Yeah, I think it'll come, Microsoft is pro getting its OS on as many systems as possible, so I'm sure they'll update it as much as possible to support ARM.
I feel like returning my MacBook Air cos Revit doesn’t run with the new M1 chip. But I found a temporary work around. I run teamviewer on my iMac and MacBook Air and that’s how I use Revit. Cos my iMac is the 5K retina 27” that is intel based. Autodesk needs to get their shit together!

It has a free trial, but is PAID, however there are freeware (VirtualBox) and open source alternatives (QEMU) worth checking out if you just want to have a play around.

I don't think external drives work on the Parallels preview, but you can always move the VM to a SSD and run it from there.
