    #recipe #cookingwithrexy #blueberryscones #pastry
    Ingredients & measurements:
Bake @ 350 for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Everyone’s oven is different, so keep an eye on them. ☺️
    Scones:
2 cups of all-purpose flour (plus more for rolling)
    1/2 cup of sugar
    2 & 1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt (I use pink Himalayan, Kosher works as well)
1 stick of butter, frozen (grated) (I use salted)
1/2 cup of buttermilk, plus 2 tbsp for brushing tops of scones, prior to baking.
    1 large egg
    2 tsp of vanilla extract
    2 cups of fresh blueberries
    1 tsp of lemon zest
    1/2 tsp of orange zest
Glaze: 1 - 2 cups of powdered sugar & a few tbsp of lemon juice - fresh or bottle. (I eyeball this until it’s the consistency I want)
    Enjoy! 😋🫐

Hey honey.. first, thank you for watching. I appreciate you. ☺️ And, normally my ingredients and measurements are in my description box under each video. But with the shorts, they’re also in my description - but they are a little more tricky to find. Sorry about that, that’s RUclips. Lol So next to the short you’ll find in the upper right hand corner, 3 dots… click on that and you’ll see a list of stuff, click on “description” and it’ll pull it up. Hope that helped. I’ve copied them and put them here for you. Hope you love these as much as I do. 🤍

question..: do we pour the blueberry straight out of the packaging or do we need to wash the blueberry first?

    • @CookingWithRexy
      @CookingWithRexy  Год назад +2

Always wash your fruit first. These were washed first!! (If you look close you can see they’re all wet) I just wash them in the original containers, It helps strain the water better. ☺️

    Can I use milk ?

Mine came out extremely runny idk why it might have been the blueberries but I made mine into a loaf of bread 😂

Really!?! I’m sorry!! That’s very strange, if anything you would have had to add liquid to it, as this is a drier dough!! You sure you only used 1 egg and 1/2 cup buttermilk!? 🤔 To 2 cups flour, with other dry ingredients … maybe try again!? I don’t know what could have gone wrong. But, I doubt it was the blueberries. Unless you used frozen!? Maybe. Idk. My ingredients and measurements are in my description box if you want to try this again. (You should as this is seriously amazing scones 😋) I’m sorry again that happened. 😔 But.. how was the loaf!? 😉 And thank you for watching. ♥️

@@CookingWithRexyyou know what now that I’m trying to visualize it … I might have used a whole cup of buttermilk instead of half 😂 I’ll have to try it again soon. Also the loaf was really good. My toddler likes it 😊

@@CookingWithRexy ok so I tried it again and I did need to use a bit more flour than the recipe but I think next time I’ll just use less buttermilk but anyway!! They came out so good I love the texture!
