- Honda City 5th Gen : Is the ground clearance good enough? Real Mileage of the car and the best features like tyre pressure monitoring, hill descent control, traction control etc.
The #HondaCity 5th Gen V model is the best to buy in my opinion. The #Honda #City competes with Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Skoda Slavia.
Honda City is available in three variants : V, VX and ZX.

I have taken this 5th gen on terrible roads in the Chorla ghats and other off-road patches on Maharashtra with 4 ppl and it doesn't bottom out...
This is what i am looking for a perfect ground clearence test👍...

Thanks for the appreciation.

This car do not have good ground clearance dude on a normal breakers you have to move it turtle slowly otherwise it will touch. Verna has more good ground clearance
@princeyadavvlogs4467 no buddy! Not true, go and test drive one and then we can chat.

Ground Clearance also depends on Ramp Over Angle... Departure Angle.. Approach Angle , Suspension Set-Up...All these combinedly determine whether Car will hit or not..
Hi Tarun, that’s correct. I wanted to showcase the Honda city’s ground clearance because some ppl have a misconception about the car and it’s ground clearance. Which car do you have?
And do subscribe to the channel:)
What rahul?
I have driven the 5th gen petrol manual V variant all over South India. The ground clearance is pretty good. V variant is total value for money
Completely agree. What more do you like about the car?

Very well explained crisp, no repeating of lines, straight forward to the point.
This is what I was looking for, comparison with full suv ws very helpful
Ohh thanks god u speak English ,bcoz car reviews with English speakers are hard to find , thank you for sharing such a wonderful video . Helps me a lot thanks!- subcribed !
Thanks! Do share with frnds as well
This ground clearance is not good enough for the roads like this, you will feel it good when there are no passengers, inside the cabin. If you load up with passengers then definitely it gonna hit the ground.
Please retest the same with passengers inside.
It hardly scrapes any where with 4 on board
@@naughtyUphillboy you got to be extremely carefull even on small speed breakers. In small towns speed breakers at some places will be very sharp and high Honda City wouldn't go over them. I somehow feel though city has that Amazing engine is it worth the mental thinking to plan your routes everytime you go out .
@@naveenkumarrajo8130 Thanks for replying.Fully agreed Naveen, but I have booked a 5th Gen City, in Grey colour, for its engine & steering feel. Nice seats as well😅. I will most likely play with it's suspension.
@@naughtyUphillboy what do you mean by play with its suspension 😂
@@naveenkumarrajo8130 😁😆😅🤣😀 Putting slightly stiffer springs. I love playing with parts, you know what I mean ?
Very professional review.. I think this channel deserves much much more subscribers

What is the fully laden ground clearance for Honda City? I guess the 165mm is unladen ground clearance.
Im planning to get a Honda City, but with its low ground clearance (134mm in the Philippines), i am having second thoughts
Hi, you can put buffers to increase the overall ground clearance?
Do you have uneven roads where you think the car’s ground clearance might be an issue?
Do subscribe to the channel:)
I've City 2014 CVT.. It has just 90mm ground clearance if we include Engine Under belly shield which scrapes majority of the times on spread breakers.
From 2014 to 2022 the city has changed a lot and definitely has become higher as well.
I haven’t hit a speed breaker yet.

We Get 16 To 17 kmpl In City And 20 To 22 kmpl On Highways in vx manual Petrol
Hi, similar average for me as well. But if put on cruise control you’ll get better average on highway running.

Superb focussed review of the interesting tech behind it!
Is there any issues with head lights as I heard it from many user that headlights is not much effective or focused
It is really good, it spreads bright not pointy
165mm officially but seller told me 171mm for honda city 2022
Hi Rajeev, I’m not sure why the seller said that. But I’m pretty sure it is 165mm of ground clearance; it’s mention on websites.
What do you think?
Also, do subscribe to the channel, like and share the video with friends as well:)
It may be due to 185/55/r16 section in vx and zx with 4mm more height over 185/60/r15 of V.
@@ananddeshmukh9503 it depends on tyre size...me planning to buy VX cvt in 2023
compare ground clearence of 2013 Honda city and 5th generation honda city. I like my honda city 2013 but not satisfied with shock absorber and suspension
Honda city has been a good car overall.
i have budget of 15 lakh. And nothing comes close to its v cvt variant. Only thing stopping me was ground clearance. does the tyre r16 makes a big differance? Thanks for the video.
It is a perfect car and you can even install suspension buffers if required!
Go for it!

