's just scratching the surface!
I think there was a missed opportunity to have the Dreamwork’s logo as a fighter. He could use crescent moon based projectiles and the fishing rod as attacks and focus on map control.

I would add Miguel and Tulio from Eldorado in the game. Both are good at swordfight, are agile and smart. Miguel can attack the others by smashing them with his guitar, Tulio can evade their moves and use Chell to kick them like Peach does with Toad. Would be cool to see! Since you put Jack, why not putting Pitch Black? He could evade everything by hiding in a shadow then sends nightmares to attack them. A move as terrifying as him 🙂 If this game would be made, it would be cool to have voice-acting. The characters could say a few lines before they fight and during the battle. Po would scream when he uses Kung-fu, Miguel can say '' Take that! '' when he uses his guitar, Pitch can do an evil laugh when he sends a nightmare against his adversary etc.
I have an idea: when jack reaches into his nanny bag, a small menu pops up kinda like heros from smash bros, and you can choose his magic staff and his other stuff, and his ultimate would be the magic snacks
The whole point in The Boss Baby as a character is that he's a baby that does adult things. I don't think you can treat him the same way as the Rugrats, who are realistic babies. (I realise I may be taking this discussion a little too seriously.)
STAGE IDEAS FOR EACH CHARACTER: Jack horner: wishing star map hazard: the wishing star walls will slowly close in on itself causing the fighters to move closer together like in the movie before going back out again ruby gillman: prom boat map hazard: the boat will sink downwards making the fighters to have to retreat the higher levels of the boat to avoid drowning until the water lowers shrek: his swap (obviously) map hazard: dragon (Elizabeth for die hard fans) will come will swoop in from he background and breath fire for 5-10 seconds on a specific random part of the map before flying of with the ground still on fire as the fighters avoid walking into it po: jade palace with the two separate platforms on the side being the peach tree mountain and the training hall building map hazard: a breeze of peach tree petals will fly around the map following the nearest fighter that when it catches up to them it fly of the stage with the fighter in its grasp tigress: the bridge the furious five and tai lung fight on map hazard: the bridge will break or loose its grip and collapse causing the fighters to have to jump across and fight on the rocky chasm platforms the bridge once hung before instantly half a minute later or less repairing itself in-between lord shen: shens series of boats going down the canal with his wolf army from from the 3rd act of kung fu panda 2 (as the combatants are able to jump from boat to boat) map hazard: shens canon will fire a lit cannon ball that will fly across the stage that explodes when it reaches the end making the combatants having to jump over or get out the way of master oogway: the spirit realm map hazard: kai's chained blade will swoop out from off screen and yank whoever it hits off stage aggressively as you hear kai's laugh doing as the background sky will turn green with his theme tune playing before the hazard even happens to alert the players to avoid it megamind: his "secret lab" map hazard: minion piloting the black mamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa in minions words and will bust through the roof playing a song on the boom box and will accidently causing the debris of the roof to collapse onto the fighters with the brain bots watching as minion tries to clean up the mess being the kind hearted character he is only for more debris to fall on the players before minion awkwardly walks away in the black mama suit titan: the city square map hazard the pointed edge of the sky scraper that titan threw in the film will slide across the street of the map of screen form the side map causing damage to anyone who torches the point to be impaled hiccup and toothless: the hidden world on a large flat crystal platform with the dragons flying around in the back ground map hazard: a random dragon of any kind will fly up next to the platform and breathing whatever element they have onto the stage puss in boots: the floating debris and objects of the 3 bears and goldy locks' destroyed house map hazard: the wishing star map will appear within the grasp of one of the fighters causing the 3 bears and goldy to chase after that fighter and accidently causing damage since their nice people and not evil if they get close enough making the fighter have to pass the map to the other fairy godmother: the performance stage outside the castle of far far away (obviously) map hazard: mongos the giant gingerbread man's foot will smash down on a random player giving them a warning once they hear his godzilla like roar Mr.Wolf: the car chase with the police as the fighters are jumping from car to car map hazard: an overhead road sign will swoop over the cars smacking anyone who is onto of the tallest car off the stage Grug: the slap monkey cave map hazard: the giant slap monkey will drag his giant hand across the map making the combatants having to hump over it or else they will be scooped from the stage Alex the lion: the entirety of Alex map hazard: if the fighters even go into the crowd the zookeepers will come and will tranquillise the player causing the player unable to move their fighter for 5-10 seconds the penguins: new york street near daves submarine ship from penguins from Madagascar map hazard: a stampede of mutant penguins will run around the stage trampling the combatants king julian: the plane that the penguins make in the 2nd film as its flying map hazard: the plane will crash before going back in the air again which the only way to avoid it is it jump as soon as the plane hits the ground captain underpants: the elementary school map hazard: poppy pants will appear in his giant toilet robot and will shrink the nearest player from around the building bonus map: isla nublar from jurassic world camp cretaceous (since dreamworks was involved with it and also tell me ideas for the map hazard for this map and also tell me your favourite map)
The Isla Nublar Hazard could be gyro spheres coming from the background to the foreground smacking players in their way. I love your Spirit Realm stage idea with Kai's blades and his killer theme the best.
I think that the DLC would make for a great opportunity to include some of Dreamworks' 2D characters like Sinbad, Eris, and Miguel and Tulio. They're kind of overlooked when it comes to the current Dreamworks brand because they haven't done a 2D film in a long time but they're still well loved by fans and I could see some of them getting in due to fan demand a la Jenny and Hugh from Allstar Brawl. Also it could be a rights issue but Wallace and Gromit would be super cool to see too.
I feel like Oscar could be a really fun joke character, like Phoenix Wright in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Maybe make his attacks rhythm based. Also, I feel like Hammy might also make for an Over the Hedge good rep. Have him be a rushdown character that's easy to launch but can deal considerable damage in a short amount of time in the right hands. He should definitely have his super speed and time stop, but also take from their arsenals from the video games. The fishing hook from the console game might make for a good up special and the boomerangs might make for a good neutral special. His down special could be an energy drink that acts as a counter, slowing down attackers al a Witch Time. Side B is just a super dash. Also, I disagree with the size issue. If Smash Bros is anything to go by, size doesn't matter. If you need further proof, I direct your attention to Super Robot Wars Z3.1 where you can defeat The Anti-Spiral King from Gurren Lagann with the Scopedog from VOTOMS- two characters of DRAMATICALLY different sizes. There's a video of just that on RUclips. Sorry for the wall of text. I just REALLY love Over the Hedge...

