I am learning how to manicure my wife's nails. My wife is bedridden and unable to use her hands. I enjoy painting my wife's nails. I have purchased many different types of nail polish. I have a question, I just purchased a nail dryer a SHANY Cosmetic Salon Expert 54W Dual Hand Professional Nail Dryer. I have not received the nail dryer yet. My question to you is how do I tell what setting do I use, fan or lights?
This is a lovely tutorial, I love the professionalism and the elegance. Needless to say that is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen, it actually simple to follow and not harmful for the nail. That's a job really well done.
A lovely manicure. As a recently graduated/licensed nail tech I never learned how to do a proper massage on a client! I will watch this video over and over to learn these movements so I can offer this to my clients. Thanks for such an informative and relaxing video. 🙂
Ok so until recently I didn’t know about ASMR but this gives me the same feeling I would watch this or other full makeup tutorials just to make me sleepy- any one else?
Excellent tutorial! Very relaxing to watch and the steps are very easy to follow. Love the look of your salon. Best video I have seen. Thanks for sharing!
This was absolutely EXCELLENT!!! Truly and seriously the best tutorial video that I have ever seen. I really am serious. I've watched a lot of videos and yours is so thorough, and all of your tips, thank you for sharing. Do you provide certification at all?
Finally someone with a common sense who does not abuse the nail and cuticle with torture tools! Thanks so much for this excellent tutorial! ♥ Love your beautiful salon! If I ever in UK, I will definitely stop by your place and get a good manicure :) Where did you get that gorgeous blue chair in the background?
I’m a guy that got a manicure this past weekend and I loved it! First time ever and even decided to get red polish :). Such a great experience and plan on doing it again.
I discovered asmr through watching this cause I got sleepy when I watched this and as I tried to fined more like this I discovered asmr... the results are I now love asmr!! But I still come back to watch this video :)
Very professional and great detail. The massage was very relaxing to watch. You give you clients good care. Q would you have some ideas why my nails are splitting? Pealing too.
If it is on the nail plate then I recommend you use a cuticle knife. Try and use this professionally or go to a salon as it is very easy to cut yourself with and always use it wet usually with cuticle oil. This will make your nail plate smooth and will remove any excess peeling. You could strengthen your nails by filing to keep them nice and even; you can also harden them by going to your local salon and asking for nail hardener. Some people can't always grow long strong nails naturally just like hair. But always maintain a healthy diet. I hope I helped :)
Great instructions and tutorial. I'm a UK educator and would love to send your video link to students for eduction purposes if your happy for me to do so?
if you are referring to the line of red polish left on one of the nails, I don't think that would matter, since she was using the same color, also, most polishes stain the surface of the nail and is hard to take off
+Edmund spencer I am sure this reply is a bit late, but for the nail dryer you want to use the fan setting to dry any regular nail polish, these 'regular' polishes are usually called a nail Lacquer, nail varnish, nail enamel, or nail polish. Now, i don't know exactly what kind of 'light setting' you are referring to, but The light setting is usually used for gel polishes, these gel polishes will come with special instructions on how to use the light to dry them, hope this helped :)
A number of flaws in this demonstration unfortunately. Cap the nails, she says. Shame she didn't follow her own advice! Most importantly though she clipped the eponychium (the skin on your finger around the base of the nail plate), you should never do this as you are actually inflicting more damage causing the skin to harden again, resulting in a vicious circle of clipping/hardening/clipping/hardening. The more you clip, the harder the skin will become around the nail! The eponychium is often referred to as the cuticle, which is incorrect. The cuticle is the very fine layer of skin actually on the nail itself, this can be softened and removed or softened and gently pushed back but only to the eponychium - never pushed underneath as you may damage the nail matrix. You should never break the seal between the nail plate and the eponychium, the cuticle is a shedding of skin from this seal as your nail grows, so is dead skin. The eponychium is living tissue on your finger! The only way to resolve the issue of a hardened eponychium is to moisturise, moisturise, moisturise. Never, ever clip.
Can I tell you how much I appreciate this info & someone that knows what they are talking about?! I have been trimming my hangnails (which I assume is okay) but then also the dry feeling sides nearby the hangnails for years. It has become such a habit because it hardens & I feel it all the time & repeat. I have just made a commitment to myself that I will not nip that skin anymore & just keep moisturizing with my CND Solar Oil and stop the revolving door of madness! Any other advice you can offer in this respect I will be grateful!♥ Also, thank you for explaining in detail the difference between cuticle & eponychium as that is a very common misconception & you see here that she is misinforming viewers.
Not true. The skin does not harden. Been doing this for decades and eponychium is the same and not like you preach. I've heard this fear-mongering for decades and never seen it actually happen to anyone.
It is really great to have that salon perfect manicure but you guys can learn the basic then experiment alter on as long as you still put into consideration the health of your nails.
It appears that even after you went over her nails with the remover, there was still red polish residue on her nails. Was there a reason you didn't remove it? Thank you!
Whoever is like me(haha) and came here for tingles from the massage, she warms up the lotion at 7:49(for sound trigger) and the actual massage part starts around the 8:10 mark.
hola realmente buen video quisiera que permanezcan haciendo material de calidad!!! Voy a seguir mirando sus creaciones. Les envio un beso nos vemos pronto ☝️👍🏽
Gillian Wills The eponychium should NEVER be cut, clipped or trimmed. The dry, hard skin is a result of clipping in the first place as the body recognises cut skin as damaged tissue so will regenerate harder, tougher skin to defend itself. The more you clip, the harder the skin gets. You can only resolve the issue by moisturising regularly with a top quality nail oil. OPI's Avoplex is outstanding for repairing the eponychium :-)
My natural nails are SO thin and bend so easily that I have to now keep them short or use press on nails. Why are they like this now and what can I do to help them?

she didn't remove the old nail Polish. I'm a manicurist myself and I'd never leave old polish on the nails.

Louise glamour nails and beauty so what did she do at 12:41? Im confused....
she left some left on the edges
she literally just removed the old nail polish-
Louise glamour nails and beauty she did

Amazing how their skin pigments match. Perfectly. Great instructional video love, despite my wise ass comment.

Varm88 she also says to paint the nail in 3 strokes but does the clients in about 7!
Crystal Jackson she was talking about coats, not strokes.

That red stain is from her own polish
+Syafiq Roslan it doesn't matter if it was the clients nail polish or not it should have been removed

Your not supposed to leave old polish on the nail as it just looks unprofessional
Hi.. I think u fogot to remove a polishes to the side?saw some polishes to the side

this video is very good
So approx how long would the whole treatment take? Including waitings times etc. Thanks.
A full manicure should take around 45 minutes. The massage should only take 5-10 minutes. Hope I helped :)
Perfectly done. 5 stars

hola realmente buen video quisiera que permanezcan haciendo material de calidad!!! Voy a seguir mirando sus creaciones. Les envio un beso nos vemos pronto ☝️👍🏽
cuticles help seal out moisture and dirt from getting under the skin, without them you can get fungi,so dont be so harsh on them..
She isn't cutting the cuticle, she's trimming dead eponychium. People falsely refer to the eponychium as cuticle...
If you get fungi on your hands that’s your fault ngl
