- Thing (Ben Grimm) Anatomy Explored - Is Her Internals Also Made Up Of Rock? Can He Become A Father?

Brother Grim is a force of nature. He is the earth spirit and represents determination.
One Thing that I admire about how the character has been represented over the decades is that Brother Ben never quits training
Not your brother
@@user-pm6nx1fs2w and as such you bow out of the bro code, your partner is now free game, your jokes shall fall on deaf ears and no one will spot you at the gym. You are now simply "guy" and pitied for your lack of bros.
@@80sRetrosaur trying to sound sophisticated does not work. Barney reference love it though
@@user-pm6nx1fs2w A Bro is never sophisticated, nor is he crude. He speaks as eloquently as he means to.
I'm just in a silly mood today.
@@80sRetrosaur unlike other Tubers, I can take the jokes (Cuz I know they are). Funny
It's Clobbering Time!
I'm pretty sure no other marvel character has a really lame catchphrase like that.
@@robertjackson1813 it’s morbin time 🤓
Cm Punk
Getting a tattoo of the think right above your genitalia with a speech bubble that says it’s slobbering time
@@robertjackson1813what about power man (Luke cage) sweet Christmas! Or novas “blue blazes”. Thors ol’ “by the bristling beard of Odin”. Wonder woman’s “suffering Sappho or merciful minerva. Johny storms “flame on” maybe beasts “oh my stars and garters. And even though it’s a joke it’s still bad Deadpool’s “maximum effort”
Those are the ones that come to mind. Lots of silly and bad ones out there. Some still persisting.
Sure the thing is only as durable as the material he's made of, but he's also an animated rock, with some kind of rock-like connective tissue etcetera. Biological organisms have an incredible resilience in absorbing different forces, etcetera. Two very different things happen when the hulk is punching a rock or if he's punching a living rock. You really have to think about the strength of metal that can flex vs metal that cannot.
the end result is the same, hulk smash, ben wont stop fighting, never will, but when your fighting someone with canonically infinite strength, your gonna lose, but standing up to a foe you know you cant beat, that is what makes a hero well, a hero. only time ben beats the hulk is with 1 hit, thats how the hulk is tho, you either hit him with everything all at once and end the fight, or you lose, ben is strong enough to 1 hit the hulk, but if the hulk is already angry enough, kick rocks.
@@bored588 he's actually beaten him a couple of times
The book Marvel Anatomy: A Scientific Study of the Superhuman explains a bit of Ben's physiology. Also a few minor corrections and additions to this video. Ben can reproduce and it is confirmed by Stan Lee that Ben does have a junk in his rock form. Skadi is the daughter of Red Skull not Red Hulk. He can turn to human randomly for 1 week an entire year not 1 day. Ben has 3 weaknesses the person in the video stated two of them. The third weakness is that despite the fact that he's super strong and super tough he can still be affected by regular human illnesses.
You know I used to be irritated by people who thought he didn't or wondered if he still did. But after doing some research on my own, ifound here have been times where he's been completely but naked with a Barbie doll Anatomy, beyond the 2015 Fantastic Four film. So I can understand now why people would think that
If Ben Grimm could father a kid it would be a chip off the old block! 💯
That's a rock solid joke right there
Ben’s the only member of his species. “Uncatalogued DNA detected. DNA now available” - Omnitrix.
That old school Thing costume is badass and is pretty spot on
The thing has always looked accurate in every form of media he's ever been in. Even the 2015 film, we're talking about his physicality not his level of nudity
The willingness to put yourself on the line, for the sake of others, is what defines a hero. It's all about heart. How much you're willing to endure, and how much you're willing to push back for the right reasons. And by those measurements , Ben Grimm, before the cosmic rays and after, is a genuine hero. A true idol of millions.
People really don't understand just how powerful adamanium is. Wolv is no where near as strong as ben, but he could out last him any day. And Adamanium can easily cut through stone. It's basically a char with max str vs a char with max def, but who also has armor piercing.
Exactly this. Wolverine’s claws has cut through the Hulk’s skin, Namor’s skin, Thor’s skin, Colossus’s metal form, so why does this video assume that he wouldn’t be able to cut Ben?
Not to mention superior speed, agility, reflexes, regeneration, stamina, fighting technique etc. The thing has the strength to knock the Wolverine down but is vastly outclassed in other areas.
@@kriss3907
So true. Most people forget that on top of his insane Regen, and his almost indestructible skeleton, Wolv also is a super human on top of all that. Not as strong as cpt America, but no one is. Humans anyway
Rock skin, iron will, and nerves of steel.
He's my favorite member of the fantastic four.
Merit and knowing yourself while accepting judgement makes a hero
Great video. You covered the Thing very well. Ben Grimm also has couple of Master's degrees and training as an Air Force test pilot. Pretty top notch stuff. We always end up with comparisons between Hulk and Thing. Well, they have been tussling since the 60's. But as I've written before....yes, the Hulk is ultimately stronger, after all he's stronger than anyone in a protacted battle. But if you want a heavy hitter who's also very intelligent AND a team player, you pick the Thing for your team. If this a total destruction battle where you need a nuclear bomb, you pick the Hulk.