There are a few more things that you could add that would make it better:
1. Hiccup and Toothless being separate fighters doesn't really make sense. I could see them more being similar to Duck Hunt Dog or Ice Climbers from Smash Bros, two fighters working together as one playable character
2. Jumping off from the previous point, if Hiccup and Toothless become one fighter, maybe you could have Susan from Monsters vs. Aliens replace the missing slot? I would potentially see her as an agile fighter who would be difficult to hit but would have a mechanic that allows her to change her size (similar to the cartoon that I haven't seen people acknowledge). The tradeoff for this mechanic could be that the bigger Susan gets, she would hit harder, become bulkier, and reach further, but as a downside would end up becoming heavier, slower, and easier to hit. Her special attack could be something like Mega Man or Shulk, where her allies could come in and deal some damage, and she could deal the final blow
3. If this game were to have an arcade mode, I could see it having ten rounds with three lives each, with Shen always being the final match. And it could have a secret boss with thematically appropriate requirements. those requirements are: play it on the highest difficulty, and on the nine matches leading up to the final match, either die once on all but one match, or twice on four of them. then when you get to the final match, have the announcer get cut off from telling the player who the opponent is, have the arena be different, obscure the opponent and his icon in a dark smog, and as it fades away, have it accompanied by an all too familiar, bone-chilling whistle, until it reveals that Death is your new opponent. and as an extra bit of difficulty, he'll have the most aggressive AI in the game, both of you have one life each, and losing to him means that you have to restart from the very beginning
4. If there was a story mode, there could be a good amount of fun character interactions sort of like Dissidia Final Fantasy (IIRC). And if Susan did get into the game, I could see her and Ruby Gilman becoming great friends almost immediately, since, at least to me, I see a good amount of similarities between the two of them
I think Barry B Benson could have a fun, unorthodox moveset that involves using different Bee Jobs from the movie, and it would be great if he had a stinger move that did a ton of damage but also killed himself.
A character i wanna mention is Ken from Bee Movie, he in the film was shown as an agressive guy who was more than willing to get physicial. And seeing as he already has attacks you can adapt (winter boots, Tennis, and fire) he could flow easily into a platform fighter
Ken Vs. Verminator! I would definitely get the game just for that!
The Vermintor's super move should be a callback to the movie's climax where he is zapping the opponent with a taser until the both of them trip and fall into a cage trap and get attacked by the Depelter Turbo with the same cinematic shots from the movie, including the main animal characters watching on the side.

