My wife and I have been on the Viking Sea twice. It probably should be mentioned, in addition to the great job you did, that all rooms are outside balcony’s. I think one of my favorite features in the room is the heated floor in the bathroom (especially at 3:00 am). Nice job and we can’t wait to get back on a Viking ship. They’ve pretty much spoiled other cruise lines for us.
I particularly like the heated floor in the bathroom as well. Viking is rated #1 for its category (Medium) cruise ships for a very good reason. When they say all-inclusive, it really is and the service is top notch.
Absolutely! It's hard to beat. That bathroom was the best bathroom I've ever had on a ship. I'm glad you loved Viking as much as me! Thanks for your comment 😊👍🏼
Great video, Emma! My wife and I are going on the Viking Sky in a few months, and we're so looking forward to it! But I wouldn't be too concerned about Viking's attention to detail ruining the cruise experience on other ships, because folks travel on those ships for completely different reasons. My wife and I are really eager to have a restful and informative cruise with Viking, but others need water slides, bingo, casinos and daycare. Families with noisy children will always need the other lines.
Nowhere to put your clothes a suite has more storage. The Viking star was beautiful so many little touches lights on floor by bed at night. Public ladies room birds chirping. Best cruise ship ever but it was pricey.
I think Viking looks like the ideal cruise for a romantic holiday , just for two !! We've never been anywhere without kids ,, this looks a perfect cruise .Better start saving lol .x Thanks for advice Emma .
Hey Susan, I can text in most of Europe without extra charge. I don’t ‘text’ I use WhatsApp or messenger mostly so as long as I have internet, all good. 😀
These Viking ships look so beautiful, I'm sure they are a lot more expensive than other cruises. I'm sure it's worth it and could be a special experience .Thanks for the tour .
Hey Julie! They do... But there is a lot more included in the price so value wise its actually really good. Includes excursions in every port, WiFi etc... Have you ever considered Viking? Before this I always just looking at them sail past haha.
Great vid Emma! I love this stateroom - the bathroom is huuuuge and I really like the clever touches like a desk that converts with a make-up mirror .. the designers obviously put a lot of thought into the features and the overall design. I am sold on Viking after seeing your tours of this ship 😁
It all depends on what you're looking for in a cruise. It doesn't have mini water parks, casino's, bumper cars, and all of the other glitzy stuff that a ship like Norwegian or RCL has. Viking is all about eloquence, relaxation, and cultural education. It is pricier when you go to book your trip, but it has a lot of stuff included that other cruise lines don't tell you about. I have never been on a cruise with any other cruise line before, but from what I have heard....you can get a post cruise bill from Norwegian for around $1000 for example. With Viking your post cruise bill might be $100. I know someone's post cruise bill that was $36!! You get a free excursion at every port, beer and wine are included at lunch and dinner. Water, soda, specialty coffee's, and teas are always included. Specialty restaurants are included. The spa is included except for massages or other treatments.Room service is included with whatever you want. Your room gets serviced twice a day, and your room steward will have your name remembered in about 5 hours of you being on the ship. Wifi is also included, and I'm probably forgetting some other stuff.
Top video, very impressive ship. We have sailed on smaller ships, the cruise experience isn't harmed unless you want water parks, flow riders etc, At 67 I dont need such things. :)
Climbing walls are struggle. I can manage mini golf but my speciality is the restaurants, I am a lot of space to be a waste of, a similar turning circle to a cruise ship. :)
I just rediscovered your channel after a long absence. The last time I saw your channel you had not yet cruised Viking. I’m glad to see you have and even more glad that you found it so enjoyable. My first cruise was on the Viking Sea on one of her first voyages in her maiden season. Viking certainly set the bar high. I’ve been back for both ocean and river cruises. I think of Viking as my home away from home. Enjoy!!!
Very nice tour and very nice ship, i like Viking Ocean Cruises because they are best to me, they have best rooms, best suites (explorers cabin i think is its name is) And very good pools and infinity pool is my favorite on all ships i have been on, very nice
Hi Emma, makes me want to book! Got to do my Caribbean cruise on Britannia first though and see how much I like it! Nice to see the cabins - thank you :-)) Viv
Yesss! I'm really excited for you to take that cruise. I did like Britannia! Viking are on a whole new level though for me (price tag to go with it) 😂😂😂
@@viviennekenyon2306 Think they're just completely different products tbh! Lot more entertainment on Britannia but it's also a lot busier (and a lot bigger!). Both were great but different for sure. If I could pick I'd probably pick Viking but if prefer 2 Britannia cruises than 1 Viking and that's probably the same price haha!
Emma, I really enjoy your videos so I just subscribed. I've been on two Viking cruises and was really super impressed. Did you find the safe? It's under the coffeemaker.
Wow, thanks to you, we are so ready for our Seine River cruise in September. We didn't think our balcony was walkout but now we know. We are vaccinated so I hope we don't have to mask up while on board.
There's a huge amount of $$$$ difference to go to Penthouse cabin. The extra space would be nice but not really necessary, when there's so much other space around. Even on level 3, lounge chairs overlooking the atrium. I travelled twice on longer trips (25-30 days) in cabins around 170sq feet. It wasn't a problem. These on Viking are 100 sq feet larger. I'm sure it will be fine

@@EmmaCruises How do they work the free shore excursion with each port? Is this limited to a certain couple of excursions or to whatever excursions they offer?
@@EmmaCruises No, but i will sometime in the future. I heard that they have orderd 14 new ships from 2019 to 2028, exactly the same size as the other. Every ship takes 944 passengers. I just finished a cruise on the Viking Sky. It was beyond my expectations. With one exception everything was perfect.
Your right,no more Carnival no way, Viking, and Silversea, cost more but you gat more.
My wife and I love Viking; and yes, they have spoiled us to other cruise lines.
A wonderful spacious, bright cabin. Do you remember what grade iy was or cabin number? We're planning to do the lowest grade.
very nice size bathrooms for sure
The bathroom floor is heated and the bed lights dim.
Great review.
I had to keep reminding myself that you are on a ship and not in a Motel/Hotel. That's a big cabin.
Yeah!!! Crazy right?!
Yeah, comparing this bathroom to the one on that monstrous thing from Virgin Cruises, just blows my mind!
Oh yeah considering they wanted to charge the same price... happy to say the prices are much lower now, 😀💕

Lovely cabin only let down by the lack of storage space. You need to shell out for a Penthouse Veranda to get decent drawer space.

Certainly looks a great sized room. After staying in it, how noisy was it, could you hear people in the other rooms?
We cruised viking, and also voiking river cruise. Heard nothing. Then again, the clientele are not the rambunctious type.
Are the ceilings low or are you tall? You palmed the ceiling. 🤣🤣
