    Informative video. But my gosh man, seriously, you need to make your bed, pick up your clothes, and not leave a plate of food. All that on camera is really annoying. Clean up a little bit and we will take you more seriously. I don't mean this in a mean way, just something for you to think about for your other videos.

    I feel if you have the chance to lock in for 20 years-take it. Portugal just closed the golden visa, Turkey citizenship by investment recently doubled in cost. Obviously it depends on your financial situation and your unique travel requirements- ideal for many, not so great for the majority. Great video- answered almost everything

    Thanks a lot for this pile of valueable information. Do you maybe have an idea what happens if you have a visa based on a Elite Easy Access Membership and get a job in Thailand incl. work visa within the five years ?
    Since in general, you only can have one valid visa at a time, I would assume the elite visa is invalidated. But what happens e.g. if you quit/ loose the employment ? Will it be possible to reactivate the elite visa again ?

    • @routergods
      @routergods  Год назад +2

      You are allowed to have the elite visa and work permit at the same time, but only one can be activated. So you would need to exit and come back on the work permit. As far as I know, the Elite Visa sticker expiration date stays the same. If you lose the work permit, you leave and come back as elite.

    Great tips on the payment hassle. This is very good to know in advance. Not that is has applied to you, but I understand if you don’t leave Thailand during the one year stamp period, it will cost 2,000 THB to get an updated 1 yr. Stamp from Immigration. Although clearly not a big amount, it’s annoying to keep paying if you don’t leave Thailand.

    Great video, great content! A couple of questions:
    1. After getting your elite visa, when you travel in and out of thailand, does your visa stamp date gets automatically extended by one year from the date you arrive back in thailand? If so, does this mean your 5-year elite visa never gets to hit that 5 year end date assuming you travel every year in and out of thailand?
    2. There is no requirement to apply for multiple-entry visa every time you travel in and out of thailand right?
    3. For elite visa holders, is the money in your Thai bank account subject to annual taxation?
    4. After your 5-year elite visa is up, do you intend to extend the elite visa to another 15 years or do you at that point in time prefer opting to apply for a retirement visa instead?
    Your comments/clarifications deeply appreciated.

    good info mate , well spoken .... I'm in the process of selling everything in Australia and moving to LOS which should happen within 2yrs .......... I always wondered about the private taxi going to Pattaya as there was no mention of it anywhere even taking 3 trips off you is still a good deal as a taxi to Pattaya is around 1,300 - 1,500baht each way so you say 8 trips = 12,000baht so same same as 24 trips a year as you mentioned . I'm on the understanding you send/drop off you passport to your agent for the 90 day reporting and they do it for you at no cost to you as they get a commission from Elite themselves

    • @routergods

    A Thai Elite agent told me that you can upgrade from the 5 yr Elite visa to the 20 yr superiority extension anytime during the 5 year period. Sure hope he is correct as my plan is to get the 5 yr and then keep an eye on the different visa options that come out in the next 3 - 5 years. If they offer one that I qualify for and does not have many hassles I will opt for it. If not, I will extend to the 20 year for another 400,000.

There is also the stipulation that you can show 65000 Thai baht per month from retirement income. But this needs to be in an affidavit from your home embassy and most embassies will not provide the affidavit. So why would I tie up 800,000 Thai baht in a Thai bank account AND have the annual hassles of renewing the 1 yr retirement visa while I could plunk down 600,000 baht (5 yr Thai Elite) or 1,000,000 baht 20 yr Thai Elite) without the annual hassles. I wouldn't pay any country $17,000 just for the privilege of living there 20 years. If that amount is inconsequential to you fine, but I can live in other countries without just handing them 17k.