Nah he was a sports player and not very smart
Ben Grimm doesn't get enough credit. Dude is on another level than most.
Ben also has an enhanced healing factor.
I prefer the 6 foot Thing. Compared to the larger strongmen of Marvel, it was cool to see the "smaller" guy clobbering one of them. I also hate how the vary Wolverine's ability to cut. They've already stated that Adamantium is one of the strongest materials in Marvel, but Wolverine lacks the strength to penetrate a lot of objects or beings. So when I read the book and saw he slashed the Thing, I'm like he's tanked cosmic blasts and punches from the Hulk...but it is fantasy lol
Thing is one of my favorite heroes. His bravery makes up for his underclassed strength when going against superclass hitters. It is impossible not to root for him
Bro he's basically a super strong armadillo
My favorite member of the Fantastic Four!
The thing about the Thing that I love is his heart. He knows full well that he may lose the battle against the Juggernaut and the Hulk he still goes head up with them.
i'm not sure if this question has been explored, but if the longer that the Fan4 are separated which results in their losing powers/abilities and becoming very vulnerable , then wouldn't Van Doom be negatively affected as well? Since he is never around these other four, but was present in their unsanctioned space flight and in the same solar storm, which had changed all of their DNA at the same time?
Van Doom isn't canonical to that supposed aspect of the FF's power. Victor von Doom (the source material, Earth 616, comic character) doesn't derive his powers from the same cosmic incident. Doom uses technology and sorcery.
The movies that empowered him using cosmic rays did so to compress the story. Movies often give the archenemy an origin linked to the protagonists.
All of that said, I've been reading FF for decades and was quite unaware (of forgot) that's a thing. I mean, it makes sense and would be a cool side effect, but I would think that's actually a writer's contribution that had since been ignored/reversed/retconned.
I mean, let's all think about Thing's longing to be human. One would think if he could simply avoid Reed, Sue, and Johnny for 3 months or so and turn back to human, that he would have (even if he had to heroically give up his humanity to rejoin them for the greater good some other time).
I need to look that "fact" up; but I can more see the powers becoming wonky after prolonged separation, not actually fading. It'd be a cool exploration that Thing gets weaker and becomes less mobile but doesn't change back; Reed gets more gelatinous and can't hold his shape properly; Sue starts to fade and forcefields weaken; and Johnny starts to randomly combust and/or takes longer to Flame off.
What also makes me wonder if that's at all a thing is, Johnny was a solo act for months, and Ben was similarly only around Alicia, yet both had their normal levels of power the entire time in the most recent run.
Where are these thumbnails coming from? They're awesome, the colossus one and now this really make me want to see a better quality full image somehow
Agreed. They all have been pretty frigging cool
Marvel released a book called Marvel Anatomy: A Scientific study of the Superhuman.
Ah. Thanks! Exactly what I wondered
Can someone please tell me where they’re getting the biology textbook esque thumbnail? It’s not the DC or Marvel anatomy guides
I think they should have kept him a former Marine. It fit his personality . . . .
He was air force from the start. He's a pilot remember. Also his personality comes from his hood life
Can u do video on the anatomy of celestials from mcu
Thing should have a little bird that lives on him like those rhinoceros birds. It would pick out the bugs and warn him of danger. The bird could have its own superpowers and backstory
Lol. As ridiculous as that could sound, that would also be a funny addition. Now you got me thinking that at the very least Rhino should have one!
@@bajansamurai oh yeah..... didn't even think about him. Weird I didn't seeing as I mentioned rhinos lol
The daughter of Red Skull not Red Hulk. Seriously let me help you edit your scripts. You guys screw up every episode.
If the original FF4 abilities feed off each other & if they are separated for an extended period of time they're powers diminish than how does Thing retain his powers in the future if the other original FF4 members died off ages ago? Wouldn't he start to devolve back into normal Ben as centuries go by cause his powers diminish & in time dissipate completely?
On you're next video can you talk about M.O.D.O.K Anatomy please
"tens of centuries"
Thousands. You mean thousands.
Bro where do you get all these anatomy pictures from? I want them as my wallpapers
I very much agree that those thumbnails look sick AF for each character that they do
The Fantastic 4 have one of the best origin stories in the Marvel comic books. I just wish that the movies would get it right!
Ben is and always will be one of my Top 10 favorite superheroes of all time! And it’s honestly bc of his WILLPOWER. Nobody in the Marvel Universe even comes close to matching it! 🫶
Can you do Spider-Man anatomy (also I just want to add based off the comics and feats Spider-Man has proven to be stronger than the thing too just saying since Spider-Man has better lifting, striking, scaling and blunt durability feats
Please do human torch next
so thats why hes called the champion of the universe
The thing is one of my wifes is often fantasising about the potential of his rock organs. I blame the MallRats film
can you make a video about warlock (not adam) pls? Man i love your channel ! 🔥
Warlock, one from horror movies?