@@benjaminhuether3846 easy fix. Get Miguel and Tulio from El Dorado. They're iconic, 2-D, and fun to have in the game. If that doesn't work, how about Sinbad the sailor? Worst case scenario, fetch the bad guy priest dude from El Dorado instead of the guys.
I think Boss Baby would be added in a DreamWorks fighting game for the reason that m his franchise is more slapstick and "action" oriented, also no Rugrats in NASB is apparently just a decision on the devs of wanting to have Reptar as he's a cooler option for a fighting game.
Alex could be interesting if you had him with a "savage" mechanic that has him turn wild like in Madagscar 1 after he's too hungry, he'd be stronger and faster for a while or perhaps more likely to deal critical hits with higher knockback.

Kitty Softpaws should be one fo the DLCs because she is the GOAT. On top of that, I think Death would make a better villain representative from the Puss in Boots movie than the guy you chose (who I hate and have forgotten the name). Death could add a lot of variety, being a heavy but fast paced fighter who attacks with his scythes
While Monsters vs Aliens isn’t the most notable Dreamworks movie, it’s pretty well known and did well, so I could see B.O.B or Ginormica making it into the roster.
You should’ve included Eris from Sinbad, her teleporting floaty nature would’ve been really fun to use. Also El Dorado would’ve been cool, Miguel and Tulio as an ice climbers duo with Miguel using his guitar for close range and tulio throwing loaded dice as ranged.
since some people liked my stage ideas why not do a move list idea starting with my girl ruby gillman because she is one of my fav dreamworks characters next to po don't judge me
side special: this attack will function similar to the falcon punch in smash were the player will have to hold the button down as the captain falcon charges up his fist before punching while shouting falcon punch. Only hear as ruby is charging up her fist she wont say anything as rubys body armour will slowley cover her piece by piece before delivering a heavy armoured punch sending the opponent flying
up special: this one i went with an original idea that is not seen or mentioned in the movie but will have ruby blast a burst of ink shooting her up from beneath her since she is an octopus/squid (whatever krakens are meant to be and by the way the ink will come out of her feet if anyone askes)
natural special: she will shoot a long ranged lazer beam from her eyes that goes across the map whilst also having a small cooldown timer for 3-6 seconds
side tilt: will have ruby swoop out her pet nessie and have him or her bite down to the target before ruby pulls nessie away as the move finishes
down tilt: ruby having no bones will do a sick split with her legs whilst doing a 360 spin with them using her waste while doing it hitting opponents from both sides as she spin back up into her idle position once she's done
up tilt: have her stretch her elastic neck a shot distance up impaling anyone above her
down special: will have ruby camouflage as she will be able to wonder around the stage while cloaked with the only downfall being that the player wont even be able to see her either which could cause the player to accidently have her fall off the stage and the invisibility will be worn of if taken enough damage
taunts: her up taunt will have her sunglasses be spawned onto of her had as she then flicks them down over her eyes with her head like what she dose in the presentation at the beginning of the film, her side tilt will have her hand unintentionally grow big into her giant kraken hand as it shrinks back down once the taunt ends, and lastly for her down taunt will make ruby wrap her legs around the other followed up by her rapidly untangling them and becoming dizzy for a short time after the taunt

decent list, but I think verminator and oscar are not really worth adding. If it was my choice, I'd probably replace them with characters from the pre-shrek dreamworks era. For verminator, I'd probably put in General mandible from Antz. He could have some decent physical moves, while using his specials for summons to get more ants to help him. As for oscar, there is a lot to pick from, but I would have Miguel and Tulio. They would be able to move around quickly, have a sword for fighting, and use the armadillo as a projectile. They can also act as a pallet swap for the same slot (similar to bowser jr. and the koopa kids).

I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of Prince of Egypt representation. It was Dreamwork’s first movie and one of their absolute best. I know it’s kinda weird to include since it’s a very different tone from the rest of Dreamwork’s library, but it’s their first film it’s gotta get representation. While Moses would be the best rep from a practical perspective, it’d be pretty weird to have a holy character from the Bible in your fighting game, so I think going with Ramses II, the antagonist of the film, would be a better choice.

I love the exterminator as a character. I like your roster, but I think it needs some more female representation, I think Goldilocks could be an addition, even though there are already a lot of Shrek characters. Fairy Godmother is a great pick. I think the furious five could be a transforming fighter, or if you play as master Shifu or Oogway, and rather than the five mysteriously transforming, their chi jade versions could pop in as smash attacks.
For DLC, I see Barry B. Benson as a lock in, this would draw the hype. Most people would expect Tai Lung as a dlc character, but I think Po’s dad Mr. Ping would be hilarious with a cooking/ noodle move set.
As much as I can’t stand the Boss Baby movie, he would 100% be in this. I think he has a sister or something in the sequel? Maybe she could be an echo fighter.

