Exactly! I know such people. I completely hate such people with no imagination or courage. And the problem is, in Indian society, so many such people wield so much power and money, that it just pulls us the ones with imagination down.

It was down to budget in the end. Something this guy just couldn’t grasp. Yeah it would be great to implement all these grand designs but the budget didn’t stretch that far. No.1 priority of project design is budget, plan accordingly.

Ironically, given that this house revolves around the garden, this is the most boring garden I've seen in years. The "grass" looks like astroturf. No focal point to draw your interest, just a rectangular plot with a back wall with some hedges in front of it. A couple of small trees in excruciatingly plain, undersized containers. No flower beds of pretty flowers, just green and more green. No sculptures, not even any rocks. No water features. They could have done something really great here, and the house deserves it, but you can take it all in in about 5 seconds.

In my opinion the garden is too small to have what you suggested; if they had added sculptures or water features etc it would be too busy. The green colour is most perfect for the feel good effect.