@@MarvelousVideos the robot , if you know the game Marvel contest of champions you have seen him
Cool video, just one critique though. The Thing may be strong but that strength does not equate to durability so it makes sense that he would lose to Wolverines adamantine claws which is the most durable material in the marvel universe.
10:35 The Thing destroyed her womb, mate.
I vaguely recall someone making prosthesis for Ben to text with.
In the 2015 version was Planet Zero
Thing has been my favorite hero since the 70,s!! He rocks!
So if he is combating a meta human being who can Create and manipulate the Earth or Inorganic matter, would he lose instantly?
I've always thought that Terrax would be able to rip the rocks off of him.
For real the hulk is literally lifted up a mountain and we're supposed to think that the hulk has problems with just a boulder from that mountain
the fantastic four movies were fever dreams
The human torch used to burn his butt all the time and he felt it so he does have a sense of touch
You should do Mister Fantastic next.
Why is it sooo hard to get a question answered from Marvelous Videos??
Ben Grim is Marvel comics royalty
A underrated Power house.
"how bad is it? ya know i used to smoke"
I love this character
Come on Marvelous! Keep this shit up. I love Thing!!!
Whem GRIMM tires...he loses a little strength... When Hulk tires...he changes back to a normal man
None of this was about anatomy
The Thing is awesome and Shayla’s a beaut.
Great video, however let's remember his insane ability to hold his breath, with his increased lung capacity. Also with his rocky exterior, he is able to withstand extreme pressures.
So the Thing has a lifespan 365 times longer than ours, that's 29,200 years whoa😮😮
19:43 Not a day; he is in human form for a week each year. That's also why he timed his honeymoon with Alicia corresponds with that cycle, so he would have a week with his wife as a human being, and possibly try to have kids. Of course the Hulk showed up and ruined that plan, as Ben was out like a light for a week from his injuries.
Alisha has learned how to touch Ben. She caresses Ben like he is one of her clay statues when they are together.
Can you do Morbius anatomy
I've never heard their powers were connected and they'll lose them if they are separated that's hard to believe
So ol' Benji went full on AoT on old metal face...Nice
Imagine if Thing fight Abomination?
Nothing about the 2015 X-Universe iteration of The Thing from F4ntastic??
If his insides were normal and soft and got punched by hulk it would just explode inside like Iron Man should... but plot armor
Are the fantastic four based on four classical elements (air, earth, fire, and water)?
No
There's a comic called Timeslip Collection. In this comic the FF are able to maniplute the flour classical elements in tandem with their powers. Ben has Earth, Johnny has Fire, Sue has Air, and Reed has Water.
Micheal Chiklis played the perfect Thing.
You mean the earth-121698 version of ben grimm
your age information has to be wrong, if he only aged 1 day a week, after 3000 years, he would of only actually aged 8 years
Internally is still physically, in the context you used the word
ITS A LANDSLIIIIIIDE!! 😂😂
can you pls do carnage
0:35 uhmmmm actually this image is of Sharon Ventura, the She-Thing, not Ben.
I still believe the thing design from the horrific 2010’s fox movie was the best yet
18:20 Sin is the daughter of Red Skull, not Red Hulk.
Cool. Love the thing ❤❤❤❤
The puns...so many...PUNS...
You definitely downplayed wolverines claws
strenth and durability arent the same. thing is tough as nails but is not invulnerable wolverines claws only real limitation is how strong he is on the power scale in comparison to thing
This was posted 5 hours ago.
The closest character you have in marvel to a green lantern is Gladiator.
How does Hulk run on fumes? The Hulk has unlimited power because the madder he gets the stronger and bigger he gets as portrayed in the comics and only once in the movies like in the first Hulk where Betty Ross states "your only fueling his rage" that's why I can't stand a lot of the MCU movie scenarios they leave the Hulks true power out of them, the Thing is a power dynamo but the Hulk is power incarnate with limitless power.
Ben can't wipe!
Actually yes Ben's organs are stone too😊
Isn’t that the female Thing at 35 seconds?
21:25 so then how does he have children?
Yes
Ben bleeds rotella-t
Well he use to smoke😂
Actually Ben Grimm being Jewish , he was transformed into a Golom and that's what his code name should have been!!!!!!
Yay!! :)
He can reproduce because it is rock solid.
BUT CAN HE REPRODUCE???
I've the quickest answer, whatever the writers want him to have underneath that 🪨 hard body of his is what he's gonna have. Lol Also, she said THINGS eventually reverted to his original state,YOU GET IT????
7:00
Im usually against AI but you seem yo be using them surprisingly appropriately
That's because my voice isn't AI :P
A lot of this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this video whatsoever.
It may have not have been the best movies but dam they were good looking thing costumes
He was exposed to gamma rays more then once... I don't know who makes these videos they need to go back to the 70s and catch up.. and wolverine actually got to the meat
😊
Just noticed that they follow some states of matter, The Thing (solid), Mr Fantastic (liquid), Invinsible Woman (Gas), and Human Torch (plasma)