To be fair, Nickelodeon produced some of the dreamworks animation shows when dreamworks was still part of paramount, not sure if was contracted or subsidiary. So yeah, it does fit in with the nicktoons characters. However, that was in the past as Dreamworks is still part of universal studio.
I am completely biased in saying that James Lake from the Tales of Arcadia series would make a good fighter. Is he the best pick for a fighter, let alone from one of their TV shows? Probably not, but I have a fairly solid idea for his moveset. He would essentially just be Shulk in a different flavor, allowing him to swap his primary weapons and whatnot like he does in the show. He would be slightly heavy, and subsequently more slow than some. The Final Smash Thing would probably involve the Trollhunters beating the hell out of the opponent.
I would also have different skins for some of the characters in a Dreamworks fighting game

For the Arcade mode, make Death the Akuma of the game and the only way you can face him is by beating the Arcade mode without dying once. Also, maybe Tai Lung could be the final boss of the Arcade Mode.
This would be amazing! The battle would end with him just "stop fighting" rather than actually beat him like in the movie. He would banish from the stage with a final remark for each character and then whistling away like he did with Puss.
For example, to Shrek he could say something like "Enjoy your family. Don't lose them again". Or "Enjoy your freedom... while it lasts" to Ginger from Chicken Run.

@@mikeisntreal I think one character that DESERVES a spot is Felix The Cat. In case you don't know, Felix first appeared in 1919(YES, he's older than Mickey), and has since been basically forgotten by the public. However, he'd fit in for three reasons. 1, he's the oldest character that Dreamworks owns (yeah, he was bought by DW in the 2010s), 2, his rubber-hose body gives him a wide range of attack ideas, and 3, his Magic Bag defines "Anything you can think of". He'd be perfect for a Zoner/Brawler.

The books were a big part of my childhood, and I occasionally revisit them to this day. George and Harold are surprisingly good at fighting when you look into it. Given what they're like across every version, I see them as being status heavy fighters, relying on quick wit, quicker feet, and options for any situation (close range, projectiles, disjoint, approaching/escaping, etc) to outsmart their opponents and compensate for their lack of power and toughness. For example, give them a special where they pull out one of the many gadgets they get their hands on to inflict the opponents with a debuff or status effect, like using the Hypno Ring to reverse your controls, or the Shrinky-pig to weaken you and make you easier to ko. And that's just scratching the surface!
I just have a feeling that if this was the actual roster the verminator would be top tier

This lineup actually looks VERY solid, if you want my opinion. There isn't a character I wouldn't cut from the roster, which is especially surprising for a fan-made lineup. The fact that we have two new franchises represented in the DLC doesn't hurt.

If this game would be made, it would be cool to have voice-acting. The characters could say a few lines before they fight and during the battle. Po would scream when he uses Kung-fu, Miguel can say '' Take that! '' when he uses his guitar, Pitch can do an evil laugh when he sends a nightmare against his adversary etc.
Give the 2D Dreamworks characters some love. Sinbad or the El Dorodo boys would slap. Also make a Disney Villains fighting game roster next

Why not throw in some characters from their Dreamworks classics line too ? Like Larry boy, Mr. Magoo , Felix the Cat, and Frosty the Snowman
I have an idea: when jack reaches into his nanny bag, a small menu pops up kinda like heros from smash bros, and you can choose his magic staff and his other stuff, and his ultimate would be the magic snacks
The whole point in The Boss Baby as a character is that he's a baby that does adult things. I don't think you can treat him the same way as the Rugrats, who are realistic babies.

