new fisher here, i am trying to catch largemouths by jigging and i always try to keep yanking my line the whole time im reeling in for. You see seem to be reeling in really quickly and barely yanking or flicking your line, so what should I do?
I am also a bank fisherman here in NJ. It is crazy how many anglers discared fishing line.I have untangled 2 birds and a goose thru the years.At least we care

nycparks website has a ton of info on fishing in nyc. It is Barbless hooks, catch and release, and you need a fishing license

What weight jig head do you use? Beginner over here. I’ve only fished prospect a handful of times I’ve had luck once with a small bass.
Its not too deep. Depends on the section, but anywhere between 1/64 - 1/8th oz covers the park