Don’t buy this. You are spending this much and what you get is 165 ground clearance which is not good. You won’t feel confident on speed breakers and mud roads 😢
yes, i skipped it. everyday headache@@zeeshanhaider834
That's a neat brief. What is your take on buying City as a everyday drive in Kerala along with some time every year in Bangalore. I am tall, so let's be specific to V variant.
Thanks Suresh. The Honda City is a good car to drive everyday in cities, very comfortable. Do long journeys the seats are really good with an excellent back seat.
And how tall is tall? Honestly if you’re 6 ft and a lil here and there the car should be fine to drive. Anything more it’ll be a problem.

@@BunchofTechI tried their topend,l variant, with it's sunroof, i was loosing headroom, okayish with the base variant.... I am around 6ft 4 inches tall...
@@gettosuresh Well, any update mate, I am looking forward at hybrid variant???
What's are your thoughts about choosing from slavia base variant, verna 2023 base model or honda city 2023 2nd model.
I want to buy..

I answered this
How is headlights throw specially of zx model (LED) lights?
Hi, they are ok but could be better. You can upgrade the headlights with higher watt bulbs for better throw.

It's available only in VCVT model not the VMT model.
How does it communicate to the mobile app, if it doesn’t have a satellite/in built sim connection?
It has in built sim.
Yes it has. But it’s only for Honda Connect. No other use.

Very informative..how about sitting 4 person in this car and driving on the same speedbreaker the one you showed...does it touches from below.?

Honda connect comes from base model??
Hi I am planning to buy city v model. Just want to ask is there any provision by dealer to install tweeters? Do they offer such kind of accesories?
Hi, you can add on tweeters but to my understanding a pair of 2 way coaxial speaker might be a better option. Just have a talk with good car stereo stores.
@@gettosuresh so is stock speakers not good enough?
@@anujkap91 the stock speakers are good, since u want to add a tweeter as upgrade, a 2 way coaxial speakers in front doors would give a better output.
@@gettosuresh but the coaxial speaker place will be occupied by stock speakers. Then I need to find small size coaxial speakers. Btw I have found the tweeters n plastic housing so i was thinking if I choose to go with city will get this installed.
What do u think of slavia
I drove the manual 1.0 litre turbo, its a excellent drive material. The rear seat is a bit lower overall it's a excellent car for everyday use. I am not sure how the three cylinder 1.0 litre engine would perform on regular long drives.
Japanese engines are knowing for reliability as well
I think turbo would not be that much reliable i tjink turbo as goku doing kaio ken to inc his power :p
Also seating of slavia I didnt like it against honda city what about you
@@abhinav9058 seats of City's ZX trim is simply superb, no two ways about it. Slavia's driver seat is awesome, I liked it's positioning and comfort, may be a better leather upholstery would take it to a different league. Rear, seemed low and different, I don't know how comfortable it is. Since, I majorly do long distances, I would prefer a minimum spec of 1.5 litre engine any day. For city commute, I think the 1 litre engine is good enough.
Very nice video … just td the cvt and I loved it … I am use to cvt as I drive the baleno cvt now… just confused between vx and zx … pl help in clarifying also I am not a fan of lane watch camera …can v change the halogen bulbs to led ones in vx ?
You can change but only from Honda, they will replace the entire headlight, you cannot replace the led lights only. Honda currently doesn't allow the replacement
With only one person it's not much issue if u sit 5 ppl or even 4 adults with avg weight on higher side the car sinks a bit so gc is an issue I feel.
Yes, I agree. Do subscribe to the channel and share the video as well.
In our place we don't consider this as a speed breaker

What about hill start assist..
Honda city has hill start assist and hill hold even when car is on.

best ground clearance ..i guess it is close to 170mm...for 5th gen honda city
Could you Pls provide demo on how to set Cruise control in VMT model.
After you cross 40kmph, you can use cruise control in any gear. Press Cruise button first, then + or - . Never press brake while applying cruise. You can change gear while applying cruise or while using + or -. To deacrivate either apply brake or press Cancel button. Clutch or Accelerator will not cancel or will not change cruise value. Keep using cruise control and you will explore some more features related to cruise control. Enjoy!
@@comedyduniya7587 thanks bro better put a video for more clarification
For 80% city driving and 20% highway, is Honda elevate a better choice over the city? I have 2014 4th gen vmt model of city, which car is a good upgrade?
They both are based off the same model and background. Same engine etc.
It depends if you want a suv structure or a sedan.
If you’re bored of a sedan go for the elevate.