STAGE IDEAS FOR EACH CHARACTER:
Jack horner: wishing star
map hazard: the wishing star walls will slowly close in on itself causing the fighters to move closer together like in the movie before going back out again
ruby gillman: prom boat
map hazard: the boat will sink downwards making the fighters to have to retreat the higher levels of the boat to avoid drowning until the water lowers
shrek: his swap (obviously)
map hazard: dragon (Elizabeth for die hard fans) will come will swoop in from he background and breath fire for 5-10 seconds on a specific random part of the map before flying of with the ground still on fire as the fighters avoid walking into it
po: jade palace with the two separate platforms on the side being the peach tree mountain and the training hall building
map hazard: a breeze of peach tree petals will fly around the map following the nearest fighter that when it catches up to them it fly of the stage with the fighter in its grasp
tigress: the bridge the furious five and tai lung fight on
map hazard: the bridge will break or loose its grip and collapse causing the fighters to have to jump across and fight on the rocky chasm platforms the bridge once hung before instantly half a minute later or less repairing itself in-between
lord shen: shens series of boats going down the canal with his wolf army from from the 3rd act of kung fu panda 2 (as the combatants are able to jump from boat to boat)
map hazard: shens canon will fire a lit cannon ball that will fly across the stage that explodes when it reaches the end making the combatants having to jump over or get out the way of
master oogway: the spirit realm
map hazard: kai's chained blade will swoop out from off screen and yank whoever it hits off stage aggressively as you hear kai's laugh doing as the background sky will turn green with his theme tune playing before the hazard even happens to alert the players to avoid it
megamind: his "secret lab"
map hazard: minion piloting the black mamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa in minions words and will bust through the roof playing a song on the boom box and will accidently causing the debris of the roof to collapse onto the fighters with the brain bots watching as minion tries to clean up the mess being the kind hearted character he is only for more debris to fall on the players before minion awkwardly walks away in the black mama suit
titan: the city square
map hazard the pointed edge of the sky scraper that titan threw in the film will slide across the street of the map of screen form the side map causing damage to anyone who torches the point to be impaled
hiccup and toothless: the hidden world on a large flat crystal platform with the dragons flying around in the back ground
map hazard: a random dragon of any kind will fly up next to the platform and breathing whatever element they have onto the stage
puss in boots: the floating debris and objects of the 3 bears and goldy locks' destroyed house
map hazard: the wishing star map will appear within the grasp of one of the fighters causing the 3 bears and goldy to chase after that fighter and accidently causing damage since their nice people and not evil if they get close enough making the fighter have to pass the map to the other
fairy godmother: the performance stage outside the castle of far far away (obviously)
map hazard: mongos the giant gingerbread man's foot will smash down on a random player giving them a warning once they hear his godzilla like roar
Mr.Wolf: the car chase with the police as the fighters are jumping from car to car
map hazard: an overhead road sign will swoop over the cars smacking anyone who is onto of the tallest car off the stage
Grug: the slap monkey cave
map hazard: the giant slap monkey will drag his giant hand across the map making the combatants having to hump over it or else they will be scooped from the stage
Alex the lion: the entirety of Alex
map hazard: if the fighters even go into the crowd the zookeepers will come and will tranquillise the player causing the player unable to move their fighter for 5-10 seconds
the penguins: new york street near daves submarine ship from penguins from Madagascar
map hazard: a stampede of mutant penguins will run around the stage trampling the combatants
king julian: the plane that the penguins make in the 2nd film as its flying
map hazard: the plane will crash before going back in the air again which the only way to avoid it is it jump as soon as the plane hits the ground
captain underpants: the elementary school
map hazard: poppy pants will appear in his giant toilet robot and will shrink the nearest player from around the building
bonus map: isla nublar from jurassic world camp cretaceous (since dreamworks was involved with it and also tell me ideas for the map hazard for this map and also tell me your favourite map)
The Isla Nublar Hazard could be gyro spheres coming from the background to the foreground smacking players in their way. I love your Spirit Realm stage idea with Kai's blades and his killer theme the best.
Gotta say, if a dreamworks fighting game were to happen; they'd cram "The Boss Baby" and "Trolls" in.

I think that the DLC would make for a great opportunity to include some of Dreamworks' 2D characters like Sinbad, Eris, and Miguel and Tulio. They're kind of overlooked when it comes to the current Dreamworks brand because they haven't done a 2D film in a long time but they're still well loved by fans and I could see some of them getting in due to fan demand a la Jenny and Hugh from Allstar Brawl. Also it could be a rights issue but Wallace and Gromit would be super cool to see too.
I thought we were lacking without Miguel and Tulio. The villains could be great too
I feel like Oscar could be a really fun joke character, like Phoenix Wright in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Maybe make his attacks rhythm based.
Also, I feel like Hammy might also make for an Over the Hedge good rep. Have him be a rushdown character that's easy to launch but can deal considerable damage in a short amount of time in the right hands. He should definitely have his super speed and time stop, but also take from their arsenals from the video games. The fishing hook from the console game might make for a good up special and the boomerangs might make for a good neutral special. His down special could be an energy drink that acts as a counter, slowing down attackers al a Witch Time. Side B is just a super dash.
Also, I disagree with the size issue. If Smash Bros is anything to go by, size doesn't matter. If you need further proof, I direct your attention to Super Robot Wars Z3.1 where you can defeat The Anti-Spiral King from Gurren Lagann with the Scopedog from VOTOMS- two characters of DRAMATICALLY different sizes. There's a video of just that on RUclips.
